When I woke up my head was pounding and there was a slight ringing in my ears. I pried my eyes open and blinked a few times before looking around. I was still in the van, but instead of the bench I was on the floor. I tried to move, but it was then I realised that I was lying on my stomach and my arms and legs had been bound behind my back, my left ankle to my right wrist and my right ankle to my left wrist. I twisted and turned, but the restraints were tight and there was no way I was getting out of them. I had also been gagged. A foul tasting cloth had been shoved in my mouth and duct tape placed over my lips.

"Wakey wakey."

I glared when Blake smirked at me.

"Comfy?" Eli called and my glared intensified. "I told you I'd shut you up."

I wriggled around on the floor and tried my hardest to loosen the restraints, but they were done up expertly.

I'd expect nothing less from Eli Reynolds. At the Agency a few of us were "rising stars". We were the best of the best. It always came down to Eli and me. I had never met him until today, but it was always me and him competing for the top spot.

Until I ran away.

I had heard many stories about him, as I was sure he had heard stories about me.

I had heard that he was an extremely skilled fighter, emotionless, strong, fast and overall... A excellent assassin.

It's what we were. The Agency trained teenagers like us to be highly skilled assassins.

"You won't get out," Eli said. "Stop trying."

I scowled at him, but he only stared back at me.

"You may as well relax and get comfy, we've still got a few hours before we get back to the Agency," Blake said.

I caught Jack's eye and then looked at the bottle of water that was between his legs. "She wants water," Jack said and he lifted up the water bottle.

"I'll do it," Blake said and took the water from Jack and crouched down in front of me. "Don't you dare try and bite me."

He ripped the duct tape off and I spat the cloth out. "Wouldn't dream of it," I said sarcastically and Blake lifted the water bottle to my lips. After I had a few gulps he threw the bottle on the floor and held the screwed up cloth in his hand. "Open up."

"Come on, you don't need to gag me," I said.

"This isn't going to be the first time I've shoved something in your mouth," Blake warned and my eyes widened at his comment.

"Pig," I scowled and he smirked. "Wait, you can't gag me, what if I have a coughing fit? I'll choke."

"Jack gave you the antidote. You won't be coughing up blood anymore," Blake said. "Now open your mouth."

"You do not need to fucking gag me," I snapped and Blake smirked.

"But I love seeing you tied up and helpless, Dais," he whispered and grabbed my chin, forcing my mouth open and stuffing the cloth in my mouth. He placed the duct tape over my mouth and I scowled at him. "Don't frown," he chuckled, "only a few more hours and then we'll be home."

*
I had fallen asleep again and I was roughly awoken by the duct tape being ripped off my mouth. My eyes flew open and I glared at Blake as I spat the cloth out. Eli crouched behind me and cut my restraints but as soon as I could move freely him and Blake grabbed my arms and yanked me to my feet.

"Don't try anything," Blake warned as he let go of one arm and grabbed the handcuffs on the floor. Eli grabbed my other arm and held me tightly against his chest. I could feel his cool breath on the back of my neck and I swallowed at our close proximity.

Blake cuffed my ankles and wrists together and both sets of cuffs were connected by a chain that went round my waist and then down to my feet. I couldn't lift my hands up beyond my waist and walking was extremely difficult.

I looked down at my thigh and saw that the wound had been bandaged up while I was knocked unconscious.

Eli pushed me forward and I groaned in discomfort, my limbs were in pain after being in a such an uncomfortable position for a long time.

The doors to the van opened and I stiffened when I recognised the building in the distance.

"Welcome back," Jack grinned and jumped off the van. I shuffled towards the end of the van and stumbled when Eli pushed me out of it.

I span round to glare at him, but he just raised his eyebrows and jumped out of the van behind me. He grabbed my arm and pushed me forward. His two mates walked in front of us and Blake and Jack were behind. As we neared the building I tensed. People were walking in and out and I earned many curious looks.

I probably looked a mess, covered in blood, ripped jeans and handcuffed to the max.

The Agency was rather busy when we walked in and I noticed a group of people all huddled by the door, getting spoken to by an agent who I had worked with before. His name was Max.

