Take a deep breath and we'll get through this together, okay?

"Magnus, please tell me you have an idea." Jace grabbed his shoulder so Magnus would look at him. He had been staring out the window while holding a book for the over an hour. Simon and Clary had taken that time to calm Izzy down.

"She's asleep." Simon said in a quiet voice. "Clary's going to stay with her and Madzie is sleeping on the couch in the room. If she wakes up Clary will take care of her. Any news?"

"He hasn't moved or said a thing." Jace peeled his eyes off Magnus to look at Simon. He loomed exhausted. It had been over 12 hours since Alec died and none of them had rested.

"Why don't you go lay down?" Simon squeezed Jace's shoulder. "I can stay with him."

Jace covered his friend's hand with his own. "You, go ahead. I wouldn't be able to sleep right now."

"Does it still hurt?" Simon gave him a sympathetic frown.

"Half of me is dead Simon; I don't think it'll ever stop hurting." Jace felt a frog in his throat and he had to bite his tongue to keep from crying again. He had never even considered that Alec would die before him and yet here he was.

"I'm so sorry." Simon whispered. "I can stay with you."

"No, go get some rest. I'll wake you up if anything changes." Jace responded.

"I will, but promise you'll get me if you need anything."

"I promise. Even if I need to pee." Jace smiled weakly.

"Well, not anything but anything to do with this." Simon chuckled dryly, not because it was funny; because he didn't know what else to do.

"Okay." Jace nodded and Simon walked badj down the hall to the guest room.

"Magnus, please talk to me." Jace pleaded.

"Kiss." Magnus blurted out.

"What?" Jace's eyebrows shot up.

"Alec told you to give me a kiss for him." Magnus turned around, slamming the book shut.

"I'm not kissing you." Jace held his hands out.

"Alec would never tell you to unless there was a reason." Magnus got up from where he was sitting and walked towards Jace.

"Magnus, it's just something people say. He didn't mean for me to literally kiss you."

"I think he did."

"I think you're upset which is understandable, but you're reading too much into this." Jace took a step back.

"Jace, please. It was his dying request." Magnus gave Jace a desperate look.

"Man, no. It's not happening. Simon can kiss you if that's what you want."

"He told you to."

"By the angel, Magnus! This is crazy!" Jace whisper shouted.

"We're friends aren't we?"

"We're not kissing friends."

"Jace, what if it was a clue? Please, do it, if nothing happens then we know but what if it helps bring him back?"

"How could me kissing you possibly help bring him back?"

"Listen to me, Alec had plenty of time to prepare. Do this one thing and I can promise you that the next 10 times you call because a duck is near you I'll come help you."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Jace lifted his nose in the air.

"Fine for your entire life."

"Deal."

"Thank you." Magnus stepped closer.

"I don't have to use tongue or anything, do I?

"I'd prefer you didn't."

"Okay, here goes."

Jace closed his eyes and leaned forward. Magnus could feel his breath on him and he pretended that it was Alec's. Jace's lips touched Magnus's.

"What the fuck?" Alec shouted, standing next to his boyfriend who was currently kissing his best friend.

"Alec?" Jace exclaimed.

"Alexander!" Magnus shoved Jace away so hard that he fell flat on his back. "You're okay!"

"You kissed Jace." Alec said blankly as Magnus kissed him then wrapped his arms around him.

"Oh that? It was to bring you back. I got your clue." Magnus kissed his cheek again. "And it worked."

"What in the hell are you talking about? What clue?" Alec finally asked after realizing that Magnus wasn't going to elaborate and Jace looked like he had fainted.

"Your letter. You told Jace give me a kiss for you." Magnus explained.

"And you think that's how I'm back?" Alec cocked an eyebrow at his boyfriend.

"Isn't it?" Magnus asked.

"No." Alec started to laugh. "You actually thought that was something? It was just a thing I thought people said."

"Then why did I let Blondie here kiss me?" Magnus wiped at his mouth and looked pale.

"Beats me." Alec shrugged.

"If it wasn't that, then how are you alive? It is real, right? I didn't catch some disease that's making me hallucinate or something right?" Magnus eyed Jace.

"It's real. I'm alive and that's not all. I'm well, immortal." Alec looked at Magnus deeply.

"What? How is that possible?"

"I made a deal."

"What kind of deal? With who?" Magnus touched Alec's cheek.

"Raziel."

"The angel?" Magnus asked.

"Yes."

"What do you have to do? What did you promise him?"

"It's complicated."

"Tell me, I can help you. We're in this together. I don't care what we have to do as long as I get you."

"I'm glad you said that because I'll need your help."

"What is it?" Magnus was almost hysterical.

"You know Madzie? The little warlock girl?" Alec said.

"What about her? Do we have to," Magnus ran his finger across his throat.

"What?" Alec grabbed Magnus's hand. "No, I would never agree to that. We, well I hope you'll join me. Um, I'm going to adopt her. I promised Raziel that I would raise her as my own. She's vey powerful and they're worried what she would do if she got I the wrong hands. Magnus, say something please."

Magnus grabbed Alec tightly and kissed him hard. He pulled back and rested his forehead against Alec's. "I'm in. Alexander, I love you. We're going to be a family; a real family."

"Yes, we will." Alec kissed Magnus again but then cringed. "You need to wash your mouth, you taste like Jace."

"How would you know what he tastes like?" Magnus asked.

"Doesn't matter. Wash your mouth and I'll make sure my poor brother isn't dead." Alec kicked Jace's boot.

"Alec?" Izzy leapt into his arms and kissed his cheek. "You're alive! Don't you ever do that again," she slapped him across the face.

"Never again." Alec promised, looking into Magnus's eyes so he knew the promise was for him too.

"What's wrong with Jace?" Izzy asked.

"Oh, just a little shock to the system. He'll be fine." Alec laughed.

A/N see? Happy! It's all okay! I promised it would be. I'm seriously too much of a sap. I was going to have it go a little longer but I couldn't take anymore. Anything you want to see in the cute fluffy one that's next?
