"Princess, what did we say about being late?" Eli called as he walked into my room the next morning. "You snuck out last night, don't think either Blake or me are happy."

"Good morning to you too," I groaned and rubbed my eyes. "I'm not coming to school today. I feel like shit."

"Maybe you shouldn't have gone out last night."

"No, it's not that," I mumbled. "I think I'm getting what Dante has."

"Daisy-"

"Talk quieter," I grimaced. "My head feels like it's been sat on by an elephant."

Eli pursed his lips and stared at me for a few moments before nodding curtly. "Get better," he said and walked out of my room. As soon as I heard his footsteps walking away I threw my bed covers off me and smirked.

I stood by my window and watched as everyone left for school. Jasper and his friends followed a few minutes later.

Once they were gone I grabbed my bag and started to pack. I packed a small rucksack, taking only the necessities. As soon as I was packed I dressed in black jeans, a grey vest top and my leather jacket with my boots. I slipped a knife into my boots, jacket and bag and then I was set.

I looked down at my wrist and smiled. The tracker was disabled. The Agency couldn't track me and the other Agency had no way of tracking me down.

I was free.

No one here knew the tracker was disabled. I hadn't been given any poison that would drag me back into this shitty life.

This was my chance.

I slung my bag over my shoulder and made my way downstairs. The house was empty. I got my bike from the garage and looked back at the house as I mounted it.

I would miss Beth and a few others, but I was sick of this life. I had no control. I would rather spend a life looking after my shoulder than being told what to do constantly and not having a choice.

I didn't want to be an assassin.

No matter how bloody good I was at it.

I revved my bike and set off down the road without looking back.

I had barely reached the outskirts of town when I realised I was being followed.

"Shit," I cursed and tried to make out who was following me. It wasn't anyone I recognised.

It was as if we were playing a game for a while. I'd lose my followers only to be found soon after. It was going round in circles.

"Fuck," I swore and abruptly turned down a side road. I glanced behind me and saw the car stop, the road to small for it to fit down. I smirked and looked ahead as I neared the end of the road.

Suddenly a black car pulled stopped at the end of the road and I gasped as I slammed on the breaks and skidded to a halt, but the momentum tipped the bike and sent me tumbling the ground.

I groaned as I rolled over and I looked up, waiting for the world to stop spinning. I gained focus as a figure stood over me and I sighed when I saw who it was.

"You don't look pleased to see me," Jasper said and I rolled my shoulders back as I sat up.

"I wouldn't take it personally," I grunted and before Jasper could blink I had grabbed my knife from my boot and was holding it to his throat. "Wouldn't take this personally either," I said as I slowly stood. "Don't try anything, you know I'll use this."

"Surprisingly, that's one of the reasons why we're interested in you, Daisy," Jasper said and I shoved him up against the wall.

"Are you alone?" I demanded.

"Not for long."

"Lets move," I ordered.

"We won't make it far. You'll be found."

"Lets see how it goes," I said, but before I could move I heard a very distinctive click.

"Step away," a familiar voice called. "Put your hands in the air."

"You won't shoot," I said. "You haven't gone through all this just to kill me."

"You're right in the open. I can get a clean shot. You'll live."

I sighed and stepped back, slowly lifting my arms. Jasper immediately grabbed the knife and I turned round to see Kyle lowering his gun.

"How did you find me?"

"We have eyes everywhere," Jasper said and kicked my feet apart as he patted me down. He found the knife in my jacket and yanked my bag off my shoulders. "You're a flight risk. It crossed our minds that you might try running."

"Great," I sighed.

"Get in the car, Daisy," Jasper ordered and I gritted my teeth but walked over to the car.

I rubbed my shoulder when I was in the car and winced. "You seem to love hurting me."

"You seem to be used to it," Jasper said as he sat next to me and Kyle got in the drivers seat. "I'm still interested in how you got the scar on your thigh."

"I think it's pretty obvious how I got it," I muttered.

"Why? Why did you get stabbed?" Jasper asked.

"That's none of your business," I snapped and crossed my arms over my chest.

Jasper gave me a look. "We can find out everything about you, Daisy, you might as well just tell us and save us the trouble."

"Why make things easy for you?" I shrugged.

"Why do you have to be so difficult all the time?" Kyle snapped as he started the car.

"Try living my fucking life and then see if your personality is happy and bubbly," I said coldly. "You have no fucking clue about all the shit I've had to go through, so don't fucking judge me."

Kyle caught my eye in the reflection of the wind mirror and he frowned before quickly looking away and reversing the car.

"What was your life like growing up?" Jasper asked.

"Suffocating," I said immediately.

"Thats an interesting choice of words."

"I never had a choice in what I did," I said.

"You don't seem like the sort of person who listens to what people tell them," Jasper said.

"I'm not," I said, "which made life a lot harder for me."

"It still does."

I shrugged my shoulders. "Makes life harder for you as well."

"Which is highly annoying," Jasper said.

I smiled. "Good."

