Answer: Underestimated your love of this story! haha Or at least your curiousity...

(You Will Find Me by Alex and Sierra) (Also, I think Praying by Kesha is great for this, but also way too nice for those guys)

"I want to stay in the room. You can go out." Alec plopped down on the bed with his legs and arms crossed. He looked so much like the old Alec that Magnus almost made a joke about how cute he looked but he stopped himself. It was much too soon for that.

"We did that all day yesterday. It's time to go at least for a bit. Plus, we have a place to be at in 30 minutes." Magnus said with a quick glance at his phone.

"I don't want to." Alec shook his head like a stubborn child. Magnus knew that he was just scared but Magnus also knew that they needed to make their appointment.

"Alexander, I have ways of making you do things." Magnus cocked an eyebrow at him and Alec almost, almost cracked a smile.

Alexander, I have ways of making you do things." Magnus cocked an eyebrow and Alec blushed but still kept the book tightly behind his back.

"I've grown up with Izzy as a sister; I know how to get my way." Alec smiled from ear to ear as he backed up and bumped into the wall. "Shit."

Alec peered up at Magnus through his hair that was in his eyes. "Don't you dare," Alec squinted his eyes.

"But, don't I?" Magnus wiggled his eyebrows and stepped slowly towards Alec. He made sure to not go any faster than a glacier afraid that if he moved too quickly that Alec would bolt. Magnus leisurely put one hand on the wall to the left of Alec's head and then his right hand went to Alec's side and he pinched lightly.

Alec squealed and shifted trying to get away. "Stop it, Mags." Alec yelped when Magnus leaned down and nipped at his throat. Magnus froze. Had he really just done that?

"Shit. Ah, Alec," Magnus rubbed his neck just like Alec did when he was nervous.

"Magnus." Alec said and looked up at Magnus. Alec felt a tension growing inside him. Was this why they had been acting so different around each other? Were they actually meant to be more than just friends?

"Alec." Magnus said looking deep into Alec's almost black, blue eyes.

"Alec, we need to go." Magnus grabbed Alec's hand and pulled him up.

Alec shook his head forcing the memory away. "I told you I don't want to go."

"And I told you that you have to. Now get up or I'll carry you." Magnus smirked.

"We both know you would drop me." Alec smiled back. Maybe it was the shadow of emotions from that memory, but Alec felt like smiling and going out.

"Says the clumsiest person the world has ever known." Magnus rolled his eyes.

"Where are we going?" Alec asked as he got up and pulled on his shoes.

"It's a surprise." Magnus said and moved to put his hand at Alec's back out of the old habit that he thought he had lost. He wasn't hurt, much, when Alec stepped out of reach.

"As long as it's nothing crazy, I'm in." Alec smiled again and for the first time in six months Magnus saw happiness reach Alec's eyes. It made him want to kiss him and at the same time cry. Finally, Alec was allowing himself to feel again. (Two Ghosts by Harry Styles)

"You're beautiful." Magnus whispered with the reverence that was usually reserved for only the holiest of activities.

Alec blushed then frowned when he looked down at his arms. When he looked up with sorrow filled eyes Magnus still saw the beauty because he was at least letting himself feel and sadness came hand in hand with joy. If Alec could admit that he was broken he could be fixed.

"We both know that's not true." Alec finally said and opened the door.

"No, Alexander, I actually know that it is one of the truest things I've ever spoken." Magnus said to the empty room because he knew Alec wasn't ready to hear that. It would probably hurt him more than help. Alec wasn't in the position to believe in compliments, but soon he would be. Or at least Magnus would get him used to hearing them.

"Alec, the elevator is this way." Magnus chuckled as he saw Alec walking to the right instead of left.

Alec looked between them. "Right, I wanted to take the stairs. You know, get my heart beat up."

"The stairs are down the hall." Magnus pointed to the hallway between them that went straight ahead.

"Well," Alec smiled. "Fuck."

"Glad to see some things never change." Magnus chuckled.

"Yeah, you're still a smartass." Alec shook his head and joined Magnus by the elevator.

"You sound like my mom." Magnus hit the button.

"Your mom, how is she?" Alec asked him and touched his arm then just as quickly let go.

"She's doing well. You know her, she's strong." Magnus gave him the fake smile that he reserved for this exact question.

"Magnus, I know you better than the fake answer, don't I?" Alec asked him with a half-smile, the smile that he used instead of giving Magnus pity because he knew Magnus hated pity.

Magnus took a deep breath. He hadn't talked to anyone about how it was really going; about his fears. Even Clary only got the basic responses.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but just don't lie to me, please." Alec stepped into the elevator. "I think we've lied enough for an entire lifetime and then some."

Magnus stepped inside and took another breath. He didn't want to lie but if he said what he thought out loud then he might lose the last shred of hope he had.

Alec could feel the pain like heat radiating off of Magnus. He felt terrible. Magnus had done so much for him especially the last 2 days and now Alec was hurting him even more. He touched Magnus's cheek and felt a churning in his stomach, but he ignored it. "Magnus, it's going to be okay. She'll get better and worst case, if she doesn't, you have me. I won't make you go through anymore of this alone."

"I-" Magnus stopped. He couldn't say it. He grabbed Alec tightly and tucked his head against Alec's shoulder.

A/N Same deal. You know the drill.
