I woke up the next morning and stumbled out of bed. It was the day of the mission and I could already hear everyone moving about and getting ready. The kitchen was packed and I elbowed Eli out of my way so I could reach the kettle to make some coffee.

Eli caught my arm. "Just because I'm the only one who you can touch without being frightened, doesn't give you the excuse to elbow me, princess," he said into my arm and I gasped when he elbowed me back. "It's not so nice, is it?"

I stuck my middle finger up at him and glared, but turned to the kettle and made myself some coffee.

"We're leaving at 10am!" Blake's voice yelled. "Everyone better be ready."

I groaned and took a sip of much needed coffee. I was not looking forward to this mission.

"Daisy, I'm making pancakes, do you want some?" Joey asked.

"Not hungry," I said.

"But I'll have some," Mason said and clapped Joey on the back. "Cheers mate." Mason turned to me and smirked. "Awh, is poor little Daisy upset about going on a mission?"

"I'm not in the mood," I growled. "I will strangle you with the kettle wire if you don't get out of my sight!"

Mason grinned and winked. "You love me, Dais," he said and backed up.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Cheer up, Daisy, you get to spend the next couple of hours stuck in a police car!" Jack called and grinned when I narrowed my eyes.

"I'm going to get ready," I said and walked out of the room, kicking Mason when he went to slap my ass.

I made my way to my room and set my coffee on the side. I showered quickly and then changed into a pair of ripped skinny jeans, a white vest top and a suede black jacket. I ran a comb through my silver hair and left it to flow down my back in waves. I brushed my teeth and then shoved my feet into my combat boots. Once I was ready I checked the time and saw it was quarter to ten.

I picked up my bag with all my clothes in in and hauled it over my shoulder and made my way downstairs. I went outside and chucked the bag into the back of the mini bus that everyone else would be travelling in.

As I turned around I heard another car pull up and I groaned when I saw it was a police car.

"Your ride's here!" Blake said with a smirk when he exited the house. "Your cover starts here, Dais."

"Yay," I said dryly and stiffened when James got out of the car. "What the fuck is he doing? Why is he dressed as a police officer?"

"He's your lift," Blake chuckled. "There was no one else available, and even though he is a counsellor, he is still a trained agent."

"You've got to be shitting me."

"Daisy," James greeted and I glared when he walked up to me.

"See you in a few hours, Daisy Kellerman."

"Shut up!" I yelled, startling James. "Shut the fuck up!"

"Is something wrong, Daisy?" James asked, looking at me in the reflection of his wing mirror.

"Yes, something is wrong!" I exclaimed. "You! I'm sick of you wittering on about me! You don't know me! You don't know what is going to help me! I'm sick of your shitty questions and you thinking you know best because you have a degree in fucking psychology!"

James frowned at me and I think he was relieved that he had handcuffed me ten minutes ago as we were going to be arriving soon.

"Daisy, this anger is one of the reasons you need to talk to me-"

"Oh fuck off!" I snapped and looked out of the window. We had entered a town now, and it had taken 5 long hours to get there.

I twisted my wrists and gritted my teeth. I had to make it believable that I had just come from prison, we didn't know who was going to be watching when I turned up to the orphanage.

I saw James open his mouth to speak. "You are so fucking lucky I'm handcuffed or your nose would be broken again," I growled. "Don't speak to me.

James sighed and shook his head and within a few minutes we were parked outside a large house. "Welcome home," James said.

It didn't look like an orphanage. It was just a really large house. I glanced across the road and spotted another large house. There were a group of guys outside, cleaning their motorbikes, but their attention was drawn to the police car.

James got out of the car and walked over to my door. He opened it and grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the car.

"You tensed," James pointed out.

"You're lucky I'm not seeing you for a while," I growled and James walked me round the car just as the door to the orphanage opened and Blake walked out, followed by a guy I did not want to see. "You're fucking joking!" I called. "What the fuck is he doing here!"

Kent crossed his arms over his chest and smirked at me, his eyes glittering dangerous. "Hello, Daisy."

"Oh hell no," I hissed.

"You better make sure you've got a tight hold on her," Blake said to James just as I ripped myself from James grasp. "Told you."

James was quick though, he grabbed my arm and yanked me back, shoving me into the car and pressing an arm across my back and pinning me down. "Get off me!" I snapped.

"Behave yourself!" James warned and my eyes flickered across the road to the group of the guys that were watching us curiously.

"Not with that bastard here," I hissed.

"Daisy, be the bigger person," James said and let me up just as my eyes landed on a guy walking out of the house opposite us. He was wiping his greasy hands, from the motorbike, onto a rag and he looked right at me. He was tall and his hair was light, it reminded me of my own. Silver. I watched as his eyes looked from me to the police car and he frowned.

James pulled me up and span me round. "If I uncuff you will you stay where you are?" James asked.

