After searching the building for what seemed like forever but in reality, was probably only 5 minutes, I found the classroom to Advanced Calculus 2 with Mr. Peters.

The bell hasn't rung yet considering I was still early, even after my conversation with the headmaster.

I walk into the classroom to see an older man sitting at the front desk, a large stack of papers in front of him.

With the sound of the door closing, he looks up from his work, and looks at me a little confused.

Which makes sense since he's never seen me before.

"Can I help you?"

I take another couple steps into the classroom to avoid talking so loudly, "hi I'm Jade and I was just transferred into your class."

He moves the papers out of his way to replace them with the laptop that was beside him, he opens it up and starts typing before stopping and reading something, then looking back to me with a small smile.

"Yes, it seems I was emailed this morning about your schedule change." He closes the laptop and seems to think for a moment, "since we're already a couple months into the school year most kids already have set seats in the classroom, but I believe the last two seats open are in the backrow, the two columns closest to the window."

I smile, happy that I don't have to sit in the front.

He pulls out a drawer in his desk that contains a lot of files that he begins flipping through before deciding which ones he wants and pulling it out.

"For the class period I would like you to take this practice test, it covers everything we have and will learn in this class and will help me see where you stand along with the rest of the students, don't worry if you don't know an answer to a question, just try your best. This will be the first thing in the grade book for you but will be graded off completion instead of accuracy, based off what things you do and do not know we can start incorporating you into the class lessons."

He hands the test to me, and I take it, happy to have something to do. I glance behind me at the clock above the door seeing that I still have 5 minutes before the first bell rings, I turn back to Mr. Peters, "can I start this now?"

He smiles and gives me a yes and good luck before I make my way to the back of the classroom. I pick the seat in the back that's closest to the window, and take a pencil out of my bag to start on the test.

The test is bigger than the packet I was given to look at classes, so this might take a little bit.

About a page and a half into the test packet the first bell rings, so far the test isn't that bad but I know I have 10 minutes before everyone is in this classroom and it will be harder for me to focus by being around all those people.

8 minutes later and 3 pages later people start to trickle in from the hallway. They all seem to look at me, taken aback by the new girl in the back of the classroom but I try to avoid their stares.

A minute later someone I didn't really want to see this morning walks into the classroom with a happy looking Charlie next to him.

Once my eyes find his I quickly look away and try to focus on the math problems but I can still feel him looking at me, and soon I see the both of them approaching my desk.

I look up to see Charlie waving at me, "hey Jade, I didn't know you were in this class." Finn just looks at me with a blank stare on his face, its not mean but it's not nice either.

I give Charlie a small smile, "I got transferred this morning."

His smile seems to grow even more, which is when I realize I haven't really spoken to Charlie yet before.

After I started talking to Callie, I guess it just got easier to talk to other people too.

"You know this class is Advanced Calc right?" Finn finally speaks up, now his face does look a little meaner, but maybe that's just because his words were a little mean too.

Also, what's up with everyone in this place thinking I'm stupid, I mean do I look stupid or something and even if that were true how does one person even look stupid? Is it their clothes? Their face—well I guess people do get called a stupid head, but I feel like that pertains more to your brain than the physical appearance of your head, but one really could never kn—

My rambling thoughts were interrupted by the second bell ringing,  time for class.

Charlie gives me a smile before heading over to his desk, while Finn just stares down at me for a moment, now his face is definitely angry, but why......I don't know.

Maybe it was because I didn't go to dinner?

No, I doubt that he would care all that much.

Finally, he takes his angry scowling ass to his own seat as Mr. Peters starts talking. I drown him out and focus back to the task at hand, finishing this test, and although Mr. Peters said it was graded on completion I still want to do really good on it.

***

There's about 5 minutes left of class when I finish the test and honestly it wasn't that hard, but was still a little challenging.

Everyone else in the class is working on the homework for tonight since the lesson ended early. I put my pencil back in my bag and swing it onto my shoulder, I grab the test packet and make my way to the front of the classroom, keeping my eyes down since I can feel everybody else's on me.

I place my packet on Mr. Peters desk as he looks up to me confused, "did you have a question about one of the problems?"

Wait now I'm confused.

"Umm no, I finished."

His brows furrow as he picks the test up from the desk and starts flipping through it, finding every question answered and all my work shown.

"Wow."

Wow? Wow what? Wow good? Wow bad?

"Is their something wrong with it?"

He shakes his head and looks up to me, "No Jade, you just finished it a lot faster than I thought you would but good job, I'll look it over and get back to you tomorrow on what our plan will be for the year."

Okay so I guess that's a good wow.

I look up at the clock, 3 minutes till class ends.

"Is their anyway I could leave a little early so I can find my next class in time."

He grabs a blue slip from the desk scribbles his signature and hands it to me, "go ahead, if anyone has an issue show them the note."

I nod and start heading to the door, knowing everyone's still looking at me but I only look back to wave a goodbye to Charlie who excitedly waves back. Finns still scowling but I try not to look at him.

Leaving the classroom, I start making my way down the hallway I believe my literature class would be.

It doesn't take long before I find it and I silently wait outside the classroom until the bell rings while everyone else in the previous class exits the room.

I walk in and approach the teacher, a lady who looks to be in her late thirties, with thick glasses and a welcoming smile.

"Hi I'm Jade."

