"You go check up on Emily and I'll go get that stone," John said with a concern reflecting in his voice as they both parted ways.

C'mon Emily pick up the phone! Where are you? Hannah thought to herself. She found herself caught in the middle of these weird thoughts that she knew she shouldn't have and she should think positively because people always say that think positive and everything will be positive. But as much as she was thinking hard not to think about it, all the negative things were coming back to her. Is she alright? Why isn't she picking up her phone? Who texted her if it wasn't from her home? Is she safe? Is she in some kind of trouble? Is she in danger? So much for positive thinking!

Her eyes were glued to the call screen which was always going unanswered. She could feel her heart racing so fast that anytime now it could come out. C'mon Emily! Answer me! Where are you? Hannah checked her texts. Maybe Emily texted her? But there was no unread text. What do I do now? I don't even have the slightest of a clue where to start looking. She could be anywhere! God, please help me! I don't know what to do! She closed her eyes trying not to cry with all the anxiety that was building up inside her. She thought to call for help but whom will she call? No one knew where Emily was. Then she dialed 911. As soon as she was about to hit the call, Emily's name flashed on the screen. No one could have been as delighted as Hannah was in the whole world seeing Emily's name.

It didn't take her not even a second to answer it.

"Hello? Emily? Where are you? Are you alright?"

"Hello, Hannah. Yes, I am. Why? What happened?"

Hannah took a sigh of relief. She was thanking God so hard - more than she ever did after her test results.

"We were so worried sick! I called your mom but she told me none of them texted you to come home. Who was the text from? Forget that! What on earth happened to your phone?"

"My phone?" Emily sounded confused. "Oh, maybe it's just that there's no tower here and -"

"No tower? Which part are you in right now?"

"I'm on my way home and what do you mean none in my family texted me? There was a text from my mom asking me to come home, asap."

"Did you try calling her?"

"Yeah, but she wasn't picking up the phone."

"Anyway, what matters most is that you're safe."

"Of course, I'll be."

"Really? Try telling yourself that when one of us goes missing and you have no clue at all where to look for us or even ask for help. And to make matters worse, try calming yourself down telling that we're alright and try to think positively when all you can think about is all these negative thoughts about our lives and well-being!" Hannah blurted out but she was more than relieved to know that Emily was alright.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know I caused such a- "

"It's alright. Where are you though?"

"Well, I'm in the cab right now heading towards home. I'll call mom and tell her I'm fine. By the way, what happened at Willows? Did anyone in that strange neighborhood were of your help or what?"

"Gosh! You won't believe who helped us." Hannah almost giggled remembering the lunatic and told Emily everything - how he helped them, the meeting with the Willows, how they told them about the stone, and all the details.

"So, John's going to the police to get the stone. Good." Emily said. She was half relieved that at least now, only one stone would be left after John would collect the second piece. "Well, Hannah I'm close to the Diner. Want me to grab anything for you? I'm thinking of having something before I reach home."

"If you could, pack nachos - extra cheesy for me."

"Alright, cheese lover!" Emily teased Hannah before ending the call.

"Stop by that diner. It'll take five or ten minutes." Emily instructed the taxi driver.

The cab pulled over and parked not far from the front door. The 'DINER' was shining in red lights.

Emily got down and went inside. It was kind of a vintage diner with cream-colored wallpaper, black and white checked tiles, red leather seats on one side where people were eating their food, tube lights and lamps hung above the ceiling brightening up the place, a mini transparent storage freezer where ice-creams, frozen food, and desserts were kept, pedestal bar stools on the other side where people were enjoying milkshakes and drinks.

"Excuse me," Emily said to the counter girl. "Can I have a veg burger and some fries?"

"Sure, anything else?" She asked typing the order on the computer.

"Pack the nachos too. And make them extra cheesy."

"Sure," She said with a friendly smile. "I'll be back with your orders."

Emily sat on the pedestal while waiting for the food. She pulled out her phone and called her mom to tell her not to worry anymore. She's alright and that she'll be home soon.

"Here you go."

Emily thanked her as she took the parcel from her hands. While taking the bag, her hands accidentally knocked over the straws and the spoons on the counter, strewing them over the floor. She apologized and bent to pick them up.

When she got up, she looked around herself with aghast, not knowing what was happening to her. The Diner which was packed with people just a few seconds before was now empty as if no one had ever been there. There was darkness surrounding her as she was all alone in that eerie Diner.

"Hello?"

No answer but only her voice echoed back.

Suddenly, she heard some footsteps behind her. She turned, but there was no one. She again felt someone's shadow running behind her. She turned, but still, she was the only person in the diner. She thought to go back to her cab, with the packet still in her hands. She ran her way out but the doors were jammed - she was stuck.

