"Jace, you can stay here tonight, but my parents get home tomorrow and they'll know that you were out drinking last night," Alec told his best friend as he helped him get inside.

"How was the party, big brother?" Izzy asked as they stumbled inside. It didn't help that Alec was clumsy on his own, let alone a still drunk Jace pulling him down.

"I only went to pick up Jace," Alec grumbled and rolled his eyes.

"But, you've been gone for over an hour. You said that you were going." Iz gave him a confused look.

"Oh, that? No, I told you that I'd end up going. I knew this idiot friend of mine would do something stupid and I'd get dragged there." Alec helped Jace sit on the couch.

"I'm not an idiot. I'm just in love." Jace slurred before falling over on the couch and passing out.

"Clary still pissed?" Izzy asked with a smirk.

"Yeah," Alec nodded. "Simon probably told you, right?"

"He also told me about you and Magnus." She cocked an eyebrow at her brother.

"What do you mean?" Alec asked with a blank expression.

"Glitter freak? Really?" She patted Alec on the chest. "When are you two going to get over this stupid fight of yours?"

"It wasn't just a stupid fight, Izzy." Alec shook his head and looked behind Izzy. "Where is Simon anyway?"

"In the bathroom." Izzy motioned with her thumb down the hallway. "And don't try to change the subject. Do you even remember what the fight was about?"

"Does it matter?" Alec shrugged. "It's been years."

"Exactly! You two were so close. I even-" she clamped her mouth shut.

Alec cocked an eyebrow at her. "You even what?"

"Well, okay. Don't get mad. Promise?" Izzy said.

"That depends on what you say," Alec said. with his eyebrows raised.

"Fine." Izzy leaned in and whispered. "I kind of thought that you two liked each other."

"What?" Alec choked.

"I know," Izzy put her hands up. "It was a crazy idea. I can see that now."

"Yeah, good, because that would never happen," Alec demanded.

"Ready to go?" Simon interrupted what Izzy was going to say by strutting towards them.

"Yes!" Izzy smiled at him.

"Alec, are you coming?" Simon asked him.

"I'd love to but I don't want to," Alec stated.

"Alec." Izzy chided. "Simon, he needs to keep an eye on Jace anyway."

"Yeah, he didn't take Clary's blow off very well." Simon looked at their friend who was currently snoring face down on the leather couch. There was a small puddle of drool already spreading.

"Actually, before you go, do you think you can help me get him to the guest room?" Alec asked Simon.

"Sure," Simon walked over to him and they each took an arm. They dragged him down the hall thankful that the room was on the main floor. "Think he'll be ready for the game tomorrow?"

"He better be or I'll kick his ass." Alec laughed. "It's our last game before the end of the season."

"Yeah, I know. It's crazy. Can you believe we only have 3 weeks left of school?" Simon asked as they left the room, closing the door behind them.

"I know. I can't wait to get away from this place." Alec confided.

"Oh yeah, you're going to California or something right?" Simon asked.

"Yeah." Alec nodded.

"Isn't Magnus going there too?" Simon asked.

"How the hell would I know, Lewis?" Alec gave him a pointed look.

"Right," Simon ran his fingers through his hair awkwardly. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, and Simon?" Alec's voice stopped Simon in his tracks.

"Yes?" Simon asked in barely a whisper.

Alec stepped forward and grabbed Simon by the shirt. He twisted it slightly in his fist. "If you hurt my sister I'll kill you."

"Okay," Simon nodded, smiling awkwardly, and pulled away. "Have a good night."

"You too!" Alec smiled and waved at Izzy and Simon as they left.

"You looked hot when you were threatening him." A voice said as two arms wrapped around Alec's waist.

Alec smiled and turned in the arms that were holding him tightly. "Well, hello there my glitter freak." Alec whispered and kissed Magnus on the lips.

Magnus smiled against his lips. "Where did you even come up with that one?" Magnus chuckled.

"I have no idea." Alec shook his head. "I panicked and it just popped out.

"Well, I am a freak for glitter, but I do prefer when you call me a drama queen." Magnus purred into Alec's ear and lightly nibbled on his earlobe.

Alec moaned then sighed. He gently pushed Magnus back. "Jace is asleep down here. Why don't we go back to our place?"

"You mean back to where we were celebrating our fourth anniversary?" Magnus cocked an eyebrow at him.

"I'm so sorry that I had to leave." Alec apologized with a frown. "You know I hate this sneaking around, don't you?"

"I do too, but we only need to wait 4 more weeks and we'll be in California." Magnus took his boyfriend's hands in his own. "I can't wait to be out in the open with you."

"Me too." Alec smiled and kissed Magnus again, but this time he didn't want to stop. He pushed Magnus against the wall and moved his hands up to Magnus's hair. He loved the how soft Magnus's hair felt between his fingers. Magnus ran his fingers over Alec's back as he opened his mouth granting Alec more access.

"Alec?" Jace's gruff voice broke through the haze and they jumped apart.

"Yeah?" Alec said, slightly out of breath.

"I need water," Jace called from the room. He hadn't seen them. They were okay.

"One second." Alec gave Magnus's shoulder a light squeeze. "I'll meet you in a couple minutes."

"Promise?" Magnus smiled and reached forward to play with the little plastic ring that Alec still wore around his neck.

"I promise." Alec gave him another quick peck on the lips. "Oh, and Magnus?"

"Yes, darling?" Magnus turned back to look at Alec.

"Do you remember what our fake fight was about?" Alec asked.

Magnus rubbed his chin as he thought. "I'm sure it was something that you did." He finally shrugged.

"Probably." Alec chuckled then looked serious. "Do you ever regret it?"

"That we've had to lie and act like we hate each other? Sure," Magnus walked back over and lifted Alec's chin with his finger, "but, I don't regret that it has given us a way to be together. We both know your parents would not have been okay with this. Hell, they weren't even liking that we were friends let alone that you wanted to fuck a fairy."

"Hey," Alec frowned and gripped Magnus's shoulders tightly. "Don't say that about yourself. You're a Fairy Queen at least."

Magnus smiled. "Damn straight."

"Straight?" Alec teased.

"You know what I mean." Magnus rolled his eyes. "And to think I was going to say I love you."

"I love you, too." Alec looked at him hard.

"Alec!" Jace shouted again.

"Shit." Alec stepped back. "I better go help him out."

"Hurry, Alexander." Magnus ran his finger over Alec's chest. "You still owe me for running off earlier."
