"So I broke down and Rob even hugged me," I said, finishing telling Blake what had happened with Rob last night. "He never hugs me."

"You never cry," Blake pointed out. "There's a first time for everything."

"True," I murmured.

"Why did we come to your room?" Blake grumbled and fidgeted on the bed. "Your bed is tiny."

"You carried me here, don't complain," I said.

Blake shrugged and rolled over, wrapping his arms round me and pulling me to his chest. "We have to get up soon," he grumbled.

"I've got to be at the Agency at 1pm," I sighed and squirmed when Blake traced my tattoo on my side with his nail.

"Ticklish?" Blake smirked and I slapped his hand away.

"Stop it," I scowled. I squealed when Blake dug his fingers into my sides and his hold on me stopped me from getting away. "Stop it!" I yelled and Blake laughed. "Blake, you asshole! I hate being tickled."

"Oh, I know," Blake said and suddenly my door flew open and I yelled in shock when Mason appeared at the door.

"Mason!" I shouted and grabbed my bed covers, covering myself and Blake's lower half up. "What the hell! Don't people knock in this bloody house!"

"Now that is a lovely sight," Mason smirked and I grabbed my alarm clock from my side and threw it at him.

"What the hell do you want?" I scowled.

"If I knew you two were busy then I wouldn't have invited your guest in," Mason said and I frowned.

"Guest?" Blake asked for me and I froze when Mason stepped aside to reveal Joey.

"Shit," I swore and Joey frowned as he looked from me to Blake.

"Daisy," he said slowly, his face turning into a picture of pure horror. "That's your brother."

"Joey, I promise it's not what it looks like!" I blurted.

"I came to apologise for yesterday when I realised you weren't in school..." His eyes went to an empty condom wrapper on the floor and I swore under my breath. "... But it seems you're doing great fucking your brother!" He scowled and I cringed.

"Joey, it's not like that," I said quickly.

"Don't even try to lie!" Joey gasped. "You are both naked and in bed!"

"Fuck!" I yelled when Joey frantically ran from my door. I grabbed Blake's tshirt from the floor and roughly pulled in on. Once I was covered I bolted out of bed and chased after Joey. "Joey, stop! Let me explain!"

I bundled down the stairs and swore when I crashed into Eli. "Watch it!" He snapped and surprisingly he grabbed my shoulders and stopped me from tumbling to the floor.

I quickly shoved Eli away from me and chased after Joey. "Joey, for Fucksake! Stop!"

I sighed in relief when Oli appeared and blocked Joey's path. "Whoa, man. You alright?"

"I need to go!" Joey gasped.

"Joey, wait," I called and I was aware that the whole house had gathered to watch.

"No! You're disgusting!" Joey cried. "You're fucking your brother!"

"Adam's here?" Oli wondered and Joey frowned.

"Who's Adam?" Joey asked.

"Her brother," Oli said and Joey looked between me and Blake who had only pulled on a pair of boxers and ran down stairs after me.

"Then who's he?" Joey said, cautiously pointing to Blake.

"Um..." I said awkwardly, unsure on how to explain this. "We're not blood related. He's my step brother."

"That's still gross," Joey frowned and I jumped I heard the front door open and Adam walked into the room. "Sir?"

"Adam," I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "Fucking hell."

"Well, this has made my day easier," Adam said when he spotted Joey and I gasped when I realised what Adam was doing here.

"No!" I said sternly. "Joey, you need to go. Now."

"Not happening," Adam said. "Joey, take a seat."

"Sir, what are you doing here?" Joey asked.

"Sit," Adam said.

"Leave!" I snapped.

"Shut up, Daisy," Adam called. "Joey, we need to talk."

"No you do not," I said and stepped forward. "Joey, get out right now. I'm being serious." Joey frowned and glanced at me nervously. My eyes were cold and he knew I wasn't messing around. "Get out."

As soon as Joey moved Adam reached out and grabbed his arm. "Sit down," he said sternly. "Daisy, shut the fuck up."

"He's not being recruited," I said. "He's not!"

"That's not your decision," Adam shrugged and I walked up to him and Joey.

"Let him go, Adam," I said lowly, raising my eyebrow threateningly.

"Daisy, you're skilled, but you won't be able to do anything against all of us," Adam said and narrowed his eyes at me. "Don't make me hurt you."

"Hurt her!" Joey gasped. "What is going on!"