She nods at me enthusiastically, the warm smile still plastered on her face, "I got the headmasters email this morning, its lovely to meet you jade I'm Mrs. Baker." I shake her outstretched hand and she leads me to her desk.

"Here's the book we're reading in class, we just started so there no need for you to catch up to anything. We'll ignore the previous assignments and just focus on the stuff assigned now. There will be a quiz every Friday over the chapters that were assigned that week. We read about a book a month, with test, quizzes, presentations, and essays sprinkled throughout." I take the book and look towards the class as people start walking into the room.

She starts walking over to one of the tables on the left side of the classroom, closest to the door, "I do assign seats, but they change a couple times throughout the year, you'll be sitting here next to Callie."

Callie?

Like we were speaking her into existence Callie appears next to Mrs. Baker.

"Jade!?"

The teacher turns towards Callie, "oh Callie there you are, I see you've already met Jade. She will be your table partner for the next couple of months." She turns back to me, "let me know if you need anything else Jade."

As she makes her way back to her desk, Callie smiles at me. "Jade! Why didn't you tell me you changed to this class, and where were you yesterday?"

I sit in my seat and place the book on the desk while Callie does the same. "I got my schedule changed this morning."

She lets out a sigh, "oh, good. I'm not really friends with anyone in this class so its really nice that you're here."

'Not friends', I doubt that.

"Hey, do you know what was up with Finn yesterday?"

I still at the mention of Finn, "what do you mean?"

"I mean when we got home yesterday, he looked like he was going to kill someone, which isn't unnormal for him, but usually when that happens Phoenix or Charlie will get called to deal with him, but neither of them knew what was wrong. OH MY GOD and then at dinner he was scowling at everyone, and I mean everyone Jade, he even looked at his food like he wanted to strangle it. This morning wasn't any better either, he didn't even eat breakfast, just walked into the kitchen, looked at all of us and then walked out, so Charlie chased after him."

Great, so now I'm definitely staying away from Finn.

I don't respond to her, not wanting to lie but also not wanting to tell her the truth and make Finn not like me even more.

"Hey you okay?"

I shrug my shoulders I guess I'm okay, I mean I'm not okay but I'm okay. If that even makes sense.

The bell rings before she can ask me more about being okay but that doesn't really stop her from talking, luckily she changes the topic.

"Hey, did you eat anything this morning?"

Okayyyyy, another thing I don't really want to talk about.

"I mean I know you didn't eat dinner last night and you left early this morning and there were no dishes in the sink."

"I wasn't really hungry."

She looks at me and scowls, "after class we're going to the café and getting you some food, you have to eat something."

Curse this woman for caring about me, I'm kidding.

Its actually pretty nice to have someone looking out for you for once.

I give Callie a smile and nod that she seems to like, and we both turn back to the front to pay attention to what the teachers saying.

Class went by fast, especially with Callie making any type of comment she saw fit throughout the lesson, but I don't think she'll be that much of a distraction at the moment since the things were learning in class are relatively easy.

Callie and I are now walking down to the Café since we have a 10-minute break between our next class which she offered to show me to, after we got food.

Walking into the café there's not many options that pique interest, many of these foods I've never had before and don't look very appetizing.

I find a cookie in the baked goods section and checkout, Callie shakes her head at my choice but otherwise doesn't say anything. As we walk out I unwrap my cookie and start eating it.

When we turn the corner into the science hallway I fell eyes on me, and sure enough when I look up I see Finn staring at me, well not actually staring more like very intense scowling that will most certainly give him wrinkles.

I ignore him and keep walking with Callie, Astronomy here I come!

This is the one class I don't know anything about, with Cohen I learned biology, chemistry, physics and I was good at all of them, but I've never learned about astronomy, so I'm very excited for this class.

Callie introduces me to the teacher, Mr. B and he directs me to my seat and hands me a textbook I will need for the class.

Callie gives me a wave goodbye as she leaves the classroom, headed to her own class.

Once everyone comes into the class, he starts his lesson. I don't know anybody but apparently, I'm the most interesting thing in here judging by the people who keep turning to look at me.

So far, I really like this class, right now were studying different galaxies and how to differentiate them not based off of their physical appearance but what makes them unique, its actually quite interesting and the time in class flies by.

My last class before training is history, another class I don't know a whole lot about because it focuses on medieval times which once again wasn't something Cohen taught, but following the theme of my astrology class its so much more interesting than Cohens makeshift classes.

Lena's in this class with me and theirs no assigned seats, so I basically got dragged to sit in the back next to her which I have no problem with.

Despite Lena's hard exterior she's actually a sweetheart and I get to know her a lot during the class. The most interesting thing being the pillows on the couch with the 'I'm sorry I stole your girlfriend, but not really' saying are hers and that she's gay and has been in love with the same girl since middle school, which I find kind of cute.

According to her the girl doesn't know she exists, but I find that very hard to believe since its hard not to notice her. She also hasn't tried to hit on her or flirt since she can't tell if she's gay or not and doesn't want to ruin any potential chance of being with her for acting to soon.

I also learn that she has a thing for old movies and rarely watches something if its in color and her favorite hobbies are cooking and photography, which is why she always cooks for us and many of the photos in the living and dining room are some she took.

I'll have to look at them later.

Along with Callie I think we could be really good friends.

Class ends and Lena leaves for her training activity for the day as I head to mine, not very excited to see Jason but whatever.

Hopefully he's not as grumpy today.
