"Baby."

"No."

"Babyyyyy."

"Nope."

You smirked to yourself as you worked around the kitchen, putting dishes away. Your boyfriend, who made a dangerous bet that you couldn't go a full day without kissing him, was leaned against the counter sulking.

"Come on." He groaned, throwing his head back.

You snickered, throwing a dish towel at him. "You brought this on yourself."

"I didn't think you would actually follow through." He grunted, chucking the dish towel back at you.

You rolled your eyes, wiping the countertops down before draping the towel over the sink edge. The kitchen cleaned, you meandered into the living room and turned on the TV. Derek trailed after you like a distraught puppy.

You ignored him, scrolling through your phone as he shifted closer to you on the couch. He slipped his arm over your shoulders, attempting to subtly pull you flush against his side.

"Can I help you?" You giggled, looking up at him only to find your lips exceptionally close to his.

Millimeters close.

You ducked down just in time to avoid his lips connecting with yours. He huffed out an annoyed breath, the hot hair fanning your forehead.

"Babygirl, you're killing me. You can't tell me you seriously don't want to kiss me, the love of your life." He was in full on pout mode now, his bottom lip jutted out slightly.

"You're absolutely right." Your grinned, turning back up to meet his eyes and pulling his lips closer to yours once again by his chin. "I want to. The only thing keeping me from it is the love of my life who made a bad bet."

He let out a throaty groan as you released him, pushing on his chest as you stood from the couch.

"Where are you going?" He frowned.

"I have lunch with Em and Penny, remember? I've gotta go get ready." You offered him an innocent smile as you walked off towards the bedroom.

You showered, changed, and fixed your hair and makeup in record time. You had lost track of time while cleaning the kitchen and were now running a full fifteen minutes late. You sent the girls a quick text to let them know, and they said they expected as much and were perfectly content to shop while they waited for you to meet them at the mall restaurant.

"I'll be back in a couple hours." You announced as you searched the kitchen counter for your keys. You turned to see Derek holding them out for you, leaned against the doorway. "Thank you. Call me if you need me, okay?"

"You know I always need you." He said sweetly, smiling for the first time that afternoon.

You reached up and placed your hand on his cheek, scratching your manicured nails lightly over his stubble. "I love you."

"I love you too." You could tell he was fighting the urge to lean down and press his lips to yours. "Kiss goodbye?"

"Nice try, but nope." You giggled, taking your keys from his hand and marching over to your purse.

"What if something happens while you're gone?" His pouting look was back. "What if somewhere terrible happens to you or me and we never got a final kiss?"

You glared at him. "Derek Morgan. That is horrible and morbid and definitely not going to work on me."

He shrugged. "That's what you always say when we kiss goodbye. It's your point not mine."

You sighed, your resolve nearly faltering before you came up with an idea. You brought your middle and pointer finger up to your lips, kissing them lightly before pressing them to Derek's lips. You smiled at his stunned face as you quickly walked out of the house to your car.

You weren't even done with appetizers when the three of you got the text.

"A case." You all groaned in unison.

Paying quickly, you were speeding off to Quantico. You walked in to see your boyfriend along with Hotch, Spencer, and Rossi standing in the bullpen.

"We don't have much time, we'll be debriefing on the jet. Garcia, I know this isn't typical but we need you on the ground this time. Wheels up in ten." Hotch spoke, leaving the rest of you scrambling for your go bags as you prepared to leave.

"Hey, Y/N, is everything okay with Morgan?" Spencer asked, catching you by the arm.

You gave him a confused look. "I think so, why?"

Spencer frowned. "He's been grouchy ever since he got here. He even snapped at Hotch."

Your eyebrows shot up. "Oh, yikes, I think that might actually be my fault. Well, technically his fault but still. He made a bet that I couldn't go a full day without kissing him and I'm sticking to my guns. It's been frustrating him all day."

Spencer's lips formed a thin line as he nodded understandingly. "Gotcha. Good for you, sticking to it like that."

You smiled appreciatively. "Thanks, Spence."

Derek would usually never get jealous of you talking to Reid, but going so long without physical affection was really getting to him. He watched from the doorway to the bullpen with his bag slung over his shoulder, growing visibly frustrated by the second.

"L/N. Reid. Let's go." He called, his face expressionless and his voice monotone.

Your eyes snapped over to where he stood. He did not just last name you.

"Be there in a second, Morgan." You snapped. Maybe you were overreacting, but at this point he was acting like a child.

Spencer held his hands up in surrender. "I'm here for you both, but don't drag me into this battle."

You tried your best to give him a lighthearted smile as you raked a hand over his shoulder. "Thank you. Let's get going, yeah?"

The jet ride was long and the case Hotch presented was intense. There was a six year old girl missing in Seattle, and it had already been twelve hours, leaving only twelve more hours before her chances of survival became slim.

A case like that didn't leave you much time to worry about kissing your boyfriend or to be mad about his earlier behavior. You worked the case for the next fifteen hours with only a quick two hour nap sometime in between. You caught the unsub and were able to deliver the girl safely to her family, only to discover two other children he had taken buried on his property.

Needless to say by the time you retired to your hotel the following evening, you were physically and emotionally drained.

"C'mere." That's all Derek said as he sat on the edge of the bed in your shared room, his arms extended out to you.

The horrible case obviously left no room for settling the tension between the two of you the day before, so you were nearly running into his embrace. You sighed as you fumbled into his lap, allowing him to pull you up so you were straddling him with your head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry." Your murmured into the material of his shirt.

"For what?" He asked, eyebrows knitted together.

"I shouldn't have been holding out on you all day yesterday." You replied with regret lacing your tone.

He chuckled. "Babygirl, that was my fault. I made a stupid bet. You were just being the stubborn, strong willed woman that I love."

You smiled against his shoulder, relaxing into him further. Your smile faded as you spoke seriously. "It won't happen again. We're obviously never guaranteed another moment on this earth and I obviously lost sight of that. I need to kiss you and hold you at every opportunity because you just never know."

Derek sighed, clutching your body tighter against his. "I couldn't agree more."

You leaned back just enough to see his face, looking deeply into his eyes before connecting your lips to his. It was slow and soft and oh so meaningful. Like kissing him for the first time all over again.

"I've missed you." You whispered against his lips.

He smiled against yours and pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against you. "Missed you too. No more stupid bets, promise."

"Sounds good to me." You grinned, biting your lip before diving in for another kiss.

And what were you to do with this sacred time alone except make up for all the lost kisses?
