"So... What you mean to tell me is that you weren't the one who confessed ?"

"No, Gray. It wasn't me. I know it's a bit confusing but you've got to believe me." You said while sighing.

You had just gotten back from the S-class mage's house when Gray stopped you in the street. You then had to explain to him what you and Juvia were plotting.

"Sorry about that... You know Juvia and her crazy ideas." You laughed nervously.

He had a confusing look on his face and groaned. "You aren't any better Y/N... You agreed to it, you idiot."

You looked down to your feet, fidgeting slightly. "Sorry, Gray. I'll make it up to you somehow."

He grinned up at the proposition. "Oh, you better. I'll be keeping my eye on you."

Just as he was about to walk off, you grabbed onto his arm. "Gray. Do you think I should give up on him ?"

He looked at you gently. "I don't know. I don't think I should be the one to tell you what you can or can't do. You know your limits, after all."

"Thanks, I guess..." you uttered, followed with a sigh.

When you finally let go of him, he walked past you a few meters before slightly turning his head.

"I'll be there for you if things don't work out. So, don't worry too much about it."

Your eyes suddenly widened and you crossed your arms looking downwards. When he saw your lack of response, he scoffed and grinned at you. Waving slowly, he walked further away not turning back.

"Thanks Gray !" You shouted at him, smiling.

Somehow hearing him say this made you feel better. You looked at him bashfully and started walking back to your apartment.

You had bought it earlier this year. It was small and a little rusty at first but you managed to make it work thanks to the makeover you gave it.

You had previously lived in Fairy hills with the other girls but had decided that you needed your own space. Though living alone made you realized that you did like having company around sometimes. So you'd occasionally go back and have sleepovers with them.

As you approached your home, you could hear wailing, so you quickly ran to see what was going on.

Only to find Juvia laying down on the ground next to your apartment complex wailing.

"Oh my god... Juvia, are you okay ?" You told her grinning. You were trying really hard not to burst out laughing.

You coughed slightly, "Come on, tell big sister Y/N, what happened !"

She pulled you down next to her, while hugging and sniffled.

"H-How ? He believed me but.. Why was he okay with it ? Why didn't he mind ? It's not fair !"

"I-I'm so sorry Juvia. I mean if it makes you feel better you've still got time !"

She bawled even harder.

"I mean... You're right but, he didn't even mention Juvia's name !"

She took a deep breath. "Like 'Oi, you know I only care for Juvia.' Not even that ! But you know what, no ! I won't give up !"

At this point, you weren't laughing anymore. You couldn't lie. She was pretty remarkable. Hearing her speech made you want to work even harder too.

"Y/N, thank you for lending your shoulder ! You're the absolute best !" She said, while hugging you. You hugged back of course and patted her head.

As she walked back, she screamed, "Oh, and Erza's looking for you by the way !"

You thanked her and waved her goodbye before walking back to your apartment.

When going out with Erza, a lot of mental preparations had to take place.

First off, you had to bring money since, even though she had double the amount you had, she liked to be pampered. Which you didn't mind too much since it's nice to get our stuff payed for sometimes.

And since you had recently been paid for your job with Gildarts (in which he gave you the majority of the money), you happened to be pretty loaded at the moment. But as much as you enjoyed spending time with her, damn the woman could walk !

Since your magic didn't exactly rely on your physique but more the mental aspect, you had the luxury of not training as hard as the other. So in regards to that, your physical form wasn't as strong and capable as the others.

So it would quickly be pretty annoying to hang out with Erza since she would drag you endlessly for hours around Fiore. So before leaving your home, you had stretched to prevent yourself from fainting.

But who knows ? Maybe this time, you won't be walking as much.

"Y/N ! I'm here !" you heard behind you. There, you found Erza in her casual clothes, along with her face sparkling.

You smiled back at her. "Hey Erza ! So, why'd you ask me here ?"

"I wanted to go to this new café they opened up last week. And I've been meaning to talk to you for awhile now."

The both of you walked across Magnolia in search of the café. When you had found it, you walked inside and took seats at the back, for more privacy.

