Magnus wiped his brow and glanced up at the sun. It had to be at the very least 104 degrees and rising. He pushed his normally perky hair back from his face and twisted it up in a tiny bun. He took a deep breath and another swig of his water.

"Why are you making me do this again?" Magnus asked Alec who was still walking with a pep in his step. Stupid stamina rune! Sure Magnus enjoyed at home but here was not the place.

"Because the view is incredible." Alec grinned down at him. He even had the gall to jog back down to Magnus.

"Is that it? I can portal us up there." Magnus flourished his hand but Alec grabbed it to stop him.

"Ah ah ah." Alec wiggled his finger at Magnus in a way that he usually found endearing but right now he considered snapping it. But he finally decided that he'd regret it later so he let his boyfriend continue.

"Why not. It's just so damn hot. I think I'm actually melting." Magnus pouted.

"I am hot, aren't I?" Alec laughed.

"I hate you." Magnus glared but couldn't hold it when Alec batted his sweet, blue eyes at him.

"Ready to continue?" Alec asked.

Nooooo! Fucking no! Magnus answered in his head while nodding. "Yes, my darling."

Alec gave him a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry my shiny warlock, we're almost there."

Alec kept his hand in Magnus's and started to walk again. Magnus pulled his hand away which hurt Alec's feeling so he glanced over at his boyfriend. Was Magnus really upset?

"Alexander, I, an immortal, am dying from this heat. I would love to hold your hand but right now it feels like touching a frying pan." Magnus explained knowing that Alec was too shy to ask why he let go.

"Oh sorry." Alec shrugged.

"You should be, you're the only reason I'm out here." Magnus said then smiled. "But for you I'd even consider going on this hike again."

"Really? We could make it a monthly thing." Alec leapt at the idea.

"Woah, buddy. I said I'd consider it, let's just finish this one first." Magnus held his hands up.

"Okay, deal." Alec looked almost too excited for Magnus's taste. It was like he knew Magnus would do anything for him, with anyone else Magnus would be worried, but he trusted Alec or at least he had until he came up with this horrible idea.

"How much longer do we have anyway?" Magnus shaded his eyes and looked up at the peak.

"Only about 2 hours." Alec beamed.

Magnus dropped to the ground. "2 hours? 2 hours?! How is that even possible?!"

"Magnus," Alec chuckled, "we've only been walking for about 45 minutes."

A/N Hey! Sorry that it's been a while I had to deal with some family stuff and had work. But to make up for it I'll do another update tonight. In the comments vote on either sappy, funny, scary, or sad for the overall feel for the next oneshot.
