Running.

That's what I'm doing.

A shot hit the tree I just passed. I looked behind me and saw the SWAT team chasing me. I tripped and rolled down a hill. I face-planted in a pile of mud.

"Fuck my life...", I got up and started running again.

Where the fuck did those three run at!?

-2 hours earlier-

Y/n's pov

I got back from scouting the mansion and getting stuff for Slender. I dropped the backpack off on his desk.

"Thank you, Y/n",

"No problem", I stood there, contemplating if I should ask him. He stopped mixing some things in a glass bottle.

"You can ask anything, go ahead", I looked at him before sitting on the chair in front of him.

"So... when are we... gonna be able to meet the others? It's been 3 weeks since we've seen them...",

"Until they've all reached the safe zone",

"You keep saying until they reach the 'safe zone' but what even is that? And why couldn't you just teleport them there!?", he gently placed the glass bottles down and sighed.

"I used a lot of my power sealing the gates, right now I'm useless and cannot do much other than try to hold back the government and demons that come here", right...

"Sorry...", I still feel responsible for what happened.

"No need to apologize, no one would have expected that to happen, it wasn't your fault", I just sighed and nodded. Slender put his hand on my shoulder. "Try not to think to much on it, go rest",

I listened and went to my shared bedroom with Jeff and Ben. I saw them both playing poker. Doggo pranced up to me and sat on my feet while looking up at me.

"Hey buddy", I squished his cheeks. Hunter hugged me from behind.

"You want to play with us?",

"Nah, just gonna watch you guys play", I flopped onto my bed and watched them play.

After a bit of Ben raging, everything got quiet when Smile and Doggo started growling. All of us looked at each other before grabbing our weapons.

We walked into the living room and slowly made our way to the front door.

Then it happened...

The window broke and something landed in the living room. A flashing light blinded all of us.

"SLENDER!!", I heard another thump, then an explosion followed by a dog yelp. I fell back and landed on the table. I tried forcing myself to look.

Everything is blurry. Where's Doggo? Is everyone ok?

I started making out shapes. I got up immediately and went to what looked like Doggo. He was whimpering.

"Hey... it's ok bud... don't worry...", my vision finally got better.

"GET IN!!", I immediately picked up Doggo when I heard that. I heard marching coming towards us.

Once I passed the by the proxies room, a dresser was pushed down as a barricade. We all went in Slender's room as Hoodie was shooting at the SWAT members.

I placed Doggo down and checked his wound. He was bleeding on his side and some of his fur was singed.

"Fuck... don't worry buddy... we'll get you help soon...", I let out a shaky breath while putting my jacket around his wound. "Can we do anything, Slender!? Do you have anything!?",

"No",

"C'mon Slender! Anything!? Please!", I got up and looked around.

"I have enough power to get 3 people out of here, only 3", I looked at him and then at Doggo.

"Please take him with you Slender... please...", Slender crouched down next to Doggo and looked at the rest of us.

"Who else is going?",

"Y/n...?", I shook my head.

"Ben and Jeff",

"Why the fuck are we gonn-", I cut Jeff off.

"Me, Masky and Hoodie are the only ones with guns! You two go, we'll run when we get the chance!", I pushed the two of them with Slender.

"We're not just gonna leave you guys!!",

"Slender can only take 3 people and and we need to get Doggo out of here!",

"But-", Hoodie slammed the door shut and broke the window. I got my backpack from Slender's desk.

"Shut the fuck up and go!", me, Masky, Smile and Hoodie started jumping out. I saw Slender teleport them out of here. We ran as fast as we could out of there.

We could hear the SWAT members running after us.

"We need to split up!!",

"Y/n!! Once you get out of here!! Go to Missouri!!",

"Missouri!?",

"There's a bunker there! That's the safe zone! Everyone will be there! Now get the fuck out of here!!!", I started running the opposite way from them.

-present time-

Masky said Missouri! Missouri where though!? Fuck!

I fell down when my leg was shot. I got up and started running again.

I'm so fucking lucky I can't feel pain!

Hours, I've been running for hours now. I need to stop. Now.

I've been running for so long. I need to take a break. My lungs will literally burst if they don't take a break. I looked around and sighed when I didn't see or hear anyone.

I slid down on the ground while panting. Gotta calm my breathing. I put my hand on my chest, my heart is beating like crazy. I'll just wait here for a bit, until my heart beat slows down.

I opened my bag to see what I had. Half dranken water bottle, some ammo, bag of potato chips, few knives, a box, a notebook and a pen. I sighed and took a few sips of water and got the box out.

I opened it and saw a few of Slenders potions. I closed it and got the notebook and pen out. I need to write a note down for me.

Get to Missouri and find the
bunker or the 'safe zone'

I put it away and got my gun out. I caught my breath for a little more before walking towards a random direction.

Actually...

Something doesn't feel right...

I started looking around.

"Hunter?", where is he at? I can't try to shout his name, it's gonna attract attention. Shit...

I got up and started walking. I looked down at my leg and it's wound already healed up.

Off in the distance, I started hearing a lot of gunshots. I started running again, they're distracted over there, now is my chance to go.

But what are they shooting at?

I stopped running. I turned around to look behind me.

Who are they shooting at?

Shit. Now is my chance to run but what if they're shooting at Smile? Masky? Hoodie?

No, let me think about this. Smile would be able to get away easily. Masky and Hoodie know these woods and they'd be pissed if I went back just to try to help them.

It's fine, I don't have to go back. I'll listen to Masky and get to Missouri. I turned around and started running again.

I don't know where this safe zone is that, I don't know where the others are at, I don't know if Doggo will be fine and I don't know if I'll be able to make it but, I'll just have to wait and see.

I may be alone right now but at least I have the others waiting for me somewhere else.
