"Oh my god, please stop looking at every car we pass."

"Sadie, it's a '68 Charger and it's mint." I pushed my sunglasses to the top of my head and bent down to check out the interior, " Do you know how rare it is to find one in this condition?" Sadie scoffed as I stood back up and held my hands out, "It's beautiful. I could stare at it all day."

Sadie grabbed my arm and pulled me, "Oh no you won't. Chloe and Jen are waiting for us and we are not going to be late because of your car thing." I stumbled over my feet, struggling to keep up with the crazy blonde next to me. Once we were far enough away from the Charger, she let up on my arm and I was able to walk normally. Unfortunately for Sadie I didn't walk for much longer because as soon as my eyes landed on the green beauty to my right, I was gone. I stepped closer, almost in a trance, and sighed.

"This is the most gorgeous van I have ever seen."

Sadie groaned and stomped back towards me, "Cal, let's go. Stop with the cars, please?"

I shook my head, "Just hang on one second. This is beautiful." I leaned in close and looked through the windows, "Oh the interior is amazing." I turned back to my friend, "Sadie, come look at this."

"I'm good."

"I love these old Volkswagens. So cool." I walked around the front of the van, admiring it, "You know, this looks just like the van that Jake Owen bought."

Sadie grumbled, "Why am I not surprised that you know that."

I laughed, "Well it does. I'm so jealous."

"Well that's just silly." I jumped at the sound of a new voice and turned to see a man with short hair, carrying a grocery bag, "No need to be jealous."

My jaw dropped, "You're Jake Owen."

He nodded and laughed, "So you like the van?"

I nodded and turned back to the vehicle in front of me, "I love it. These old vans are so cool." Jake opened up the door and threw his bag into the back.

He looked back at me, "Did you want to go for a ride?"

I looked back at Sadie and then turned my attention to Jake, "I don't know. My mom did always say to never get into a van with a strange man."

Jake chuckled, "What about sort of strangers with really sweet Volkswagens?"

I bobbed my head, contemplating, "Well... she didn't say anything about sort of strangers, so... yeah, that would be cool."

He grinned and looked to Sadie, "Did your friend want to come too?"

Sadie smirked at the two of us, "I'm not as in love with this thing as she is, so I'll pass." She turned on her heel and waved over her shoulder, "Have fun you two."I giggled as I felt a blush creeping over my cheeks.

Jake stepped around and pulled open the passenger side door, "Shall we?"

I took his outstretched hand and let him help me into the van, "We shall." He smiled as he shut the door and ran back to the drivers side. He hopped in and started the car. I sighed, "I love that engine roar." I sat up and looked over at him, "Oh, I'm Cali, by the way."

He stuck his hand out, "Nice to meet you." I shook his hand and turned my attention to the road. Jake hummed, "Where to?"

I shrugged, "You're the one driving."

He nodded, "I got the perfect place." He looked over and winked. I blushed.

We drove down the open road with the windows down and the breeze blowing in. The radio played a soft melody and Jake and I talked about music and cars. It wasn't long before Jake was pulling up to the shoreline. He pointed out to the skyline, "Check out that sunset."

I looked to where he pointed and nodded, "It's beautiful."

"The second most beautiful thing I've seen all day." I looked over to see him looking at me with a soft smile on his lips. I blushed and looked down. Jake cleared his throat, "So, Cali, I was thinking maybe we could go out sometime."

I looked up at him and grinned, "I'd like that."
