"Out," Eli said and yanked the car door open, pulling my handcuffed arms as well.

"Fucking hell," I muttered and stumbled out of the car. I waited for Eli to unlock the cuffs and as soon as my hands were free I stormed off towards the Agency.

I gritted my teeth when Eli caught up to me. "Piss off."

"I've got to make sure you actually go to your counselling," Eli said.

"Why do you care what I do?" I snapped.

Eli didn't answer.

We walked through the Agency doors and there was silence between us as we walked towards James office. I reached for the door handle, but I was suddenly yanked backwards, ending up surprisingly close to Eli.

"What?" I snapped.

"Don't walk out this time," Eli said lowly. His minty breath hit my forehead and he pursed his lips. "I'll meet you in the car park."

"Whatever," I scowled and pulled my arm from Eli's grasp and walked into James office.

"Ah, Daisy," James called, smiling when he saw me.

Why the hell would he be happy to see me?

"I'm not in the fucking mood today, Dr Hayfield, so don't piss me off," I warned as I slammed the door behind me and stalked towards the sofa.

"Rough day?" James wondered, swivelling round in his chair to face me as I sat down.

"None of your business."

"Daisy, the main reason you are seeing me is because of your last mission and how it affected you, but I'm also here to help you in other aspects. Any problems or issues you are having I can help you with," James said softly and got his notepad ready.

"Can you get me out of the Agency?" I asked and scoffed when James didn't reply. "That's my problem and you can't help me."

"Last session you left early," James said.

"Really?" I said sarcastically.

"You got angry quite quickly," James commented. "I am aware that you have a history of violent and angry outbursts."

"A history?" I repeated.

"You get angry easily, Daisy. Why is that?"

"Stupid people say and do stupid things and it highly irritates me," I said.

"So it's not you? It's everyone around you?" James wondered.

"Correct."

"So you're saying that it's everyone else's fault that you get angry so easily and not your own?"

"I don't get angry so easily," I snapped. "And don't put words in my mouth."

"Daisy, it won't do any good to lie to yourself," James said. "You have a temper. You get angry and irritated easily and you can't control it."

I stared blankly at James. I didn't deny it.

"I will show you some breathing techniques that you can try when you get irritated. They should calm you," James said and I scoffed.

"You'd be wasting your breath," I said.

James just smiled. "So, Daisy, why were you angry when you entered my office."

"None of your business."

"I hear you have been placed on a recruitment mission, is it something to do with that?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

"What's it like being back at school, Daisy?" James wondered and I suddenly stood up.

I walked over to James and took the notepad out of his hands and threw it in the bin. "If you want me to talk them you are not writing anything down," I said and walked back over to the sofa.

James nodded and stood up from his chair and came and sat next to me. "Just talking then," he smiled. "So, being back at school?"

"What's talking about school got to do with anything?" I asked.

"Nothing," James shrugged. "But talking helps people relax and calm down. I'm here to talk about whatever you want. Any issues you're having you can talk to me about. Everything said in this room is confidential, Daisy. Say whatever you want, no one will judge you."

"I don't like you," I said immediately and James smirked.

"I figured as much when you told me to go suffocate myself," he said and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"School is shit," I said and sighed. "Everyone is immature and stupid."

"Everyone?" James asked.

"Okay, not everyone. The majority."

"Tell me about the people you have met there," James suggested.

"This girl tried to slap me," I shrugged.

"And what did you do?" James asked.

"I stopped her. Then Eli stopped me," I muttered.

"Eli," James nodded. "You're not very keen on him are you?"

"How did you-"

"Your expression gives it all away," James smiled. "What's up between you two?"

"He's a cunt," I said. "He does everything in his power to piss me off."

"Do you know why?"

"He claims I'm easy to wind up and enjoys seeing me pissed off," I snapped.

"I can't argue with the first part," James said. "You have a short fuse, Daisy."

"So?" I shrugged. "Doesn't give him the excuse to be a tit constantly."

"How do you act back?"

"I just sit there and take everything he throws at me with a sweet smile on my face," I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. "How the hell do you think I act?"

"Does Eli always make you this angry?" James asked.

