"Ain't that right, Father Murphy?" Diana asked in a sinister way.

Seeing Father Murphy still confused, Father Williams continued, "Let me explain. First of all, I was sent by Diana to gain your trust and to make you believe that I came here to help you fight the curse and Diana. You should give me props for how convincing I was though," Father Williams said feeling proud.

"And once I gained your trust, it was an easy ride from there. All this time you were thinking that I was helping you but my real motive was to help Diana. All the spells and the barriers you thought were holy and protected the Church against her, well, they were quite opposite. They all boasted her power. For example, right now you thought I was helping you slowing Diana down, but I was only helping her getting more powerful.

So you see your question of 'what are we doing wrong' should actually be 'what am I doing wrong' and that is so easy to answer - trusting me."

Saying this, Father Williams reached for something in his pocket. When he took it out, Alex stood there - shocked.
She wished that Emily was here as she saw Father Williams took out a knife. "Good thing I always carry a knife with me."

Alex looked around for Emily. She saw her and Clyde fighting off the pawns. Emily and Clyde were battered and bruised but yet they still stood strong and continued to fight. Seeing their spirit she knew that she had to do something. It was up to her.

Emily and Clyde are outnumbered but that isn't stopping them from fighting for the right thing. They must be scared. They must be afraid. They must be getting weak. But all of that isn't holding them back.

C'mon Alex, you can do it! You can stand upto Father Williams. You have to stand upto Father Williams. He needs you. You have to do it before it is too late.

Alex gave one final look towards Emily and Clyde and filled her lungs with the air of courage.

C'mon Alex! You can do this!

The knife was only a few inches away from piercing Father Murphy's skin when Alex gathered her courage and pushed Father Williams, knocking the knife from his hand onto the ground which fell with a sonorous sound.

Father Williams, still dumbfounded, kept looking at Alex and then the dropped knife and then towards Father Murphy who were thanking Alex.

"First David, and now him?" Diana said angrily. "You are nothing but a weed!"

Diana looked towards Father Williams, "Take care of him," she turned to face a scared-looking Alex, "while I take care of her."

Father Williams picked up the knife which was dropped not too far away from him and got up with a bolt, "Goodbye, Father Murphy. It's time for you to meet Jesus." There was an eagerness to kill in his voice. The blade of his knife was getting hungry for Father Murphy's blood.

Saying this, Father Williams ran towards Father Murphy and ran the knife across his arm, making him bleed. Father Murphy screamed as he covered the cut with his other hand. The pain was slowly getting unbearable but he wasn't going down without a fight.

With the blood-covered hand, he led Father Williams towards the statue of Jesus Christ. "Father Williams, you can't give in to the evil. You are stronger than this. Let the light in. You have to fight her. Believe in Him, because He believes in you. You can't let the evil win."

But despite an attempt to make him understand, Father Williams got closer and closer to a bleeding Father Murphy with the knife.

Father Williams were just about to stab Father Murphy when Father Murphy placed a cross on Father Williams's forehead and began murmuring something with his eyes closed.

The blood continued to drip on the Church floor as both Fathers bore the pain - one bore the pain of the knife while the other bore the pain of the cross.

The room spinned in front of Father Williams's eyes as he fainted causing the knife to hit the floor. Father Murphy stumbled a few steps back but got a hold on himself.

Meanwhile, telepathically, Diana began strangling Alex. "I should've finished you off right when we met outside."

Alex's legs moved back and forth as she helplessly gasped for air.

"Look at you, trembling - like a fish taken out of the water - begging for -"

"No one touches my sister!" Diana was interrupted by the commanding tone of Olivia Willows - breaking her concentration, resulting in Alex's fall with an impact on the floor.

Through the hazy vision, Alex saw her sister, Olivia, and along with her were her parents.

She got excited and relieved for a moment to see them but those feelings weren't there to last long as she feared what Diana could do to her family which she was very well aware of. But she did not want to lose her family again - and this time it would be all because of her.

Diana and Alex saw the Williows reciting spells as they began forming a protecting circle around Alex while holding hands.

The circle grew bigger and bigger - encircling Alex - with a glowing white light with a yellow tint.