Drops of sweat rolled down from her temple and she swallowed a fear of knot forming in her throat as she heard a ghostly giggle from behind her.

She pounded on the door - hard, hoping to get the attention of the driver to help her out but there was no sign of him too.

"Help! Someone! Please!" She screamed on top of her lungs.

She moved around the diner hoping to find something from which to break the glass to make an escape. Then, she saw a rod-like object near the counter. She picked it up and tried to break the glass from it but it was as if an invisible force was pulling the rod away from her. She struggled to get a hold onto it, but that force was too strong.

The room suddenly became cold. She had a feeling of being watched.

Her heart was racing at a speed more than the bullet train. How will I get out? I don't wanna be here. She was on the verge of breaking down but she held herself together. Cowardice will get you nowhere! C'mon, Emily thinks! There has to be something!

After looking all over the place, her gaze fell upon a set of knives in the kitchen. She went to grab the sharpest one thinking maybe it'll help her break the glass. But when she tried to reach for the knives, they flew in the air and lay scattered away from her.

Her body felt oddly cold. She felt the numbness creeping in.

She bent down to grab the knife when suddenly, she heard a voice -

"Looking for something?" The voice said in an evil innocence.

She turned around. "Who is there?" She tried to sound as brave as she could, collecting every last courage she had.

"You shouldn't have meddled in. Now, look at what you did. You should've let the sleeping dogs lie."

"Who are you?" She screamed.

"Now, you'll pay the price."

Before Emily could say anything, a pair of knives came speeding towards her. She lunched backward to avoid it but it was like a boomerang that kept coming back for her.

She tried to run away - looking for shelter, but the knives were behind her. They were coming close to her and in the nick of time, she hid behind a pillar, managing to save herself as the knives struck hard in the concrete.

"Come out Emily...you cannot hide."

She moved closer to the pillar, covering her mouth with one hand as to not let her sound of heavy breathing escape. Her heartbeats were insane and the sweats of fear were running down.

She thought to grab a knife which was lying next to her feet and throw it at the window with all the strength she had and quickly make an escape.

She grabbed the knife with reflex speed and threw it at one of the windows. The sound of the glass shattering echoed. Phase one successful. Now all I need to do is run for my life.

She began to run and reached the broken window. She tried to make a jump when suddenly two of the knives came flying by at her cutting her deep from the sides. She screamed in pain as the knives were stuck in her body.

All she could think of right now was to escape. Anyhow.

With the knives still half inside her body and blood streaks everywhere, she jumped out of the window and ran towards the cab.

She knocked on the window of the cab, but there was no one.

She looked around. But there was no sight of anyone. Suddenly her eyes fell upon the sign which was lit by the red lights. What strange about the sign was that - before, every letter in the diner was lit up but now it seemed like the 'N' and the 'R' letter fused leaving only the rest of the letters to lit up. Her mouth dropped open when she put together the letters that were lit in red -

'D I N E R'

She took out her phone trying to call Hannah. As she typed in the number, the screen got covered with blood with every digit she tapped.

"Hannah? HELP!" Emily shrieked.

"Emily? What happened? Where are you?" Hannah was fazed by her voice.

"HELP! PLEASE! She's gonna kill me." Emily's voice broke as she felt someone tugging at her.

"Emily? Where are you? Emily? Emily? Are you at the diner? I'm coming! Be there in 5. Emily?!"

Emily's phone dropped on the concrete road and the screen cracked. Picking up her phone and checking it was the least of her concern. She wanted to run away. Get away from there as fast as she could.

She ran and ran - away from the place - screaming in pain with the knives still stuck, feeling the sharp blades cutting her organs deep.

Suddenly, she felt herself getting knocked over on the road by the invisible paranormal force. She tried to get up, but with the pain, she was unable to. It was as if someone was keeping her tied up to the ground.

"I'm sorry. Please leave me. I promise to leave it alone. Please let me go!" Emily pleaded for her life.

"It's too late now."

As she lay there on the ground on her back with the knives still piercing her body on the sides, she saw her cab moving towards her with full speed. She saw the steering wheels moving in the dimly lit cab light and the street lights but no one was driving it - at least no human was.

"I'm Sorry! Please Let me go!" Emily pleaded and tried to escape but felt like she was glued to the road.

"Emily!"

Emily heard Hannah running towards her. She thought that she wouldn't die now that Hannah came to her rescue. She thought that Hannah would save her from Diana.

"Let me go! Please! " She saw the cab lights becoming more strong as the car came near her.

"Emily!" Hannah ran as fast as she could seeing the cab approaching Emily.

The wheels got close to Emily and as the car moved further ahead, the sharp knives stuck inside Emily's body came in contact with the wheels and as the car moved ahead gaining speed, the speed and force of the wheels caused the knives to move forward piercing her body.