"So what's up ?" You asked with a bright smile. "Are you here to ask about him too ?"

"No, don't worry. I'm actually here to take your mind off of him. "

You looked at her amazed. "Oh... Thanks. That's really appreciated, actually."

A waitress had approached your table.

"Are you two ready to order ?" She said warmly. You looked at the menu together.

You both ordered your food and continued talking.

You and Erza talked about various things. Mostly about your magic though, or complaining about stuff. But it was really pleasant.

It felt nice to see the vulnerable side of Erza. You were glad she felt comfortable enough with you to show that side. Hours had passed. When you got together, you never took caution of the time.

Walking out of the café felt really good. You and Erza had spend hours in there talking so when you both got up, your legs had felt like jelly. You stretched a bit before heading out while linking arms. It had been a while since you two had talked like this.

As you continued your walk, you and Erza kept on talking about everything and nothing. While you guys kept on walking you felt a hand on your shoulder. So you turned around rapidly to see who it was.

"Sorry. Did I scare you ?"

You smiled, relaxed. "Laxus ! A little bit, " You laughed, "What are you doing here anyway ?"

"Just passing by. I finished the job earlier so I thought I'd relax at a resort, or something... But I learned that Fairy Tail's going to a bath house for 2 nights so I thought that that might be more fun. Plus, you know, I'm not paying..." He said leaning down a wall nearby.

"Oh. I forgot to tell you about that Y/N. My apologies." expressed Erza.

"It's fine, don't worry about it !" You reassured her.

"What were you guys doing together anyway ? Plotting a murder ?" Laxus said jokingly while advancing towards the both of you.

"Yeah, we were totally doing that. Might be yours so keep your guard up, alright ?" You warned while smirking.

He grinned and smirked back. You then took a more serious expression. "Oh. I'm not joking, honey."

"W-What ?" he gulped.

Erza looked between the two of you. "She's joking of course..." She sighed.

Laxus looked at her, slightly glaring. "Don't worry Erza, I know she wo-"

"Or is she ?" She said smirking. You nudged her, the two of you laughing.

"Very funny you two... So, are you guys coming ?"

Erza nodded. The both of them turned their heads to look at you.

"What about you Y/N ?" asked Erza.

You smiled at the both of them. "Sorry guys. I've been so busy today. I can't walk anymore. I just want to go home and lay down... And do absolutely nothing."

"But, I'll definitely be there tomorrow !"

"What the hell did you all day for you to not want to go to a bath house ?"

"Well, I dragged myself in Juvia's crazy antics this morning. And then I had to go explain myself to Gray which was embarrassing in itself.. Oh, and as you know I've been hanging out with Erza for the rest of the day..." You explained.

Laxus looked at you with a confused face.

"Oh ? The great Y/N ends up following the footsteps of the thirsting water mage ? Who could have predicted this to have happened ?" He said smirking.

You blushed, and frowned embarrassed.

"Well, for your information, I wasn't informed that you were returning today. Go ahead make fun of me, asshole ! You wouldn't have known about it if you had come back later..."

"Let's leave Y/N alone, Laxus. She doesn't deserve to be teased about her questionable choices. After all, she's a woman in love !" She proclaimed seriously.

You patted her back, thanking her.

"Whatever. We're leaving, I guess. Talk to you tomorrow Y/N." You said, the both of them nudging your arms.

"Bye guys !" You waved them goodbye.

Walking back to your apartment (again), you couldn't help but feel grateful for the friends you had and the guild you happened to stumble upon. Even though you didn't get along as well with everyone, you still treated like family.

'Damn.. Why am I getting so emotional today ?'

Whatever it was that was making feel this way you still felt pretty grateful for it. You felt really good right now.

And suddenly, you couldn't wait for tomorrow.

Yeah, so I'm back. I've been editing the story for the past month since I just felt like it was way too cringy. I really do hope the changes that I made help the story make more sense. And for anyone that's curious, I still have the original story ! The original was just a mess, and I didn't really end up changing much to be honest.
