"More glitter!" Izzy yelled out at the room of people buzzing around like worker bees; her worker bees. "Purple over there. Red on the other side. Glitter! Glitter! Glitter!" She clapped her hands with each exclamation.

"Lighten up Iz." Jace brushed his fingers through his hair trying to get the glitter out of his hair. He doubted he ever would. He was covered. Jace imagined that he'd die covered in glitter.

"How do you expect me to lighten up?" Izzy used her whip to pull down a streamer left by the people before them. She loved the venue that Magnus and Alec had picked. It was a garden with a gazebo that looked like a mix of Idris and central park which perfectly combined their families. "We have been waiting for this day for years! It has to be perfect!"

Jace grabbed her shoulder and kissed her cheek. "Iz, it will be perfect."

"Woah there! You could do well to not kiss my girl." Simon said as he stumbled in arms full of flowers with Clary skipping behind him carrying a basket full of little baggies full of chocolates.

"Please. I may be beautiful but I only have eyes for one and she's that incredible little red head behind you." Jace took the basket from Clary and kissed her on the lips.

"Nice save." She tapped his cheek. "Speaking of beautiful, Izzy it looks amazing!"

"Not yet but thanks. Now stop talking and get to work." Izzy snapped her whip between the three and they all jumped. "Good! Chop chop!"

Simon walked off with Jace to bring some things up from the van as Clary went to help Izzy.

"Has she been like this all day?" Simon asked.

"Worse." Jace rubbed his arm where she had hit him with her whip when he was threading fabric too slowly.

"Damn. I knew she was intense but this is just insane." Simon opened his van and caught a disco ball that rolled out.

"Just wait until it's your wedding." Jace chuckled and loaded his arms with decorations and lights.

Simon choked on his own spit. "What? Our wedding?"

Jace clapped him on the back. "Don't worry, you have time. I give it 3 weeks until she pops the question after this."

Simon went pale. "You don't really think that do you? And what do you mean she'll ask?"

"Chill out."

"How do you expect me to do that?"

"Probably stop talking about it." Jace shrugged.

"You're the one talking about it!" Simon's head was spinning out of control.

"Not anymore." Jace walked off.

"So where are Magnus and Alec?" Clary asked Izzy as they straightened a strip of people silk and looped braided black and purple fabric around the gazebo.

"They're hopefully doing nothing." Izzy shook her head. "Alec is impossible. I tried to tell him that he and Magnus shouldn't see each other but he wouldn't take that. He said the saying is the groom can't see the bride and they're both grooms so it doesn't apply."

"That sounds about right." Clary laughed. "What about the kids?"

"They're with my parents."

"That's a good idea. I bet Magnus and Alec are loving their alone time."

"They better not be loving it too much!" Izzy jumped down from the top of the ladder. "They're supposed to wait all week so tonight can be special."

"Then you probably should have made them keep Max and Rafael for the day." Clary pointed out.

"But then they'd get distracted and take them to Disneyland for the day or something like what happened on Max's birthday."

"They do spoil those kids."

"Yes they do. I can't believe they're going to be gone for a whole week without them."

"They deserve it but first they'll have the perfect wedding." Clary saw Jace carrying the lights. "Starting with those twinkling lights."

"I know. I love that they chose nighttime. It'll be beautiful with all the stars. I can't wait!" Izzy looked beyond Jace but didn't see Simon. "Where's Simon?"

Jace laughed and set down his boxes. "He'll be a minute."

"Well he better hurry or I'll have to go push him into action."

"I bet you will." Jace chuckled. Yeah they would be next.

"What?" Izzy looked at him confused.

"When will the love birds be getting here?" Jace asked.

"Two hours and our parents any minute. You're going to be in charge of the kids."

"Why me?" Jace tapped his chest.

"No offense but you're mostly pointless here."

"Hey I chose black to go with the purple and silver."

"True you helped once. Now go get some more boxes and prepare to watch two crazy kids." Izzy waved her hand at him in dismissal.