With an effort, Alex tried to pull herself together as she slowly got up with a few stumbles.

"Aw, so sweet, a family sticking together," Diana raised an eyebrow in disgust.

Alex looked towards Diana. With a concentration of a hawk, Diana kept her eyes fixed on Mrs. Willows.

Oh, no! Diana could do anything, any moment now to mom!

"Mom! Look out!" Alex screamed as the circle - like an envelope - around her grew larger.

Diana moved her head to her left with a jerk causing Mrs. Willows to fly with a jet speed in the same direction. Before anything could happen to Mrs. Willows, her husband saved her and held onto her.

"Run! Alex! Run!" Mrs. Willows yelled in concern. "We can't hold her off for long, but it should be long enough for you to escape."

"No, mom," Alex said emotionally, "I'm not leaving you. I lost you all once, I can't lose you again," Alex said with tears down her cheeks.

"We haven't left you, Alex," Mr. Willows said softly taking Diana's blows along with her wife, "We'll always be in your heart."

"Alex, listen to us, please," Olivia began, "the circle will fade any moment now, you have to listen to mom and dad. Run, sis, please!"

"I miss you all so much!" Alex broke down but she gathered up her bleak strength and ran as her family fought against Diana. Her protective circle was almost gone.

Diana saw this but Alex hadn't gone much far. Leaving the Church, she chased Alex down on the streets.

If I could run fast enough and long enough, maybe I could keep Diana away from the Church, away from everyone, and then everyone could get enough time to fight off her pawns and think of a way to end her.

My feet are killing me, but I can't give up. What would've Emily done in this situation? She would've never given up and so, I am not giving up.

Along the way, Diana screamed as she raised all the streetlamps and threw them towards Alex.

The lamp posts charged like a bullet train towards Alex - tearing the air. Alex looked back while still running for her life.

Unfortunately, a medium-sized rock came at the wrong time beneath her shoes and as a result she tripped and and fell on her back on the concrete road.

She wanted to get up and dodge the lamp posts but because of the fall, her ankle got sprained.

No! No! This can't be happening right now!

Hundreds of the street lights began blinding Alex as they got closer and closer to her.

Believing that this was her end, she murmured under her breath as she shielded her eyes, "I'm sorry, mom, I'm sorry, dad, I'm sorry, -"

"Alex, watch out!"

Olivia?

Alex removed her hands from her eyes and saw Olivia in front of her.
Olivia took the blow instead of her.

In an attempt to save Alex, Olivia sacrificed herself.

"NO!" Alex looked at her and broke down on the streets. "No! Why did you sacrifice yourself? Wouldn't it be great if Diana would've killed me? I would've been able to see you, stay with you, mom, and dad forever. I'm sorry, this is all my fault!"

"A- Alex," Olivia began - her spirit begining to fade away piece by piece,"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault. I knew Diana would surely kill you. Mom and Dad got really weak and honestly I don't know if they survived the fall or not but I couldn't see you get hurt. And don't worry about me, my spirit got freed doing what I was supposed to do. Saving you was my purpose. Take care, Alex."

Olivia's spirit disappeared with every passing second.

Alex sat there crying her heart out as she saw Olivia's spirit completely disappearing into thin air.

"Look at you," Diana commented, "your sister sacrificed herself to save you here, and your parents sacrificed themselves to save you back there."

Hearing those dreadful words Alex said in denial, "No, you are lying, they can't be dead. They can't leave me again. I have so much to talk about, so much to tell them. I have just met them again and I lost them? Forever? No! Kill me, Diana. Just kill me!" Alex yelled in pain with her eyes swollen. "I don't wanna live anymore. Kill me!"

"So, you are practically begging me to take away your life? Well, you couldn't die even if I try to."

Diana continued after a pause, "What? Don't look at me like you don't know anything. While making a protective ring around you, your family gave up more than half of their energy to protect you. Their sacrifice will always protect you. That's how strong a pure family's love is."

"What's that?" Alex examined Diana's face carefully. "Are you cr-"

"Stop it. I won't be able to kill you but I can make your life a living hell if you don't stop." Saying this Diana vanished leaving a confused and broken Alex on the street.