I sighed when we pulled up outside Jasper's house and I was escorted inside and left by myself in the lounge. The door was locked behind me and the windows wouldn't open.

I walked over to the fireplace and picked up a heavy looking ornament and raised my eyebrows, looking between it and the window. I tested the weight of it in my hands, but before I could do something stupid like throw the ornament through the window, my eyes landed on something else.

I set the ornament down and walked over to a shelf up on the wall. I picked up a picture frame and frowned. Richard was younger, and holding two babies, no older than a year old. They both had little tufts of silver hair.

"Like it?"

I placed the picture back and turned round to see Richard. He was dressed casually in chinos and a tshirt.

"Jasper was 9 months old when we took that picture."

"How heartwarming," I said dryly. "You have a daughter?"

A look crossed Richards face and his eyes flickered to the photo behind me. "Yes," he said curtly and sat down on the couch. "Take a seat, Daisy."

I raised an eyebrow at Richard and sat down on the opposite side of the room, crossing my arms over my chest. "What do you want? Because I was quite looking forward to running away."

"Why did you run?"

"You came across as someone with at least a small amount of intellect, do you really need to ask me that question, Richard?" I said.

"Daisy, you've had a rough life, I know that-"

"And I know that too, you don't need to remind me."

"I want to offer you a way out."

"Unless they come in the form of little white pills then I'm good," I said sarcastically, but judging by Richard's look it didn't seem like he believed my sarcasm.

Part of me wasn't sure whether I did either.

"I want you to work for my company."

"I'm good."

"Daisy, this will be good for you."

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "What do you know about what would be good for me?"

"You need something like this in your life. Some stability. Some structure. Help."

"Do I?"

"Yes."

"Well I'm not interested," I shrugged. "Can I go now?"

"No."

"Look, I don't want to work for you, what else do you want from me?"

"You will work for me."

"No!" I said, raising my voice. "My whole life people have told me what I can and can't do and I bloody fed up with it! I'm going home, you're either going to let me past or I will fucking punch you."

"I'll take that as an answer, for now," Richard said and I walked towards the door.

"Good."

"Wait," Richard said and I stiffened when he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"What?" I snapped and I jumped back when I felt a prick in my arm. "What the hell!"

"We'll speak again soon, Daisy."

My head was on fire when I awoke and I was aching all over. I groaned and rolled over in my bed.

My bed.

"Shit," I cursed and forced myself into a sitting position. "What the fuck happened?"

I stumbled out of bed and rubbed my eyes. I made it to my window and saw it was still daylight. I looked across the road and saw Jasper and his friends outside their house fixing their motorbikes.

Jasper glanced up and raised his eyebrows at me, wiggling his fingers and smirking.

"Ass," I growled.

They drugged me again.

"Why?" I whispered and I frowned. I raised my hand to my jaw and winced when it was tender.

Another bug.

"Shit," I swore and I looked out the window again when the cars pulled up to the house and everyone arrived home from school.

About 10 minutes later Blake and Eli walked into my room.

"You tried to leave," Blake said.

"No," I lied.

"You tried to do another fucking runner, princess," Eli snapped. "Why did you even attempt to, you know it's pointless."

"No harm comes from trying," I shrugged. "How did you even know?"

"There's a security camera outside the house," Blake said and hit the back of my head. "Smartass."

"Shut up, you dick," I growled and shoved him away from me.

"Why dyou come back?" Eli asked, eyeing me carefully.

"Like you said, it's pointless to run," I muttered.

Eli frowned and I grabbed my phone, opening my notes and typing a message.

'Jasper got to me. They might have bugged me. Again.'

Eli narrowed his eyes and Blake snatched the phone from his hands, glaring when they read it.

'Take it out!' I typed.

Blake and Eli looked at each other and shook their heads and Eli took my phone.

'Tooth bugs can be pretty faulty. They might have assumed it fell out when it stopped working before, but it falling out twice is suspiciois. We can't risk them suspecting us. The bug stays in.'

I grabbed my phone back and typed one word. 'Twat.'

"I need to talk to Jack," Blake said and left the room.

With a loud sigh I sat back down on my bed and ran my fingers through my hair.

"You lied to me," Eli said.

"Boohoo."

"Daisy-"

"No, Eli, I'm in a mood and I'm fed up so don't bitch to me!" I scowled.

"You look like shit," he said.

"Thanks," I growled.

"Why did you think you could leave, princess?" Eli asked and took a seat beside me on my bed. Our legs were touching and Eli's hand was resting on his knee, his fingers grazing my leg.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at my wrist. "I don't know," I lied. "I just want out."

Eli glanced at me and pursed his lips. "You're not the only one."

I snapped my head to him and raised my eyebrows. "What?"

Eli arched an eyebrow and stood up. "Goodbye, Daisy."

"Wait, Eli, what do you mean!" I called and Eli glanced over his shoulder as he reached the door.

"I'll tell you another time, princess."

I sighed when he walked out and laid down on my bed.

Did Eli mean he wanted out of the Agency?
