I walked into work with my green tea and bagel, super excited about getting to eat the toasted goodness. I wasn't even at my desk for two seconds when my boss came over, "Lola! Get ready to kiss the ground that I walk on." She perched herself on the side of my desk and smirked down at me.

I laughed, "Why on earth would I do that?"

"Because we have a super special guest coming in for an interview today and I decided that you get to conduct said interview."

I jumped up, "Tilly, are you serious? Thank you so much!" I'd been writing articles at Country Sounds for almost a year now and I had never done a real interview. I clapped my hands together, "This is amazing! Who am I interviewing?"

She pursed her lips, "If I told you now then I would miss the shocked look on your face when he walks in here later." She smirked again and got to her feet,"I wouldn't want to deprive myself, and everyone else, of that." She started to walk back to her office. 3...2...1. "Okay, I'll tell you." Tilly rushed back over, "You ready?" I nodded and she let out a breath, "Okay. Today you will be interviewing...Kip. Moore." My eyes widened and I forgot how to breathe.

"You're kidding." She shook her head, her smile widening. I jumped up and down, "No way. This is the best thing to ever happen to me."

Tilly started jumping with me, "I knew you were going to love this assignment."

I stopped jumping, "I do. Thank you so much for the opportunity, Tils. I really appreciate it."

She nudged my shoulder, "Don't mention it. Your articles are amazing. You deserve it." I smiled. Tilly motioned to her office, "I've got some work to do. Your interview is at noon and it's in studio 2. Marv is your cameraman and Kelly and Jake are doing sound. They'll be looking for you at like 11:30, so have your questions ready by then. Kelly will have your game ready. I think Joel is still working out what he wants." She turned back to me, "And, Lola, don't worry. You'll nail it." She grinned and waved, "I'll try to pop in during the interview." I sat down at my desk and pulled out a pad and pen. Sliding off my shoes, I got to work. What to ask?

At 11:15 I slid my shoes back on and and ran to studio 2. Kelly saw me first and smiled, "Hey, Lola! Congrats on the interview. You'll do great."

"Thanks. I'm a little nervous."

Kelly rested her hand on my shoulder, "It'll be great." She motioned to the couch, "Sit over there for a minute. Marv wants frame the shot." I nodded and went over to the couch. Kelly started playing with some wires, "Okay, so Joel has decided that you'll be playing two truths and a lie, so we have that all set up. Better start thinking of some facts about yourself."

Marv walked over with his camera, "Hey, Lola. Congrats." I smiled and waited as he held up the camera and made some adjustments, "You excited?"

Kelly laughed, "Of course she is. She loves Kip Moore." I could feel my face heat up and Kelly only continued to laugh, "You better hope your face isn't that red when he gets here."

I threw my pen at her, "Shut up."

She laughed and threw the pen back, "Marv, you done?" He nodded, so Kelly motioned towards me, "Come here, Lola." She handed me a microphone, "We're gonna keep it simple today." I nodded and looked at the clock. 11:50. He should be here any minute now.

I looked around, "Hey, where's Jake? Tilly said he was doing sound with you."

Kelly sighed, "I have no idea where that man is, but he better get here in the next five seconds."

"It's just right through here." Kelly and I turned to see Jake walking through the door, followed by a couple of people. Jake led the small group of people over to us, "This is Kelly," he motioned over to Marv, "That's our cameraman, Marv." The group turned back to me, "And this is Lola. She'll be conducting the interview." The men nodded and one stepped forward. My breath caught in my throat.

He stretched out a hand, "Hi, I'm Kip. Nice to meet you."

I shook his hand, " I know." I quickly backtracked, "I mean I already know who you are. It's nice to meet you too." He smiled and I motioned to the couch, "Do you want to sit and then we can get started?" He nodded and took the microphone that Kelly offered him and then the two of us sat down.

Kip and I talked for a while about his album and his tour. Once I had asked all my questions, I motioned for Kelly to hand me the markers and whiteboards, "Okay, Kip, you up for a game?"

He grinned, "Always."

"Excellent. Have you ever played two truths and a lie?"

Kip chuckled, "I have not."

"Well it's pretty self explanatory." I handed him a board and a marker, "Take a minute to think of two true facts about yourself and a lie and write them down. I'll do the same and then we each have to guess what the lie is. Sound good?"

He nodded, "Let's go." I sat for a few minutes trying to think about two interesting facts about myself. I sneaked a glance at Kip. He had the marker in his mouth and he looked to be in a deep concentration. I giggled quietly.

After a few minutes I put my marker down, "Ready?" Kip scribbled down a few more words and then looked up and nodded.

"You go first."

I took a breath, "Okay." I held up my whiteboard so he could see it, "One, I once spilled an entire 20 oz. iced tea on Blake Shelton."

Kip laughed, "Oh no. That doesn't sound good."

I chuckled, "It's not. Two, I sing in the shower every night. And three, I have 2 dogs, Misty and Milo."

Kip stared at me while he rubbed his chin, "Spilled iced tea on Blake Shelton? That's too crazy to make up. That has to be true." I shrugged and pursed my lips. He stared at me, "Singing in the shower?" I nodded. He pursed his lips, "What do you sing?"

"Everything."

"Everything? You sing my songs?"

I nodded, "I do sometimes."

Kip laughed, "I don't think you have 2 dogs."

"I don't have 2 dogs? That's your answer?"

He nodded and leaned towards me, "Yeah, that's my answer."

I smirked, "Well you would be right. I don't have 2 dogs. I wish I did though." Kip threw his fist up in the air. I laughed, "All right, hot shot. Your turn."

He fiddled with his microphone, "I don't know I think I need to hear this Blake Shelton story."

I groaned, "Do I have to?" He nodded. I sighed, "He was in the studio one day and this was back when I had only been here for a couple of weeks, and I had gone out to get lunch for everyone. I came back and everyone was running around and I ran right into him and the iced tea I was carrying just went everywhere." Kip was laughing by now and I could feel my cheeks heating up, "Your turn."

Kip held up his board and cleared his throat, "Alright. One, I can't get that Blake Shelton story out of my head, man." I shook my head and he continued, "One, I can do a standing back tuck. Two, I hate Krispy Kreme donuts. And three, today I met the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." I stared at him with narrowed eyes.

"You definitely don't hate Krispy Kreme donuts. That's just crazy."

He laughed, "That is crazy. I love Krispy Kreme donuts."

I threw my hands up, "Yes! Oh, wait, I wanna hear about this woman you met." I nudged him with my elbow and wiggled my eyebrows, "Did you talk to her? Get her number?"

He chuckled and looked down, "No number yet, but I'm actually talking to her right now." He looked up and I blushed. I could hear Kelly giggling and Jake telling her to shut up.

I stared at Kip for a minute before I grinned, "Stop. You're making me blush." I over dramatically hid my fave behind my hand. Kip laughed. I turned back to the camera, "Well this has been quite the interview." I turned back to Kip, "Thank you so much for joining us. It was a real pleasure to get to talk with you."

Kip nodded, "No problem. I loved it." He grinned as Marv called cut and Kelly came over to retrieve our microphones. She gave me a wink as she stalked off and left Kip and I alone.

I held my hand out, "It really was nice to meet you. Love your music and I'm excited for the next album."

He took my hand, "Thank you. Listen, I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, but that was me flirting with you. Not so smooth, I know, but that's all I got."

I laughed, "It's okay. I'm fine and it was kind of cute."

"So did you want to grab some lunch?"

I nodded, "Yeah, that sounds perfect. I promise not to spill any iced tea on you."

He laughed, "I appreciate that."
