"Even if the stars and moon collide, I never want you back into my life, you can take your words and all your lies." You and your best friend were singing along to Demi Lovato while getting ready for the Winter Formal dance at your school.

You curled your hair, and put in your dress which was a y/f/c v-neck that went down to mid thigh. After doing b/f/n's hair as well, the both of you did your makeup.

You kept your makeup simple but noticeable. You wore false eyelashes, some golden eye shadow, winged eyeliner, blush, highlight, and a pinkish-nude matte lip color. B/f/n did a similar look, but put on a bit more than you had, seeing she actually had her boyfriend, c/f/n, to impress, while you being the single Pringle you are, weren't obligated to look good for anyone.

"We look good." Said b/f/n, admiring herself in the mirror.

"No, you look good. I look like I'm out of my comfort zone." You said, not used to looking like this.

"Let's go. C/f/n just texted, he said he was on his way here to pick us up with c/n."

At the mention of c/n's name, you felt a mixture of emotions. You were excited, giddy, but most of all anxious. Your crush had never seen you look like this before and you were curious to see what he thought.

"Alright. Let's go." At the sound of the horn honking outside of b/f/n's house, you both slipped on your shoes and went outside to greet the two guys.

"Hey, babe." Said b/f/n to c/f/n, while c/n got out of the front seat so the couple could sit next to each other, while you two sat in the house.

You raised your eyebrows and smiled at c/n as he held the door open for you.

"Hi." You said.

"Hey." He smiled.

You both sat through the rest of the drive in silence, listening to the radio, occasionally stealing glances at each other, and slightly blushing when one person caught the other looking.

You arrived at the school and entered the gym. Strings with sparkly silver and gold beads hung from the entrances, and the ceiling, and lights were hung along the walls, giving it a starry night look.

"Wow." You said under your breath, following your friends as they went to catch a table.

B/f/n and c/f/n sat next to each other, so you and    c/n had to sit next to each other.

The four of you discussed a variety of topics ranging from school shootings to weather Marvel was better than DC.

After a while, c/f/n asked b/f/n to dance so they ditched the both of you and left to the dance floor. For the first minute, you awkwardly checked your phone, until you decided enough was enough, and made conversation.

"So where's your date?" You asked.

"She's sitting right next to me." He replied, a smile appeared on his lips.

You laughed in disbelief, and tried to ignore the massive blush that arose on your cheeks. You knew he couldn't see it, but you still felt it. "That was smooth."

"I know," he said, "do you wanna dance, maybe?"

"You know what? Yeah, I do." You said trying to play yourself off as confident, when you were actually melting inside.

You took his outstretched hand, and he led you to the dance floor.

"You know, you picked a great moment. I love this song." You told him.

Your favorite romantic slow song was playing, and you put one arm on his shoulder and held his hand with your other hand, and he put the hand you weren't holding on the small of your back, pulling you close.

"Have I told you how gorgeous you are?" He asked, his face so close to yours.

"I don't think so." You breathed.

"Well, that color should thank you for wearing it."

"Wow." You laughed, "you know, you're coming across as a major fuckboy with all this hitting on me." You said jokingly.

"Well, how else do I put myself out there for the girl I like?"

"Just tell her your feelings. You're a great guy, she'd be lucky to have you." You said, dying a bit inside because you had jumped to the conclusion that he wasn't talking about you.

"Okay. I like you, y/n." He said, looking deep into your eyes, paralyzing you. You couldn't look away, not that you wanted to.

"I guess it's your lucky day." You said, deciding to live in the moment.

You let go of his hand and brought both of your hands to his neck, and he dropped his other hand to your waist.

You brought his head down to yours and kissed him, short and sweet. You broke apart, looking into his eyes to see if he was okay with what you did. He closed his eyes, and pulled you to hi once again, pressing a longer, more passionate kiss on your lips.

After he pulled apart, his hands that were on your waist pulled you closer to him, and your hands found his neck again. Your head was pressed against his chest and his chin rested on the top of your head.

He kissed the top of you head and the both of you remained that way for the next half hour. In each other's embrace, feeling each other's rapid heartbeats that said what the both of you couldn't find the words to say. It was perfect, and it would stay that way.
