"Come on, babe, don't be sad." Canaan pulled me into his lap, holding me tightly.

I sighed into his chest, "I don't want you to go."

"I know, but I gotta. It's my job." I sighed again, but didn't say anything. I just held him tighter. I felt him place a kiss on the top of my head, "Let's do something. Make my last night before tour amazing." I pulled away from him and stared into his eyes. He grinned down at me, "Let's make it all about tonight. No worries about tomorrow. Just tonight." I pursed my lips and nodded. He jumped up from the couch, pulling me with him. "What should we do?"

I giggled, "I don't know. This was your idea."

He stared down at me, his chin resting in his hand and eyes squinted in thought, "Hm." I watched him as he opened his mouth, about to speak, but thought better of it and closed his mouth again.

I laughed and took his hand, "Come on." I pulled him to the front door, grabbing our coats on the way out.

He took his coat from my hands and put it on, "Where are we going?"

"You'll see." I winked at him and took his hand again, leading him down our driveway and onto the sidewalk. The sun had already set, so it was dark and a little chilly, but we continued walking. I shivered a little and Canaan took his hand from mine and wrapped his arm around my shoulders instead. I cuddled into his side, a grin spreading across my face. We went on walking, Canaan pulling goofy faces and telling jokes to make me laugh.

After some time had passed, Canaan stopped walking and looked at me, "Okay, where are we going?"

I grinned up at him, "I don't know. I figured we would just walk around the neighborhood." He shook his head and laughed. I pulled on his arm, trying to get him to start walking again, but he wouldn't budge. He just stood there, looking down at me with a stupid smile on his face. I laughed, "Why are you looking at me like that?" He shook his head and started dancing around the sidewalk, pulling my hands, trying to get me to join him. I watched him with amused eyes, "What are you doing?"

He pulled me close and swung us around, "Dancing."

He swung me out and I laughed again, "Why?"

"Because I wanna dance with you."

I spun around, "But there's no music."

He grinned, "And when has that ever stopped me?" I laughed and let him spin me around on the sidewalk, not thinking about tomorrow or the fact that he was leaving. My only thought being of tonight.
