"You were on your phone the whole time! It was supposed to be a romantic dinner for you and me, not you and your phone!" You shouted.

Y/bf had taken you out for a romantic dinner, which was amazing until he pulled out his phone, completely losing focus on you.

"I was just checking on my brother! You overreact sometimes! It's like dealing with a child who needs constant attention," Y/bf justified, crossing his arms.

"It's like you don't even love me anymore," you cried, slamming the car door and walking into the house.

"Y/n, get back here!" Y/bf shouted, attempting to catch up to you.

You immediately ran to the guest room, slamming the door and making sure you locked it.

"Y/n, open up, please," Y/bf pleaded, softly knocking on the door.

You didn't answer, just covered your face with a pillow, attempting to block out his voice. He knocked for a few minutes before finally receiving the message that you didn't want to talk.

The nighttime dragged on as you lay awake, continuously tossing and turning, unable to find a comfortable position. After nearly two hours of restlessness, you finally found a comfortable position and quickly drifted off to sleep.

As you rested peacefully, a sudden crack of thunder awoke you, sending your heart racing. Looking around the dark room, shadows seemed to creep across the walls and ceiling, making you feel quite scared.

You debated going back to your room with y/bf, but you were still quite upset with him. As you silently pondered your options, another crack of thunder filled the air, causing you to scream. Drawing the covers over your head, you hoped y/bf hadn't detected you, but the sound of footsteps rushing to your room told you otherwise.

"Y/n! Are you okay?" Y/bf demanded, loudly knocking on the door.

Jumping out of bed, you unlocked the door, immediately wrapping your arms around his abdomen.

"I'm sorry! I should've been more considerate about your brother and his situation. Sorry I got mad at you," you cried, feeling his strong arms wrap around you.

"It's okay, I shouldn't have been texting him during our special date. I'm sorry," he apologized, kissing the top of your head.

"Now, why were you screaming? Are you okay?"

Before you could respond, another clap of thunder came. You squealed, holding on tighter to him.

"That," you sighed, pointing at the window.

"Aww, c'mere," he cooed, picking you up in his arms.

He brought you back to your room, holding you close to him as the storm outside raged on.

"I'll always be here. I'll always keep you safe."

As the storm continued on outside, you were safe in his arms.
