A/N I got a lot of requests to continue this story so here's another chapter for it. Let me know in the comments if you want more of this one before I move to the next idea. I know in the future I will do a multi-part with Magnus, Alec, and their kids but I can wait a bit if you want more of this one. 

"I'm so happy to be home!" Magnus did a little twirl with his arms out and Alec grinned. 

"Me too." Alec set the takeout they had picked up on the way home on the table. "Ready to eat or do you need to rest first?" 

"I'm starving." Magnus kissed Alec's cheek and whispered, "and not just for kung pao chicken."

"Magnus," Alec scolded as he blushed, "you need to get some food in you. You're still weak."

Magnus pouted and sat down. "I know, but that doesn't mean I can't still have some fun."

"Yes, but after you eat." Alec grabbed them plates and dished up their food. "And I want to see you eat all of that, no just pushing it around like you did at the institute."

"Yes, Mommy." Magnus teased and picked up a set of chopsticks. He plopped a piece of chicken in his mouth and gave Alec a goofy grin.

Alec patted his head. "Now that's my good boy."

"You better stop that or I might have to show you just how good I really am." Magnus winked and Alec blushed. Magnus loved that he could still make his boyfriend blush but he was right; Magnus was still weak. 

"Eat." Alec chuckled and took a bite himself. 

"Hey, Magnus?" Alec asked after a short silence.

"Yes?" Magnus prompted him. He knew from the look Alec gave him that it was something serious.

"What do you remember from when you were in the coma?" Alec asked then looked at him. Their eyes met and there was a spark. 

Magnus shook his head. "Nothing really."

"Oh." Alec was disappointed. He wanted to ask him about what he had said and done inside his head. There was a reason that Magnus wanted to stay there; did he know something bad was coming? Had he been trying to protect them both?

"You don't remember anything?" Alec asked again and watched Magnus to see if he was telling the truth.

You mean do I remember how you touched Jace and how you wouldn't let us stay in that perfect place with just the two of us? Magnus thought then shook his head again. "No."

Alec wasn't sure about this response. Magnus could tell that Alec didn't believe him so he looked down at his toes and fingers. "Oh my, look at how horrible this paint looks. I've got to fix it immediately."

"Do you want some help?" Alec offered. 

"Thank you Alexander, but I can manage on my own." Magnus said and saw the frown in Alec's eyes. "But, I would love some company. You can even pick some music maybe."

"I have the perfect song!" Alec jumped up and went to their bedroom where he had hidden the guitar he had been practicing on for the past couple months. It was going to be an anniversary present but he decided now would be better. 

Magnus walked into the bathroom that connected to their bedroom but couldn't see Alec from where he was. Magnus picked out a glittery purple nail polish and sat down so he could start painting. Then he heard a song start and instantly loved it. It didn't sound perfect but he knew that he'd need to get it from Alec.

"You sit in the bathroom and you paint your toes
I sit on the bed right now and I sing you a song
It's not always easy, but somehow our love stays strong
If I can make you happy, then this is where I belong." Alec started a bit shaky but then caught his groove.

"And I'd just like to say
I thank God that you're here with me
And I know you too well to say you're perfect
But you'll see, oh my sweet love, you're perfect for me" Alec sang and strummed along. 

"Alexander, what song is this?" Magnus called out.

Alec froze. What if Magnus didn't like it? "Um, Perfect For Me."

"I love it!" Magnus exclaimed. "You can unpause it."

He thought it was a recording! Alec beamed as he continued. 

"I know all your secrets, and you know all of mine
You're always there to hold me up when I'm losing my mind
I wish that I was stronger so that I had more to give
I'll share everything I have and we'll find a way to live..."

Magnus started to hum along with it then something caught his attention. He heard a wrong note played, Alec cleared his throat and the music stopped for a second before continuing. It was Alec! He could sing? Magnus got up and walked to the doorway so he could see Alec. 

Alec blushed but continued. "Even after all this time, nothing else I ever find
In this whole wide world can shake me like you do
It's true that something so sublime that there aren't words yet to describe
The beauty of this life I've made with you

And I'd just like to say
I thank God that you're here with me

Magnus rushed to Alec and engulfed him in a hug. "That was beautiful, Alexander. Thank you."

"You liked it?" Alec asked feeling self-conscious.

"Liked it?" Magnus pulled back and cupped Alec's face in his hands. "I loved it. No one has ever done that for me before, anything like that. You truly are perfect." 

Magnus kissed Alec, hard and full of love. Alec set the guitar down next to them and wrapped his arms around Magnus. He kissed him back and ran his fingers under Magnus's shirt.
