"Bye, Mom!" you called, waving before shutting the car door.

"Bye, y/n! Don't forget to call!" your mom yelled back, waving as you hopped out of the car.

Your mom had just dropped you off at camp. You would be spending the entire summer in the woods with your two best friends, Sienna and Kira. After meeting up with them, the three of you traveled to the cabin where you'd be sharing the next three months.

"I'm so excited!" you grinned, neatly folding your shirts into the wooden dresser.

"Me too! I've been looking forward to this for weeks!" Kira squealed, flopping down on her bed.

"We're going to have the best summer ever!" Sienna added.

After settling your belongings, the food bell rang, signaling dinner time.

"Boy, I'm starving," Kira noted, patting her stomach.

"Me too!" you chimed in, piling some food onto your plate.

As the three of you sat down in the dining hall, you noticed him – y/c! When your eyes met his, he smiled at you, and you returned the gesture. But as you sat down at your table, you immediately ducked your face, confusing your friends.

"Y/n, are you okay?"

"No, look at that table," you mumbled, subtly pointing to y/c's table.

"It's y/c!" Kira practically screamed.

"Kira, shut up; he'll hear you!" you grumbled, throwing your shoulder into her side.

"Y/n, he's so looking at you!" Sienna squealed, nudging your arm.

"Oh, he is not," you blushed, quickly glancing up at him.

Sure enough, he was looking at you, smiling as your eyes met again. Immediately, you gazed down at your food, nudging it around with your fork. After what felt like an eternity, dinner was finally over, allowing you to retreat to your cabin.

"I can't believe he's here!" you exclaimed, flopping down on the bed.

"It's meant to be! You two are going to have a summer romance, like in the movies!" Sienna squealed, laying down on the bed next to you.

"Oh, y/n, it's so obvious he likes you," Kira chimed in, sitting down on the bed.

"He does not!" you scoffed, throwing a pillow at her.

"He does!" she insisted, throwing the pillow back at you.

The three of you stayed up for hours, chatting about y/c and how you were meant to be, though you highly doubted it.

The sound of birds woke you, your stomach still filled with butterflies from last night. You couldn't believe that y/c was here! While getting dressed, the only thing on your mind was him – the way his eyes lit up when he laughed, how his smile could melt even the coldest of hearts; you were head over heels.
Following breakfast, you all stood there, looking for a place to sit. Before you could agree on a table, Kira brought up a different subject.

"You should go talk to y/c!" Kira encouraged, nodding her head slightly in his direction.

"I can't just go talk to him; it's not that easy!" you protested, looking over at him.

"Sure, you can!" Sienna said, putting her arm on your other shoulder.

"Okay, fine, I'll go say hi," you agreed, taking a deep breath before walking over to his table.

"Hey, y/c!" you smiled, standing at the edge of the table.

"Oh hey, y/n! I was meaning to come over and talk to you!" he smiled, making your heart leap.

Before you could say anything else, he immediately invited you to sit down.

"Here, come sit by me," he smiled, patting the seat next to him.

Sitting down, you motioned for your friends to sit next to you and y/c's friends. A few minutes into breakfast, you couldn't help but notice that y/c was quite close to you, his shoulder touching yours. Your friends noticed this too, making kissy faces whenever y/c wasn't watching.
After breakfast, y/c invited you and your friends to go canoeing on the lake, and you were thrilled.

"We should have a boat race!" y/c suggested, buckling his life vest.

"Ooo, that sounds fun!" you smiled, fastening your own life vest.

"We should split up into teams," Sienna suggested, smirking at you.

"That's a great idea! Y/n, do you want to be my partner?" y/c asked, playfully punching your arm.

"Of course!" you agreed, slyly giving Sienna a death glare.

Pulling out the canoes, you all lined up at the starting line, ready to race.

"Okay, 1... 2... 3!" y/c's friend called, quickly paddling through the water.

The teams ended up being Sienna and Max, Kira and Jake, and you and y/c. Kira and Jake were in the lead, followed by you and y/c, then Sienna and Max in dead last.

"C'mon, y/n, we've got this!" y/c encouraged, paddling faster.

The two of you began to paddle the canoe faster, gradually catching up to Kira and Max. Coming to the finish line, you were neck and neck, but somehow you and y/c managed to win.

"We did it!!" y/c exclaimed, picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder.

You couldn't help but blush; his first reaction was to pull you close. After y/c realized what he was doing, he quickly set you down.

"S-sorry," he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Hey, it's okay because we won!" you exclaimed, lifting his arm along with yours.

The remainder of the afternoon was spent at the lake, partaking in more boat races and chicken fights.

"Do you guys want to come with us to the campfire after dinner?" y/c suggested, walking you back to your cabin.

"Of course!" your friends exclaimed in unison, prompting everyone to laugh.

"Sounds like fun," you blushed, looking forward to it already.

After changing and eating dinner, the six of you sat around the campfire, telling funny stories. As Max was telling his story, the wind started to pick up, leaving goosebumps all over your skin.

"I'm going to grab a sweatshirt," you shivered, standing up from your spot by y/c.

"Mind if I join?" y/c asked, rising from his chair.

"Sure," you agreed, butterflies erupting in your stomach.

Together, the two of you walked side by side through the dark, approximately five minutes away from your cabin.

"So, uh, how are you liking camp?" you asked, trying to start a conversation.

"I love it! Especially now that we're friends," he smirked, playfully bumping into your side.

"Me too," you smiled, nudging him back.

You walked in silence for a few minutes until you got up the nerve to tell him – tell him you liked him.

"Hey, y/c, can I, uh, tell you something?" you asked, stopping in the middle of the path.

"Sure, what is it?"

"I don't want to ruin what we have going on right now but. I just wanted to tell you I have feelings for you... more than a friend."

"You do..?"

"I do... I have for a while now."

"Me too."

The moment felt so perfect as you both inched closer together, y/c cupping your face in his hands before your lips touched. Sparks felt like they were erupting from your body.  The two of you spent the rest of camp being more than just friends ;)

Hope that was ok!