He looked at me with a shocked expression and the people in front of him followed his gaze. They stared at me with wide eyes and open mouths and it was then I realised these were new recruits on their first day at the Agency.

"Shit," he murmured and I saw his hand go to his gun, preparing himself for if I made a move.

"Chill, Max, she won't try anything," Blake called and I rolled my eyes.

We had gained the attention of many agents and I smirked when they all seemed shocked at my presence. It seemed that no one was expecting me to get caught.

I noticed the new recruits all whispering and looking at me curiously.

I sighed and stopped walking. There was no harm going down with a bang.

"Daisy," Blake called, "whatever you're planning don't. You're extremely outnumbered."

"There's no harm trying," I shrugged and I smirked when the handcuffs fell to my feet. I dropped the key I had swiped from Eli and launched a kick at his side. He stumbled and I edged backward, eyeing Blake, Jack and Eli cautiously.

"You've just got to cause a scene," Blake muttered and he nodded to Jack who charged at me. I side stepped and grabbed his fist, using his momentum to flip him over so he landed painfully on his back.

Blake came at me next and I knew I had to do something quickly. Blake was one of the best. He taught me everything I knew so he knew how to beat me.

"Just surrender," Blake said and I gasped when he landed a punch to my jaw.

"I never go down easy," I said and deflected his punches. I aimed a kick to his stomach and while he was distracted I grabbed his knife that was tucked into his belt and elbowed him in the face. I then ran over to the new recruits and grabbed a girl by her hair, pulling her in front of me and holding the knife to her throat.

She started to tremble in my hold and her whimpers annoyed me, but now I had the attention of everyone in the room.

All of the agents had guns aimed at me, but I knew they wouldn't shoot to kill. They would only take the shot if it was guaranteed I'd live.

"Daisy, let the girl go!" Blake called, holding his gun up to me.

"Not gonna happen," I grunted, kneeing the struggling girl in the leg.

"Daisy, this isn't you, you're not one to take hostages," Blake said.

"That's more your style," I nodded, "but desperate times," I shrugged.

"Please let me go," the girl begged.

"Oh get a hold of yourself," I scoffed. "You're here to become an assassin, if you break in a simple hostage situation you are not going to last."

"Dais, come on, man," Jack called. "You ain't gonna win here."

I scanned the crowd and saw I was extremely outnumbered. "Wait," I whispered and frowned.

Someone was missing.

"Let her go."

I heard a gun cocking and rolled my eyes when I heard Eli's voice. "Must be getting clumsy," I said and Eli pressed the gun between my shoulder blades.

"I know we are not allowed to shoot to kill, but I honestly could not care less about you," he said. "Now, you're going to listen to me and do exactly as I say."

"Sir yes sir," I said sarcastically.

"Raise your arms slowly, no sudden movements," he ordered and I slowly moved the knife from the girls neck and held my arms in the air.

I knew I was never going to escape, but I thought I'd try and cause as much hassle as possible. Max rushed over to the girl and dragged her away from me and then held his gun up, pointing it at me.

"Awh, Max, you wouldn't dare hurt a friend," I said as Eli gripped the knife out of my hand and threw it to the floor.

"Nice to see you, Daisy," he said and I chuckled.

"Wish I could say the same thing," I shrugged.

"Are you going to give up now?" Eli wondered as he handcuffed my wrists behind my back.

"Well, considering Maxie here is close enough to deliver a flesh wound that won't kill me, yep, I think I'm done," I nodded.

Blake came over to me and hit the back of my head. "Was that necessary?"

"No, but it was funny seeing your faces when I took the newbie hostage," I shrugged and glanced at the girl who was staring at me with wide eyes. "No hard feelings."

"Let's go, Rob wants to see you. He won't be happy about the commotion you've caused," Blake said and grabbed my arm. Eli took my other and they walked me through the ground floor of the Agency.

I tensed when I saw a familiar female marching towards me and she stopped in front of us. Her arm was in a sling and she did not look happy to see me. "Beth," I said cautiously. "How's things?"

