Y/n's pov

I had my head leaning on Doggo while he was on my lap, my face having a bored look on it as I let Lazari and Sally paint my nails. All three of us had face masks and Shrek was playing on the TV. I looked down and saw my nails being painted in a rainbow style. I'm kinda surprised to since these are little kids but they seem a lot more professional.

"Break time!", they both put away the nail polish and started drinking tea. We all looked at the door when there was a knock on it.

"Hey girls, I brought sna-", Jane stopped mid sentence and stared at me. I nodded my head and looked back at the TV. "Pfft, what are you doing?",

"Chilling with the kids, what else?", she chuckled and placed a tray of snacks next to Sally. Lazari gave me an apple slice to eat.

Hunter came floating in with some more snacks. He placed it next to Lazari and smiled at me.

"How long for this to dry?",

"One to two hours", I sighed and just kept watching Shrek. "You also said you'd let us dye your hair!",

"I-I mean!! I said maybe!!", I looked away from their pouting faces. I don't want them mad at me! I looked around the room and stopped on Jane. "Jane said she'd let you guys!",

"Really!!", they both ran up to her.

"Wait-",

"She'd love a hot pink!",

"That's exactly the color we have!!", they both jumped happily. They grabbed her hands and took her to the bathroom. I laughed and leaned my head back onto the bed.

Hunter looked at me too. He looks upside-down from my view. I reached out to touch his face only for my hand to go through him. He smiled and grabbed my hand.

It feels cold...

I looked at his eyes and then chuckled. I pointed at his blind eye and then mine.

"We're matching", he stared at me for a bit before smiling and holding my hand tighter while aggressively nodding. The more I think about it, I guess I haven't really looked at Hunter carefully.

His burned side stretches out to his entire right side. Half his mouth is burned showing some of his teeth. His eye is a white hue. I looked at his other side. His left eye was a light green color. Light peach colored skin with a tint of red on it. I looked at his hair and smiled. It's really messy and long.

"Sorry...", eh? The fuck did I just say? I blinked a few times before looking away.

Slowly, I felt him hug me. I didn't try pushing him away or try to hug him back. I stayed still and looked at the ceiling.

This feels familiar...

Oh yeah. I remember. It'd still be like this, he'd hug me while I just stood there.

I chuckled and pet Doggo's head. Theirs some things that just never change. I flinched when I heard laughing. The bathroom door burst open and the girls came running out while giggling. They were covered in pink hair dye.

"Where's Jane?", Jane slowly walked out with wet pink hair. She angrily looked at me and sighed. I smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up.

"Looking good", she flipped me off and started drying her hair in a towel. A sudden knock on the door made me stand up. I opened the door and saw Masky and Hoodie. "Yeah?",

"Get cleaned up, we're having a meeting. I nodded and closed the door.

"Sorry girls, fun times over", they both awed and pouted. "Cute pouts won't help either", they awed again and started putting things away. I cleaned my face and ruffled my hair.

At least I was able to distract them from the war a bit.

I left with Doggo and Hunter. I looked around the halls for a bit before stopping. I looked at Hunter.

"You know the way around this way?", he nodded and pointed towards a hallway. I let him lead the way. I saw lots of paintings. Some of flowers and roses, some of Offender, etc.

One painting did stand out. A painting of a one lonely girl. She was holding a red rose while crying. Strange.

After a bit of more walking, we were back into the living room. I saw as one girl was with Offender. I slowly listened in.

"Master, there's no more clothes me! All of them arebeing used now",

"Oh dear, that's an issue", he was petting her head. I sighed and took off my jacket. I put it on her head and walked towards the couch and sat down. "Thank you dear~",

"Sure", the girl put on the jacket and looked at me. She smiled then covered her mouth a bit. "So, what are we gonna talk about?",

"Y/n, will you accept our first option", I groaned and slouched on the couch.

"Fine, y'all owe me something!", I pointed at him and crossed my arms.

"Yes yes, we'll establish everyone's position", I zoned everyone out and looked around the room.

I'm gonna die, I know I'm gonna die, I think I'm gonna die, am I gonna die?

I interlocked my fingers and looked at the ground.

Am I really doing this? Am I really gonna be in a war with demons? That's sounds pretty fucking cool but, makes me sound crazy too. Did I make wrong life choices? Maybe I shouldn't have burned the orphanage? Nah, that place was ass, definitely deserved it. I'mma die a virgin. Wait, that means I'm a good child, yeah, I was always safe. Maybe I should've taken that chihuahua I found one day. Nah, Jane would've told me to take it back.

"y....", should I get Tinder?

"Y....", Nah, Tinder sucks.

"Y/n",

"Hmm?", I looked up at everyone. "Yeah?",

"What are you doing?",

"Thinking about how good of a child I am",

"That's bullshit",

"I know that but I like to tell myself I'm a good child",

"Well, did you listen at all?", I shook my head.

"We're starting this tomorrow, ever better be ready and Y/n...",

"Yeah?",

"...I'll let you decide how you'll distract him, I believe you can think of a way and try not to die", he had his hand on my shoulder. I smiled and nodded.

"I got you guys! I'll think of something!", I grinned. He nodded and dismissed us. Hunter walked me to a room. I closed the door and then flopped onto the bed.

I rolled over to my back and stared at the ceiling. I laughed and looked at Hunter.

"I can't think of anything, we're fucking screwed", I whispered to him.
