It's been two days.

Two days since I've started ignoring Finn. Two days since I've gotten not even a wink of sleep. Two days of Finn never apologizing or answering my question. Two days of this bullshit, and I'm angry.

Maybe I should be more understanding, but I just think he's disrespectful and I'm too far into it to back out now.

With that being said, I have so much anger that I need to do something with it.

Which is why I'm now leaving the headmasters office with a new mission file in hand and out the doors of the housing building and into a car.

It's the same driver as last time and I weirdly take comfort in that.

We haven't started driving yet which I find weird, but he might be waiting on an address from the headmaster to start.

I open the file and go over the mission.

Apparently, I came down to the headmaster's office just in time because he was about to give one of the mission groups this assignment.

I'm supposed to protect a very important businessman from hired assassins who have been sent to collect a hard drive with new technology worth millions and kill him.

I don't have to worry about killing the businessman because I'm set to protect him, not fight him, plus my overwhelming need to stay hidden hasn't been as strong lately.

Yay progress

It took a lot of convincing for the headmaster to give me this assignment but eventually he gave in.

I look up and see we're still in front of the housing building, I'm about to ask the driver why were being held up but the door on the other side of the car opens and a man slides in.

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

I scowl, "why the fuck are you here?"

"I could say the same to you, considering you can't even hold a gun," he scoffs.

What a fucking asshole.

"This is my mission."

"Not anymore, apparently were working as a pair."

He rolls his eyes, crosses his arms, and looks out the window.

Maybe I can accidently confuse him for one of the assassins and shoot him in the leg. I mean I know I said no killing good people but let's be honest who doesn't want to shoot Jason.

"This is stupid," I mutter

"No kidding," Jason grabs the file from my lap, and I resist the urge to slap his hand away.

I sigh and lean my head on the headrest, staring out the window.

I left to get some much-needed space from a grumpy Finn and apparently exchanged him for a grumpy Jason. I mean at least Finn can be sweet, unlike the asshole next to me.

I left when Finn fell asleep, on my bed might I add and let's just say he's going to be real angry if he wakes up and I'm not there, but who cares.

Okay maybe I care a little bit

Just a little

Its quiet the entire ride to this building but the scenery along the way is beautiful.

Eventually we pull into an allay way and Jason and I get out, opening the back to find weapons of all kinds.

I put one gun in the waistband of my pants, and a gun in the holster on my thigh and three knives in the holster on my other.

Jason also loads up on weapons and starts walking off without me, making me run after him.

"Stay out of my way, " he grunts

"You stay out of my way."

I shake my head at myself.

That was a stupid comeback.

We enter the lobby and are up the elevator and into a hotel room with two bodyguards standing inside of the entrance guns pointed at us.

Well that's not very nice.

Jason gives them a confirmation code and our names and they lower their weapons.

Happy I walk on into the room to find...... a women.

I thought we were protecting a businessman, big on the man part there.

She's in a suit sitting on the couch in the living room.

"Hello Ms. Blackfield, I'm Jason and this is Jade, were apart of your security team."

Wow suck up much.

I circle the room, surveying the area before turning on my heel and looking at the women.

"You shouldn't sit there."

The bodyguards are lowkey shit at their jobs, or they want her dead.

She looks at me confused and looks between me and Jason, "why I was told to sit here since I'm out of view from any windows."

Jason glares at me in a sort of 'what the fuck do you think your doing' type of way, but I ignore him.

I guess he's stupid too.

I point across the room to where a vanity is placed, "although you are out of the way from the windows, from the right angle someone can tell exactly where you are from the mirror and with the right gun, they can shot right through the wall and into the back of your skull."

She flinches a little at the skull part....oops

Jason rolls his eyes and crosses his arms, "really Jade, no one would actually do that."

"I would," I say with a shrug.

"Yeah right," he scoffs

I look up towards the ceiling, "there's also a vent that your less than five feet from. It would be easy for someone to kill you with where you're seated."

She stands quickly from the couch, "where should I sit then."

"You're fine where you are," Jason says sending me a death glare, "someone is just over dramatic."

I walk around the room a little more and look at different angles of the mirror before turning to her with a smile, "I would sit in that armchair in the corner, it's the safest place for you to be at the moment."

She stands there for a moment looking between me and Jason before moving to the armchair.

Good choice.

Jason approaches me and tries grabbing my arm only for me to shake out of his hold.

See no throwing him to the ground this time.

Progress.

"What do you think you're doing Jade," he grinds out.

"The mission obviously, you know you aren't the smartest tool in the shed."

He goes to probably scowled me more, but I cant hear him over the shot I just fired.

And no it was not to Jason's leg.....unfortunately.

But to the guard behind him who was texting on his phone.

Jason swiftly pulls his own gun out and turns quickly to see who I shot, finding the guard bleeding on the ground, "what the hell Jade, you're supposed to kill assassins not paid bodyguards."

"But the bodyguard is an assassin."

Jason shakes his head, muttering under his breath about how I'm such an imbecile and it was stupid for me to go on this mission as he crosses the room.

Once again, he's an asshole.

Jason stands over the body looking at the guards weapons clearly still in their holsters, "and what made you think that Jade, did he look at you wrong?" his voice drips with sarcasm.

Well yes but that's not why I shot him.

"He was telling his partner where we were located in order to get out quickly after he stole the device."

Jason narrows his eyes, "and where did you find this information Jade? Are you a mind reader know too."

I scoff, "no I just know how to read."

Jason lifts the guard and grabs the phone using the dead mans thumb to unlock it, and starts reading the messages.

He looks at me suspiciously, "how did you know this Jade."

I smile brightly up at him and make my way to the armchair next to Ms. Backfield, "the photo frame behind him gave off a lot of reflection."

Jason turns to look at the photo frame and scowls, while I lean back in the armchair.

The women next to me is quiet, she's scared shitless but is trying to hide it as best as she can.

I know that look very well.

Jason stands in a corner, hand on his gun as he keeps looking over the room.

"is he always like that," the women asks from besides me.

I turn towards her, "like what, an asshole?"

She smiles and shakes her head still staring at him, "no, dominative and sexy."

Eww I think some bile just rose up in my throat.

She looks at me with an awestruck smile, seeing the disgust on my face her own going white, "oh I'm so sorry are you guys a thing, because I didn't think so because of the way you talk to one another but I'm so sorry for ass—"

I putt my hand up in the air to stop her, her face still pale and mine still showcasing disgust, "trust me, I wouldn't touch that man with a ten-foot pole."

She lets out a relieved sigh and leans in closer to me, "do you think he'd be interested in me?"

To be honest Jason doesn't look like a man that has good taste, so probably not.

"I think anybody with a brain would be interested in you, but his brain is tiny so I don't know if its fully functional."

A smile lights her face, "that's alright I have enough brain for the both of us."

I let out a burst of laughter causing her to do the same, earning both of us a scowl from Jason.

Which makes Ms. Blackfield smile more.

This is going to be a long night.
