German Empire / Second Reich || Male

German Empire was just finishing a plate of Schnitzel when there was a knock at his door. This Country made no move to get up, as he felt he didn't need to. A minute passed when the door was knocked on again. This time there was a specific rhythm to the knocking. German Empire calmly stood up and put his plate in the sink so it was out of the way. He then made his way to the front door. Upon opening it, he was met with one of his close friends; Austria-Hungary.

"Sekunde! Guten Morgen!" (Second! Good Morning)

Ah. Yes. It was little Austria-Hungary. A rather cheerful lad. Always managed to put an ease on German Empire's mind, though he would never tell the other. "Whose at the door?" A young voice suddenly called out. It was Germany. He peaked his head out of the doorframe, and saw that it was Austria-Hungary. Not wanting to talk, Germany quipped a small "Morgen," (morning) and trotted back to his room. If Third Reich found out the young country was out of his quarters so early in the day, it wouldn't end well for anyone.

After Germany had left, Second Reich tuned his attention back to the short Austria-Hungary. The short country was always a ball of energy. So happy and energetic. "I was wondering if we could go on a walk? Bitte?" (Please) Austria-Hungary asked, rocking back and forth on the balls of their feet. Their eyes were hopeful for German Empire's response. "Natürlich" (Of course), Second finally replied. He didn't really have to think about it though. He didn't have much planned for the day; and if he stayed at home, he would have to sit through Third Reich screaming about how awful Great Britain was, and how he wished America and the Soviet Union to be dead.

Anything was better than that.

German Empire and Austria-Hungary left the huge house. They walked down the sidewalk for ten minutes, with Austria-Hungary talking about a friend they made with one of the younger CountryHumans. They had befriended Canada, and seemed to be really happy about it. This made German Empire relaxed. He always loved to see Austria-Hungary's smile. Unbeknownst to him, the shorter country had a surprise for the German Empire today.

The two entered a small park. This park had a brick road in a windy path through a few acres of land. There were trees, flowers, and a few benches littered throughout the park. As it was so early in the morning, not many other CountryHuman's were there at all. Most were sleeping the morning away. There was a small breeze this morning. One that blew through Second's hair and made it look both fluffy and angelic. Austria-Hungary made the mistake of peering their green eyes at German Empire when a breeze was there. They were stunned at their friend's looks.

They looked down, a small blush on their face.

And then they remembered why they asked German Empire to walk with them this morning.

As the two got about halfway through the park, Austria-Hungary decided this would be a good time to do what they needed. The short country stopped walking, with German Empire doing the same. "Van valamim számodra..." (I have something for you) Austria-Hungary fumbled around as they dug around in their pants pockets. They were looking for something, that much was clear. A moment later, they pulled out a folded letter. With a light blush still littering their face, they handed the letter to German Empire.

The curious German took the letter and opened it. He read it throughly, not changing his facial expressions throughout the entire thing. This is when Austria-Hungary had second doubts. What if German Empire rejected what was asked of him? What if he ripped the letter and walked away? What if he ignored Austria-Hungary for the rest of their days? What if-

German Empire walked towards Austria-Hungary and leaned down so he was closer to their head. The height difference between the two was adorable. Without saying another word, German Empire placed a small kiss to Austria-Hungary's forehead. His gold eyes shined with a fondness for the shorter Country. Taking that as a positive sign, the shorter country jumped for joy. They were ecstatic! They grabbed onto German Empires hand, and started rambling about how nervous they were about the whole ordeal. They two continued on their walk, hands laced together, and hearts beating as one.
