Oh My Gosh! It's at #33! Thank you all so much! Like seriously you are so amazing!

Answer: I like when he's with Jace and Clary and he's like "Forget I asked!" But also, I love when he dances with Dot and everything else!

"Mags, what are we wearing? We only have ten minutes before we have to go." Alec yelled from Magnus's bed where he was laid out playing a video game.

"Sorry that I had to do all of the work." Magnus sang through the door from the hallway.

"I still don't understand why you have to get changed out there in the hall." Alec teased and turned off the video game. He had died 5 times in the last twenty minutes because he kept getting distracted by Magnus so he finally decided to give up.

He couldn't exactly pick one moment where their relationship had changed but over time they became more like cautious strangers rather than best friends. Magnus never changed in front of him and it bothered him and not just because he missed seeing him. It was that it felt like a secret. He knew Magnus didn't care about him seeing, it was something else but Magnus never talked about it. Magnus never talked about anything anymore.

"Ready?" Magnus asked through the door.

"Do you have to ask?" Alec rolled his eyes but smiled. Magnus was always into showmanship.

Magnus flung the door open and did a spin. "What do you think?"

"That's a lot of glitter." Alec said.

"Yes, and look you get a matching one." Magnus pushed it into Alec's face and glitter covered him.

"Mag!" Alec shouted and jumped up. "I'm covered in glitter."

"You look good with a little sparkle." Magnus winked. "Now hurry and get dressed. You're holding us up." Magnus clapped his hands to hurry Alec up.

"Yeah, I'm holding us up." Alec chuckled. This was more like Magnus. He finally had him back, but that night he lost him forever.

----------

"What was that all about?" Jace asked him nodding back to Magnus. Alec forced the memory away and focused on Jace.

"Oh, we ran into each other." Alec brushed his fingers through his hair that his mom kept telling him was getting too long.

"Yeah, well it looks like you two made out. You're covered in that sparkly shit."

"Ugh, I know." Alec tried again to wipe it away. "Cover for me. I'm going to see if I have an extra shirt in my locker."

"You can steal one from mine." Jace offered.

"Okay, thanks." Alec walked back down the hall and turned the corner only to see Magnus there, leaning against the wall with one boot up against the wall. Alec had wondered what happened to his boots. Leave it to Magnus to take his tough, work boots and make them a glittery fashion statement. A year ago they would have laughed over that but now he was just pissed off.

"Here." Magnus shoved a plain black shirt into Alec's hand.

"I'm fine. I can get my own shirt." Alec shoved the shirt back at Magnus.

"It is yours." Magnus said then smirked.

"What? How?"

"Please. Do you really think your locker is secure?" Magnus cocked his brow and Alec's eyes were drawn to the purple ring in it and Magnus noticed. "Want to see my other piercings?"

"Wha-No." Alec shook his head.

--------

"I got my eyebrow pierced," Magnus said through the phone.

"No way! You were talking about doing it but I didn't think you'd actually do it." Alec laughed. "Did it hurt?"

"Not as bad as I thought it would." Magnus admitted. "Want to see it?"

"Hell yes." Alec stepped out his window onto the roof and walked carefully to the edge so he could see to Magnus's room. But to his surprise, Magnus's light was off. "Where are you?"

"Come on, that's too far and you know it." Magnus whispered so Alec wouldn't hear him behind him on the roof. "Turn around."

Alec turned and saw Magnus just as he stumbled off the roof. He landed in a bush but it didn't help break his fall much. Magnus was laughing so hard that he almost fell off too. Thankfully he caught himself and shimmied down the rain gutter.

"You're a dick." Alec groaned with a smile on his face.

"You've really got to work on your landings, Alexander." Magnus kneeled next to him. "I mean, it's one thing to be clumsy but you're going to end up killing yourself one day."

"Because of you!" Alec shouted then covered his mouth because it was three in the morning and he was supposed to be asleep.

"What do you think of the piercing?" Magnus beamed down at him.

"It looks badass." Alec reached up and touched it.

Magnus cocked his eyebrow at him and Alec laughed. "Want to see my other piercings?"

Alec blushed then got up. "I better get back upstairs."

"I have the ladder against the back. Use it and I'll put it away." Magnus smiled.

"Thanks. Night." Alec waved and tripped over the water hose.

"For the love of all things, Alexander, be careful." Magnus laughed.

-----------

"Oh, right. You're the perfect, straight Jock." Magnus waved his hand. "What do you think would happen if your friends knew the truth?"

"And what's that?" Alec asked him and he yanked off his ruined shirt but only after making sure that it was only him and Magnus even though he kept the gray long sleeved undershirt on.

"That you're nowhere near perfect." There was venom attached to Magnus's words but inside Magnus was already regretting what he had said. He was going to apoligize but Alec stopped him.

Alec didn't think, he just reached forward and punched Magnus right in the nose.

"Son of a bitch!" Magnus grabbed his nose then let go and laughed. "That almost hurt. Careful or one day you'll give Simon's little sister a run for her money."

"Damn it, Magnus, I wish I had-" Alec started to say then stopped himself. Magnus wasn't worth his breath. He tugged his clean shirt on and turned around.

"You wish what, Lightwood?" Magnus called after him. "That you had the balls to tell the truth?"

"Fuck you Magnus." Alec hissed at him.

"Wouldn't you like to." Magnus groaned. How had they gone from friends to this? Oh wait, he knew exactly how and it was all his fault. As much as he wanted to hate Alec for what he did, he couldn't; Magnus had forced him into a corner with no other option.

"I wish I had never met you." Alec pinched the bridge of his nose to hold back the tears of anger.

A/N I think I should just leave it here and take a break for a couple of days. What do you think? I'm kidding. This is literally killing me right now. Like I was crying while writing this and now I just feel dead inside. I'm so sorry for doing this to us all. I don't know why I'm doing it, I kind of hate myself. I'll post a happy unrelated chapter today and then I'm actually going to move this into it's own book because I was working on it all last night and it's getting way too long and sad (but there are happy moments!)for Daily Malec Fix. I'll be posting some happy, fluffy oneshots starting tomorrow before a Malec family vacation multi-part story.

Question: Who do you dress more like Magnus Bane or Alec Lightwood? Who would you want to dress more like?
