Liam

I slide my fingers inside her panties and gasp. She is so fucking wet. It's amazing how her body responds to my touch. She is already squirming and whimpering beneath me.

The fact that no one else has ever touched her like this pleases me way more than it should. I slip my fingers under her shirt and find a nipple. I give a little pinch, and she cries out, bucking her hips against my fingers. I want to see her. All of her. But I know she isn't comfortable enough, and I don't want to push her. She isn't confident in her skin, but I have no idea why. She has the sexiest body I have ever laid eyes on.

I apply more pressure with my fingers, and she starts writhing. When her body starts to quicken, I still my movement.

Her eyes fly open, and I see the question in them. Her vulnerability makes my heart ache, and this feeling is completely new.

"I want to try something," I tell her softly.

She frowns.

"I want to taste you."

She audibly gasps, and her breathing instantly gets more labored. I can tell she is really turned on, but she's also afraid. She looks at me with a mixture of lust and fear. Her honey-blonde hair is sprawled across the pillow like a halo above her head, her big green eyes wild, lips slightly parted. Fuck! She is sexy.

I once made the mistake of being with a girl that had little experience, and it led to unrealistic expectations. After that, I made sure to avoid girls like that because they craved intimacy. Something I couldn't provide. I liked it with no strings attached. Quick and meaningless, having a mutual understanding that I wouldn't care about what happened to them once it was over. But with Jess, I find myself wanting to be gentle. I don't want to scare her away. I want her to know how much her trust means to me. She is pure, and I don't want to taint her in any way.

"Are you okay with me doing this?" I ask, not wanting to do something she isn't ready for.

She stares at me for a few seconds with uncertainty and finally nods, blushing a deep shade of red. Her innocence both baffles and beguiles me.

I can't hide my smile as I kiss her trembling lips.

"Just relax. Okay? You can tell me at any time if you want me to stop."

She nods and squeezes her eyes shut.

"Open your eyes, baby. I want you to watch." I tell her, and her eyes fly open.

I lift her shirt up to the hem of her bra and kiss down her smooth stomach. When I get to the hem of her panties, I scoot further down and spread her legs apart. I kiss the inside of her thighs, and her head falls back.

"Eyes open." I remind her as I slide her panties down.

I look at her, and my heart feels like it is about to explode. This is a familiar situation but an entirely new experience. I don't think I have ever been this turned on in my whole entire life.

Jessica

I see his head dip between my legs and feel his tongue there. I instinctively want to close my legs, but his hands are prying them apart. I throw my head back with a moan, and my breath starts coming out in short pants. The image of his dark hair between my legs is enough to bring me closer to the edge. When it gets too much, my hands grab a fist full of his hair. But I don't know whether to push him away or pull him closer. He increases his pace, and I tug at his hair, causing him to groan against me. I delight at the sound, and it sends sweet little vibrations through out my body. I do it again, and he groans. That is when it happens, I feel my legs start to shake, and it is impossible to keep my eyes open.

"Liam." I moan as my vision blurs, and I push his head away because I can't handle more.

When I finally catch my breath and open my eyes, he is on top of me, balancing himself on each of his elbows not to crush me beneath his weight. He pushes my damp hair out of my face.

"Did you like that?" His eyes are uncertain, nervous.

This is a side of Liam I don't get to see often. He usually exudes confidence in everything he does. The three-letter words, once again make their way to the tip of my tongue. And this time, it's even harder than before to shove them back down.

I nod and cover my face with my hands to hide my smile. He prys my hands away and plants a tender kiss on my lips. I have never felt this exposed in my entire life. And I never thought I could be this vulnerable infront of someone and not feel horribly insecure. But Liam did all he could to make me feel beautiful and cherished. Even though my brain reminded me he has been with multiple girls before me and a voice had yelled for me to turn off the lights or hide under the covers at some point, I was able to ignore it because he made me feel comfortable and safe. And eventhough it's something I don't want to think about, his experience came in handy because that was truly amazing. And the way he is looking at me now both terrifies me and makes my heart feel full.

This boy will be the death of me. There is no way I'm going to survive him.

I sit up and push against his shoulders to get him to lay down. I feel like I should do something for him, but I have no idea what. He seems to follow my train of thoughts because he smiles and shakes his head.

"I'm good, baby." He tells me.

"But.. you... I..."

He shakes his head again and plants another kiss on my lips.

"I wanted to do that. You don't owe me anything. One step at a time, okay?" He tells me.

I nod.