Beth drew her hand back and punched me. It was with her weak hand, but it still hurt. "Ow," I muttered and looked back at her. "I deserved that," I shrugged. "Sorry about the whole shooting you in the shoulder thing, but I purposely shot you so it wouldn't cause any permanent damage-"

A slap silenced me and I cracked my jaw. "You shot me either way," she snapped. "We were meant to be friends."

"We are-"

"Friends don't shoot each other!" She exclaimed and glanced at Blake. "Unless you're him, you two always seem to be stabbing and hurting each other."

"Beth, I'm sorry," I said sincerely.

"I'm pissed at you, but I'm glad you're alive," she said and quickly kissed my cheek before walking off.

"Man, that was with her left hand and it looked like that hurt," Blake smirked.

"Your sister is one strong bitch," I muttered.

"I'm still annoyed you shot her before I did," Blake muttered and I couldn't help but laugh. "Come on, let's go." I was guided towards the elevator and Eli pushed the button for the top floor.

"He's going to be pissed," Blake said.

"Yep."

"You're going to wish you were dead."

"Yep."

"You scared?"

I laughed. "He may scare most people, but not me," I said.

"Daddy's girl," Blake scoffed and Eli turned to me with a frown on his space.

"Daddy's girl?" He repeated. "You're Rob's daughter?"

"Adopted daughter," I corrected him.

"Well, I'm glad I didn't kill you now," Eli said.

"I'm not. I'd love to see him rip your balls off for murdering his precious daughter," I smirked.

"But you'd be dead, idiot," Blake muttered, but I chose to ignore him.

The elevator finally got the the top floor and I paused when the doors opened. "Thought you weren't scared," Blake smirked.

"I'm his daughter and I ran away, of course I'm freaking scared of his reaction," I muttered and Blake nudged me forward.

I gulped and walked out of the elevator and down the corridor towards his office. Eli unlocked the handcuffs outside the door and when my hands were free I walked in without knocking.

Rob was on the phone having a heated conversation. His eyes landed on me as soon as I entered and he regarded me with a harsh expression before concentrating on his phone call. I shut the door behind me and slowly walked over to his desk, sitting on the chair in front of it. His conversation lasted for a few more minutes and when he finally hung up and I avoided eye contact and suddenly found my dirty nails very interesting.

"Do you have any idea how much trouble you have caused, young lady?" Rob said, his voice was firm and held a lot of anger.

"I assume by the tone of your voice quite a lot," I said with a shrug of my shoulders.

"Starting with the damages you caused when you started your stupid escape. You not only damaged Agency property, but you shot an agent-"

"She got me back there. Nice punch to the face," I interrupted, but stopped talking when Rob glared at me.

"And the money spent on agents searching for you. You were good, I give you that. We never would have found you if it wasn't for the selfie," Rob admitted and I rolled my eyes, that was the closest thing to a compliment that he would ever say to me.

"Taught by the best," I murmured.

"And the little scene downstairs," Rob said and narrowed his eyes at me. "Holding a new recruit at knifepoint! Are you mental?"

"Many people would argue I was," I nodded and shrunk back in my seat when Rob scowled at me.

"Not everyone knows you are my daughter, you could've been shot!" He fumed.

"Adopted daughter," I corrected.

"I've raised you since you were 5 years old. You are my daughter, blood doesn't mean anything!" Rob snapped. "You'd think I could've raised you to have some manners."

"What are you going to do? Shoot me?" I was pushing my luck, but I didn't really care.

"Quiet," Rob ordered. "You look like shit."

"I blame Blake for the most part," I shrugged.

"You will join your old team," Rob said. "Blake is in charge. You will listen to him and do everything he says."

"Did you forget the part where I ran away?" I asked. "I do not want to be here."

"I don't care, Daisy," Rob shrugged.

"I don't want to kill people!" I exclaimed and shot out of my seat. "I'm done being an assassin!"

"We kill bad people. Murderers, rapists, terrorists! We have never harmed an innocent person," Rob snapped and stood up. "You will go back to training and carry on with your job."

"What about the families of the people we kill? They are innocent," I growled.

"The little boy," Rob muttered. "You can't get over that, can you?"

I didn't say anything and Rob sighed.

"You will see a counsellor twice a week," Rob said, sitting back in his seat.