"This isn't angry," I muttered.

"Annoyed then."

"Yes. Always."

"Do you always retaliate with him?"

I nodded. "He's just so infuriating!"

"Maybe you should try to ignore him-"

"And let him get away with-"

"Daisy, listen to me," James said. "People annoy others to see their reaction. When Eli see's that he is getting to you he's only going to continue. When he next does something that makes you angry, just ignore him. If he sees that he's not getting to you then he will stop."

"I doubt it," I scoffed.

"Just try," James smiled and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Whatever."

"How is your leg?" James asked.

"As good as a stabbed leg can be," I said.

"I assume you are going to start training again once it has healed?"

"I assume that I'm going to be made to start training once it has healed," I sighed.

"How do you feel about that?"

"About what? Having no control over what I do? Being made to do things for the Agency that I ran away from? Having no choice because people think they know what's right and don't consider what I want?" I questioned and crossed my arms over my chest. "Dr Hayfield, how do you think I feel about that?"

"You feel angry, trapped," James murmured. "How would you feel if I talked to Rob to see if you would be allowed some more freedom."

I shrugged my shoulders. "I wouldn't hate it if you did," I muttered.

James smiled. "I can talk to him and hopefully we can come to some sort of arrangement. You have to promise not to run, however."

I sighed and raised my wrist. "I have a tracker. Even if I wanted to run I can't."

"I wasn't aware of this," James said.

"It's the only reason I haven't run," I admitted. "It would be easy to get out of the house, I could've done it at night. As soon as I step foot out of this house that tracker will be transmitting my location directly to my father."

James took my wrist in his hands and gently ran his finger along where the tracker was injected into my wrist. "I wasn't aware that these were active yet," he said. "Untraceable, impossible to remove, you must be one of the first to have one of these in you."

"I'm flattered," I scoffed and pulled my arm from his grasp. "So this is going to be in me for the rest of my life?"

"As far as I am aware, these were designed to be injected into the skin and it moulds to the tissue in your arm. So to answer your question, yes."

"Fantastic," I mumbled and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Daisy, how would you feel if we were to talk about your past mission?" James asked me cautiously.

"We aren't talking about it," I said firmly.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want too," I snapped.

"And why is that?" James questioned.

I looked away from James and didn't reply.

"Daisy-"

"Do not bug me about it. I don't want to talk about it with you, okay?" I said. "Mention one more word about it and I will walk out again."

James let out a long breath. "I think we're done for the day, Daisy."

"Great," I nodded and immediately stood up.

"See you next week!" James called, but I was out of the door before I could reply.

"How was the shrink?" Eli asked on the way home.

I ignored him.

"Silent treatment," he scoffed. "Is that what your doctor told you to do? Since when did you listen to people, Daisy? You're going soft."

"Shut your trap!" I snapped and Eli smirked.

"You can try as hard as you want to ignore me, but you will always fail," Eli concluded.

"And why is that?"

"It's true you anger easily, but you also never back down," Eli observed. "It would kill you inside to see me get the last word in. To see me win."

"The whole world doesn't revolve around you, Eli," I growled. "Contradictory to your conceited beliefs."

"Conceited?" Eli scoffed. "Have you seen yourself?"

"I am not conceited!" I gasped.

"More so than me," Eli shrugged.

"Oh, give over," I snapped and turned the radio volume up high so it drowned out Eli's annoying voice.

I didn't expect my day to get any shittier, so when I saw Adam sitting on the sofa when I walked into the house I was not happy.

"Daisy," he said and his tone turned icy when he looked at Eli. "Eli."

"Brother," I said and crossed my arms over my chest. "What are you doing here?"

"Don't worry, I don't need you," Adam shrugged.

"Yay," I cheered and walked over to the stairs.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Eli wondered, his voice hard and cold.

"Noah," Adam said. "He's an ideal recruit. Get to know him more, find out everything you can about him. We need to be sure about him before to take him."

Eli nodded stiffly and I made my way up the stairs and into my room, letting them two talk about the mission.

Maybe there was a way I could sabotage Noah's recruitment. Nothing would annoy Eli more than messing with his mission.
