It really wasn't your fault that you had been struggling to pay attention all day.

If Luke would just tuck those stupid pieces of silver under his incredibly tight muscle tee then...nope, it wouldn't make it better. Not in the slightest.

You were certain by now, especially thanks to Emily's drunken announcement at the Christmas party, that everyone knew how you felt about Agent Alvez. Except for him. He wasn't at the Christmas party and he was pretty oblivious for the hunky man that he was.

"Okay, is there something on my face?"

The deep baritone voice snapped you out of your thoughts and you met his amused chocolate brown eyes.

No, I was just wishing your dog tags were dangling in my face as we-

"Oh, no, sorry. Just lost in thought," you shrugged, shaking the alternative thoughts out of your head.

Obviously it wasn't just the dog tags that attracted you to Luke. Everything from his strong, sturdy build to his full, petal pink lips and dark scruff made him simply mouth watering. Not to mention the fact that he was sarcastic and had a fantastic sense of humor, both of which made him nearly irresistible.

He was also kind and nurturing, a side you saw when he was taking care of Roxie, his sweet German shepherd baby, or when he was meeting with victim's families. He was all around just such a genuine guy, which drew you to him from the moment you met him.

The dog tags? Just a bonus that happened to make you incredibly turned on. Especially when you were in a 99 degree desert state and he had a slight sheen of sweat, and his dark sunglasses on, and his shirt that clung a little tighter to his shoulders and chest...

You shook your head.

The crush you had on him was borderline embarrassing now, and you were confident he couldn't feel the same way about you.

A smile tugged at the corners of Luke's lips, "And what might you be so lost in thought about in that pretty head? From the look on your face I don't think you're thinking about our murderous unsub."

You hadn't realized you had some kind of dreamy, blissed out look on your face until he pointed it out, snapping you back to reality. Your face flushed at his words.

"I- uh, it's really nothing."

It's really nothing? That's the best you could come up with?

With the others ahead of you investigating the scene, you and Luke were left on the sidelines for the moment, virtually alone, waiting for information to come through from Garcia. He moved closer to you, leaning down slightly, making his dog tags dangle slightly at the angle. You almost lost your train of thought again.

"If I didn't know any better, sweet, I would say you're thinking about me," he said lowly with a now devilish grin.

Your heart and your core clenched at the nickname, sweet. Your eyes frantically surveyed his face, wondering what he was up to. He was probably messing with you, but you couldn't think straight with his face so deliciously close to yours.

"Yeah," you squeaked, before clamping a hand down over your mouth. Shit, you said that out loud.

He smirked in triumph, "Mhm, thought so. Wanna tell me what exactly you were thinking?"

He was so close to you now you could feel his breath, but the closeness wasn't awkward or uncomfortable. Your body keened at it, craving the closeness instead of rejecting it out of embarrassment like you expected.

You struggled to formulate a coherent thought, trying to decide if you should lie and keep things professional or continue on with this little game.

Screw it, you're already in this deep.

"Y-your dog tags," you admitted breathily, barely above a whisper, "They're, uh, distracting."

He chuckled at that, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before leaning in, "Is that so?"

"Mmhm," you whined, back arching at the feeling of his lips now connected to the skin right under your ear, your eyes fighting to stay open to make sure no one was around to see you, even though you were hidden safely behind the SUV.

His hands reached up to his own neck as he trailed light kisses down your throat, removing his dog tags in one swift motion and placing them over your head instead. He moved your hair out of the way of the silver chain as he gently pulled the neckline of your shirt forwards and let the dog tags drop beneath it, concealing them. The feeling of the cool, smooth silver pressed against your chest almost caused your brain to malfunction.

Maybe you had had a heat stroke and were in a coma in the hospital right now. That was the only reasonable explanation for the feeling of Luke's hands at your waist right now and his lips ghosting back up to your ear.

"Meet me at my room tonight, yeah?" He breathed hotly against your skin, before moving so his lips were almost touching yours, "I wanna hear more about how much I distract you later..."

He gave the chain around your neck a slight tug before he pulled away, standing a respectful distance just in time for Matt and Emily to come around the corner of the vehicle.

The world was spinning at a dizzying speed as you tried to figure out what had just happened.

Super short, I know, I just wanted to gauge the interest in Luke Alvez content? I think I could definitely do a part two to this, I personally love Luke and think he has so many aspects as a character I could write for, but it's up to y'all and what you think!

Also! Ladies, gents, and nonbinarys, this is the 69th chapter!🥳🤪

Another also! I had someone mention in the comments of a previous chapter that they would be interested in me writing for Emily Prentiss? I myself am straight but I would be more than happy to write some for my favorite criminal minds lady if anyone else is interested. Just let me know!
