I waved to Kane as my mom buckled him into his car seat, "Be good for grandma and grandpa." Kane nodded and waved back. I blew him a kiss, "Momma will see you later." He waved again as my mom pulled away and shut the car door. She turned to me and engulfed me in a hug.

Laughing, I patted her shoulder, "Can't breathe." She chuckled and pulled away. "Thanks for the help, ma."

She nodded, "Of course." She turned to look at Kane quickly, "Anything for the little guy." He grinned at her and she waved. I laughed again and nudged her towards the driver's seat. I waved at the car as it backed out of the driveway and took off down the street. Once it was out of sight, I checked my watch. Plenty of time. Grinning, I ran back into the house and started to clean it, top to bottom.

After I had finished cleaning the house, I noticed the time and bolted to my car. His plane would be landing soon and I didn't want to make him wait at the airport too long. I drove quickly to the pick up terminal and watched all the people exiting the building. I jumped from the car as soon as I saw his face. He grinned at me, catching me as I threw myself into his arms. He laughed, "I missed you too, baby." He spun me around once before putting me back on my feet.

I pulled away from him, "I missed you so much." He smiled and gave me a quick kiss before picking his bag up from where he dropped it and putting it in the trunk of the car. I hopped back in the driver's side and once we were both buckled, we made our way home.

Dustin grabbed his bag after we pulled into the driveway and slung his arm over my shoulders as we walked inside. We collapsed onto the couch together, Dustin's arm still around me. "Where's Kane?"

I leaned my head on his shoulder, "He's with my parents. They should be back within the hour."

"I missed him so much." Dustin looked down at me, "I missed both of you."

I smiled up at him, "We missed you too." We sat cuddled up on the couch for a while before I heard a car pull into the driveway. "There he is." I grinned at my husband and jumped up, heading out onto the porch. My mom had unbuckled Kane and was carrying him towards me. It was then that I realized he was crying. I took him from my mom's arms, "What's wrong, baby?"

Kane wrapped his tiny arms around my neck, "I miss daddy."

My mom leaned over and kissed Kane's head, "It's okay, sweetie." I gave her a smile before turning my attention back to the crying toddler.

"Grandma's right." Kane only shook his head. I let out a chuckle before bringing him inside. I walked around the corner to the living room, where Dustin was standing with a huge smile on his face.

"Hey, buddy, why are you crying?" Kane's head shot up and his tears immediately stopped. Dustin laughed and walked over to us. Kane practically leaped from my arms and into Dustin's. I laughed and wiped away the few tears that had rolled down my cheeks. Dustin held Kane tightly, rocking him back and forth and whispering comforting words into his ear.
