I changed out of my scrubs and into yoga pants and one of Jesse's sweatshirts. Taking off my contacts and slipping in my glasses, I headed downstairs and began to prepare dinner.

"I'm home!" Cam's deep voice called through the small house. "Damn sis, it smells really good!" He jogged into the kitchen and tried to take a cookie, but I slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch." He rolled his eyes.

"Bully." I ruffled his hair before checking the chicken in the oven.

"You love me." The fifteen year old boy snorted.

"Keep thinking that old lady." I put my hands on my hips and glared at him.

"I'm not old! I'm 30!"

"Thirty's old sis." Jason's voice echoed through the house and I turned my glare onto him, and he held his arms uo in surrender.

"The minute you turn eighteen, I'm throwing you out." He raised his eyebrow.

"That's next week."

"Then you better start packing your bags."

"What bags? Are we going somewhere?" Ryan gave me a hug and a kiss on the head. "Hey Charlie." Sophia came walking in behind him, their two year old daughter still wobbly as she put one foot in front of her.
I kneeled to her level and she ran to me.

"Lottie!!!!" Laughing, I kissed her on the head.

"Hi princess. How are you?" Ella grinned at me, her tiny teeth sparkling and her expression exactly like my brother's.

"Good! We went to the park today!" I smiled and then went back to my cooking.

"Was it fun?" Sophia lifted her up, being careful because of her perturbing stomach. Her and Ryan were expecting baby number two in May, which was in three months, and they were over the moon. They told me they planned to call the little boy Sammy, in honor of our mom Sally, which I thought was a wonderful idea.

"I'm home!" Jesse came through the door, his uniform messed up because of the wind outside. He walked straight to me and gave me a tender kiss, which had me melted on the spot. I heard Cam groan.

"Gross you two, get a room." Laughing into the kiss, I gave my husband a warm smile and he sniffed, smelling the food.

"I got off early from the hospital, so I started cooking early." Turning to everyone, I told them to go sit down and that I'd bring out the food. They all filed into the dining room noisily, leaving Jesse and I alone. He nodded and said softly in my ear,

"It smells delicious cupcake." Jesse had stress lines on his face, despite his young age, probably due to his line of work. He was a policeman who dealt with abused and neglected children, and saw a lot of horrific situations. I was a nurse at the local hospital, taking care of newborns, which was so calming for me.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it today." Jesse gave me a apologetic frown, and I shook my head.

"Don't worry about it."

"What happened?"

"They said everything's fine." His shoulder lost a bit of tension and I could sense the relief.

"Do you have a-" I pulled it out of my bag and Jesse held it as though it was a case of diamonds. "Oh Charlie, they're beautiful." I kissed him on the cheek and smiled, leaning my head on his shoulder.

The scan pictures showed two twin girls, both sucking their thumbs, inside of my stomach.

"What should we call them?"

"I was thinking Hope and Faith." He nodded and kissed my nose.

"Perfect." I flicked him in the ear and he flinched.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"You distracted me." He gave me a teasing glare.

"It hurt!" Rolling my eyes, I grabbed the first bowl of food.

"Please sweetheart, cry me a river."