"You do not want to know," I muttered and I tensed when Blake walked up behind me and placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Stand down," he said into my ear and I noticed Joey's disgusted look.

"Stand down?" I questioned. "As if." I suddenly kicked my leg forward, hitting Adam and twisted out of Blake's hold. I grabbed Adam's wrist and twisted it at an angle that made him let go of Joey's hand and I shoved Joey backwards. "Run," I ordered and jumped out of Blake's reach. "Now, Joey!"

"Fucking hell," Adam sighed and grabbed Joey by the back of his neck as he tried to run off. "Sit and stay," Adam commanded and pushed Joey over to the sofa where Jack was sitting, poking at his fresh bandage.

I quickly backed up when Adam and Blake faced me and cornered me. I chewed on my lip and debated my options. I sighed and slowly raised my hands in surrender. I was outnumbered. There was no way I was going to win. "Fine," I snapped. "I give up."

"Good, because I didn't really feel like hitting my sister," Adam muttered and rolled his eyes.

"Sister?" Joey frowned and I sighed, running my fingers through my hair in frustration.

"I'm sorry I got you dragged into all this," I mumbled. "Blake isn't my brother," I said, rather the truth coming from me, even though I didn't want Joey knowing any of this. "Adam is."

Joey furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Adam. "Mr Johnson?"

Adam shook his head. "Adam McCaughlin."

"Daisy, I'm confused. What is going on?" Joey asked and I took a deep breath.

"Joey, we're assassins," I said slowly, hoping he wouldn't freak out like Noah did.

Joey was silent for a few minutes before he looked up at me and nodded. "That explains a lot."

"Right, Daisy, leave. It's best if we talk to Joey without your interruptions," Adam said. "It's pretty clear you don't want him involved with all this, so go."

"No, I'm staying right here," I said stubbornly and crossed my arms over my chest.

"You're not going to help," Adam snapped. "Leave. You've got to get ready to see James anyway. Go."

I raised my eyebrows and stood my ground.

Blake stepped forward, but Adam shook his head. "I need you here. Eli, help us out," Adam said and I frowned when Eli walked over to me.

"What do you think you're doing?" I said cautiously and stepped back as he neared.

"Upstairs willingly or not?" Eli asked. "I think I already know the answer, but maybe there's a chance you are going to do the right thing for once in your life."

"I'm sorry, I can't really hear properly over your bullshit," I said and frowned. "What did you say?"

Eli narrowed his eyes at me and I gasped when he suddenly reached forward for me. I jumped back and flinched when I crashed into the wall and Eli took my second distraction to grab my wrist and pull me towards him. I raised my elbow, but Eli ducked my throw and swept my legs from underneath me. I yelled when he easily picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

"For christs sake," I groaned. "You're an ass."

"And you're a bitch," Eli said and walked over to the stairs.

"Thank you, Eli!" Adam called.

"Daisy," Mason said and he chuckled. "Lovely ass."

"Mason, shut your mouth!" I growled.

"Don't blame me," he snorted. "You're the one not wearing any underwear."

I groaned and closed my eyes. "Fucking hell," I sighed.

Eli was silent as he carried me up the stairs and I gasped in surprise when he roughly dropped me on the ground and shoved me up against the wall of my room. "For once in your life, Daisy," Eli snapped and I shifted uncomfortably at the lack of space between us, "do as you're fucking told."

"Excuse me?" I said, arching an eyebrow at him. "Get the hell away from me." I tried to push Eli backwards, but he grabbed my wrists and pinned them above my head. "Eli!"

"Daisy, you always fight. Always. Just stop it, for once," Eli growled. "You're so fucking stubborn, just stop it! I'm getting sick of it!"

"I don't really give a flying fuck about what you think," I snapped and I held my breath in suspense when Eli leaned forward, his face centimetres from mine.

"Just do as you're told," he said lowly, his dark eyes flickering to mine. "Just this once."

"What will you do, eh?" I wondered. "If I don't."

Eli shook his head and dragged his bottom lip through his teeth. "Judging by how easy it is for me to take you on..." Eli smirked slowly and edged slightly closer. "I don't think you want to know."

"Is that a threat?" I said and narrowed my eyes at him.

Eli smirked again and I stiffened when he ran his knuckles over the bruise on my cheek. "Yes," he whispered and I looked at him in shock as he stepped back from me and strode out of my room, slamming the door loudly behind him.

I glared at the door. "Where's a damn knife when you need one?"