"Only if you say please," I said and Blake walked up to me. "What the fuck is he doing here?"

"He's on the mission," Blake said lowly. "And you and Eli will both have to accept that."

When my hands were free I rubbed my wrists. "Accept that! Seriously?"

"Last time you saw each other you shot him," Blake reminded me. "I'm surprised he's not trying to kill you."

"He deserved it," I spat.

Blake looked at James. "You can go."

James nodded and he got back into the police car and drove off. "Thank god," I sighed.

"You're angry," Blake said. "Why?"

"Try being stuck in a car with him!" I scowled.

"Let's go inside," Blake said and gently took my arm. He didn't trust me not to lunge at Kent. "I know this makes you uncomfortable, so just do you as your told and this will be the worst it will get." Blake nudged me forward and I gritted my teeth but walked.

"Always causing problems," Kent tutted as I walked past him. "You should have died that night."

"Daisy!" Blake yelled, but he couldn't grab me in time as I yanked away from him and ran up to Kent, aiming an expert kick to his face. Kent fell to the ground with a thud and I pinned him down, attacking him with punches.

"I'm going to kill you!" I yelled. "How fucking dare you say that!"

Kent grunted and he managed to block a punch. "I only speak the truth," he growled.

"You fucking-" Arms were wrapped around me and I was easily hauled off Kent who propped himself up onto his elbows and wiped blood from his face.

We now had an audience. As well as the guys that had rushed out of the house when they heard yelling there was people that I didn't recognise. An older woman stepped forward.

"What is going on?!" She demanded and I thrashed around in Blake's grip. He was struggling to keep a hold of me.

"This is Daisy," Blake grunted as Kent pulled himself off the ground. "She won't be any trouble."

"Somehow I don't believe you," the woman frowned. "I let you guys come here because I was told you wouldn't be a problem."

"There won't," Blake insisted. "Daisy is just having a rough time. She won't be a problem."

"Who the fuck is that?" I asked and pulled away from Blake, but he managed to keep a hold on me.

"Harriet owns the orphanage," Blake said. "Stop struggling!"

"Then get the fuck off me!" I snapped. I didn't like it. I didn't like his touch. It made me feel on edge. I didn't feel safe.

"Fucking hell," Blake muttered. "Eli, get her inside and calm her down!"

"You want Eli to calm her down?" Mason called. "Them two bicker more than you two do-"

Eli barged past Mason and walked up to me. He sent a dark glare to Kent and grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards him. Before I could blink Eli had picked me up and I was thrown over his shoulder. "Eli!" I yelled, but he ignored me and walked into the house.

I gasped when Eli walked into a room with two beds and dropped me on one. I looked up at him and took a deep breath. "I'm going to kill him."

"I'm not happy about it either," Eli said. "But you can't behave like that. We're on the mission now."

"He said that I should have died that night!" I snapped. "I think I'm justified behaving like that."

Eli paused and his eyes darkened. "I'm not going to argue with you there, princess."

I stood up and ran my fingers through my hair, taking deep breaths to try and calm my heartbeat. "Him and Emma," I scowled. "This is not a good mission for me."

"Just ignore him, it's all you can do without getting angry and... blowing up," Eli said and there was a knock on the door. Harriet walked in and she looked at me.

"I would like to talk to Daisy," she said and I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Calm the fuck down, princess," Eli said, raising an eyebrow at me as he left the room.

"What do you want, Harriet?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I just wanted to talk, I understand you have some... Issues-"

I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"But while you are in this house you need to behave. We have children here, impressionable children and I will not have bad behaviour or bad language. Am I clear?"

I stared blankly at her.

"I most certainly will not have fighting! I don't care what happened between you and Kent, that fight was unnecessary!"

"Unnecessary?" I said with a laugh. "Let me tell you something, Harriet, I was raped, I was stabbed and I nearly died. Well, I did die, actually. Kent just told me that I should have died, now do you really expect me to stand there and let him say that?"

Harriet paled. "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware you've had to go through that. Kent shouldn't have said what he did, but you still can't go around punching people. They can be punished other ways."

"Whatever," I scoffed.

Harriet sighed. "Let me show you to your room, Daisy," she said and she walked out of the room. I took a deep breath and followed her, walking down the corridor until she stopped behind a door. "We have an odd number here at the orphanage currently, so you get the room to yourself."

"Cheers," I muttered and walked into the room and slammed the door behind me.

Two beds where in the room and my bag was on one of them. It was simple, with cream carpet and white walls. The curtains were dark blue as well as the bed sheets. "Lovely," I sighed and walked over to the window seat that was in the middle of the room. I was on the top floor and my window overlooked the road. I opened it and sat down, putting my head in my hands and taking a deep breath. When I looked up I spotted the silver haired guy looking at me from across the road.