"I don't need a shrink, I need out of this place."

"Failure to do so will result in consequences," Rob said sternly. "Sit back down, Daisy. Now."

I gritted my teeth and glared at Rob, but sat back down. "I'm not killing anyone."

"You've killed plenty, but it only took one little boy to change your mind," Rob said and frowned. "Once your injury has healed and you aren't in the mind frame of causing havoc and running wild I will give you a mission. You will complete it, Daisy."

"I fucking won't," I muttered and Rob slammed his fist on his desk.

"Language, young lady!" He scolded. "I am your father and you will do as I say. By the time I give you your mission you will want to complete it."

"The hell I will," I scowled and stood up. "Are we done?"

"No, take a seat. I've not finished," Rob said and I sighed, sitting back down.

"Teams are changing," Rob said. "I'm trying out something new."

"Which is?"

"I will be putting two teams together. Two individual teams will become one unit. You will all become one new team."

"How fun," I said sarcastically.

"Eli Reynolds team will be joining yours."

My face dropped and I looked at Rob. "What? No, not happening."

"What's the problem, Daisy?"

"Eli is the problem. I am not going anywhere near that ass," I growled.

"You don't like him," Rob said.

"I'd rather Jack give me the poison again than spend more time with him."

"I suddenly like Eli a lot more," Rob smiled. "From this point onwards your individual teams are now one."

"You can shove that up your ass," I snapped and stood up from the chair and walked over to the door.

"Daisy, go down to medical, get yourself checked out. I will see you later on," Rob called and I yanked the door open to reveal Blake and Eli. Blake grabbed my wrist before I could go anywhere and looked at Rob.

"She coming back to the team?" He called and Rob nodded.

"You're in charge of her, just like before. Get her down to medical and her her cleaned up, then take her to the house and try not to let her escape. Again," Rob said and I glared at him.

"It was nice to see you too, dad," I muttered and I walked away from his office and back towards the elevator.

"That went well," Blake said as the elevator doors closed in front of them. "Neither of you yelled too much."

"That was well?" Eli said and I glared at him.

"Their love for each other is deep down," Blake explained.

"Sometimes I think he wishes he could unadopt me," I muttered and soon we were at the medical level.

It was only when I was seated on a hospital bed with someone dabbing my face with cotton wool I realised how tired and exhausted I was.

I also hurt a lot.

I had showered already, all of the rooms at medical had joining bathrooms. Blake had brought my some clothes to change into. I nearly punched him when he handed me the lacy matching underwear, short navy cotton shorts that I slept in and one of his black shirts.

I winced when the nurse dabbed above my eyebrow and she smiled apologetically at me. "Sorry, you have a nasty gash there. I've got to clean it properly."

"It's fine," I muttered and waited for her to finish cleaning my cuts. The stab wound on my leg was killing, but I had been given painkillers and I hoped they would kick in soon. The stitching Blake had done was fine so they just dressed the wound again and left it as it was.

It turned out that I had a mild concussion from earlier in the day. I had been instructed to go straight home once I had been cleaned up and go to bed.

When the nurse was done she left the room and I was left alone for a maximum of five seconds before Blake and Jack entered the room. I looked at Jack's hand and saw he was holding a gun like contraption.

"What is that?" I asked and in two seconds Jack had the gun like thing pressed to the inside of my wrist. He pressed the trigger and I hissed in pain when something was injected into my arm. "What the hell?" I gasped and looked at my wrist that now had a lump forming.

"The lump will fade in a few hours," Jack said.

"What did you just inject me with?" I demanded.

"A tracker. It's impossible to detect and impossible to take out. Next time you plan on running think realistically about how far you will get," Jack grinned and I glared at him, but I was too exhausted to do anything.

"Asshole," I muttered and rubbed my wrist.

"You got the all clear, you can leave now," Blake said. "Let's go."

I stuffed my feet into my combat boots and jumped off the hospital bed, which was not a good idea as it sent a sharp pain down my thigh. "Crap," I muttered and Blake rolled his eyes.

"For someone so smart, you're really stupid," he muttered, but I ignored him and walked out of the medical room with Jack and Blake on either side of me. "Time to go home, Daisy."
