i just went to one so i thought i'd make an imagine about one haha

my twelve year old sister just read my motorcycle chapter and told me she almost threw up bc of how cringey it is :)

btw the ending to this is crap so be prepared.

no one. i swear i know no one here. of course i know my family, my grandparents and the bride and groom but otherwise, i'm practically alone here. the ceremony goes quick enough and tears were shed, congratulations were passed, but i still had no one to eat with or hang out with.

i walk over to my table and pull my dress up before taking a seat.

"y/n why are you all alone?" my brother asks, approaching me. "because i don't know anybody. you've got the cousins but none of them are my age." i tell him. "well come hang out with us." he suggests. i scoff. "all you guys do are back flips and talk about girls' butts. i'll pass, thanks." i tell him. "alright." he says, walking away.

i sit there, sipping my punch and eating my cupcake. soon enough, tenerife sea by ed sheeran begins to play. the bride and groom step onto the dance floor and slow dance as the entire crowd awes. after a little while other couples begin to dance around them.

"may i have this dance?" i hear a masculine voice on the right of me. my eyes shift up and widen when i see the most stunning human ever. he stares into my eyes, a soft grin across his beautiful face. "i don't even know your na-" i begin before he cuts me off. "c/n." he says, making me giggle. "fine." i say, taking his hand. he leads me to the center of the dance floor and places his two hands on my hips as mine go around his neck.

"you haven't asked me my name." i say, breaking the silence between us. "that's because i already know it." he smirks. i furrow my brows. "how-"

"i asked your brother."

"why?"

"because you're beautiful."

a blush creep across my face. "you must be pretty confident to be able to ask a girl to dance just like that." i say, my eyes shifting to my feet. "nope, i just couldn't stop myself." he says, staring at my face. "and this isn't a dare?" he shakes his head, still staring at me intensely.

"aaare you sure?" i ask again. he lightly chuckles before pulling me in closer.

"one hundred percent."

"oh boy, you're smooth." i tell him, giggling as a salsa song comes on. he salsas me across the floor, making me laugh non stop.

"why are you so good at dancing?" i ask him, a hint of sarcasm as he smirks. "dunno, guess it comes naturally." he says.

i roll my eyes. "that was sarcasm." i inform him, making him frown.

we finish dancing and go and sit at my table. i take my cup of punch and chug it down. "it tastes different..." i say suspiciously. "lemme try it." c/n says, taking the glass from me.

he sips the drink and cringes. "it's been spiked."

"what?! how do you know?" i ask him, smelling it. "i blame your brother. he's been talking about spiking drinks the entire day."

"i'm going to go smack the daylight out of him." i say, seeing him dancing with his friends.

"i'll help." he says, walking next to me as we approach him. "what were you thinking?! spiking my drink like that! were you going to keep doing it?" i shout, quietly to him.

"it was just a joke, chill." he replies, making me roll my eyes. "very funny. now leave my punch alone or i'll punch you." i say, walking away as his friends 'oohed' and i cringed.

"i'm glad you asked me to dance." i told c/n.

"i'm glad i asked." he replies, smiling down at me.