The truth is I actually want to, but I'm not going to voice that out. He lays down next to me and pulls me towards him, wrapping his arms tightly around me. I feel the full weight of exhaustion that's been building up all day crushing me down, and it doesn't take long for me to close my eyes and fall into a heavy slumber.

A ringing that sounds like it's coming from a mile away slowly brings me back to the land of the living. Liam's arms are tightly wrapped around me, so I have to untangle myself to get to my phone.

"What time is it?" Liam groans.

I finally reach my phone and see Steff's face flashing on the screen.

"Hello." My voice is groggy and thick, so I clear my throat.

"Jess! You have to come to pick me up. My mom has lost her damn mind. She took my car on a joy ride and broke it down!" I can tell she is beyond agitated, and it fully awakens me.

"What do you mean? What happened?" I sit right up, and Liam does the same grabbing his phone.

"It's her damn birthday. You know what that means. She is going to make my life a living hell for an entire day." She tells me, and I stifle a laugh.

Steff's mom always gets wasted and causes chaos every year on her birthday. It's the one time of year she notices all her failures in life. Two years ago, she came to school drunk and somehow ended up telling everyone Steff has a birthmark on her left ass. It was the highlight of the month.

"I have to go home to get my car, but I'll be right there," I tell her, and I hear something shatter in the background.

"Oh, my God!" Steff yells and groans loudly.

"What happened?"

"She just shattered the cremated ash holder vase! Grandpa is all over the floor." She says, and I clamp my hand over my mouth because it's both shocking and hilarious.

Liam is confused. He is looking at me with a frown.

"Hold on, Steff. I'll be right there." I tell her before hanging up.

"What's going on?" He asks.

"Steff's mom is drunk," I tell him, and he arches a brow.

"At 7 in the morning?"

"Yeah, I have no idea how that happened. Steff said her car broke down, so I have to go home to get my car and then go get her." I tell him, hurrying out of bed.

"There is no need for you to do that. We can take my car." He tells me, and I turn around to see if he is joking.

He is not.

"But you hate taking your car out."

"You think I'm going to let you go through all that trouble just because I don't like taking my car out?" He laughs and makes his way towards me. "You need to have a little more faith in me, Jess." He says, and he kisses me.

It starts as a soft, tender kiss but quickly takes a turn at heated and passionate street.

I push against his chest.

"We have to hurry up," I tell him, and he groans.

I laugh, rushing to the bathroom.

We quickly get ready and grab our things before heading over to Steff's. I call to explain that I am with Liam, and we are outside her house. In a few minutes, she makes her way towards us. I step out of the car to make sure everything is okay before we leave.

"Thank you for coming." She says when she reaches me.

"Of course. Is she okay?" I ask.

"You mean, am I okay?" She raises a brow. "I just cleaned Grandpa's ash off the kitchen floor and put it in a plastic container. And I am pretty sure there is still some of him stuck on the tile floor even though I used my toothbrush to get it to come off. I did things no girl should ever have to do, Jess. I might never be the same again." She shudders.

I want to comfort her, but I also want to laugh. She sees the humor in my eyes and looks at me with a warning.

"There is nothing funny about the amount of ash I had to clean up! And I think I inhaled some of him." She looks sickened, and I burst into a fit of laughter because I just can't hold it in anymore.

Before we step inside the car, we see Miranda come out with a bottle in her hand and a box in the other.

"Oh, no!" Steff says, mortified.

"Honey, you forgot your lunch box," Miranda says and stumbles her way towards us.

I stare at steff with wide eyes.

"No, I didn't. I'm not five anymore, remember? Go back inside. Go on." She says to her mom.

"That's right. My pretty girl is all grown up." Miranda reaches for her, but Steff steps away.

"Go inside and be pitiful there. Aunt Renee will come babysit you." She says, looking at her mother with pleading eyes.

"Twenty hours of labor just to be called pitiful," Miranda says and gulps down whatever is in the bottle she is holding.

"Jess! How are you?" She looks over at me like she noticed me for the first time.

"I, umm, I'm good. How are you?" I ask, struggling to keep my laughter in check.

"Living the dream!" She rolls her eyes and brings the bottle to her mouth once again. But Steff stops her by snatching the bottle away and spilling the drink.

"Hey! That was expensive, young lady." Miranda says sounding like herself for the first time.

"You have had enough. Go back inside." Steff snaps.

One day a year, the roles are reversed, and Steff is the mother. It is strange to watch.

"Whatever!" Miranda waves her hands around and walks past me to Liam's car.

Steff looks at me with wide eyes like she wants me to do something, but I am looking at her with the same expression. Miranda knocks on the passenger window, and Liam lowers it. Miranda turns around to look at us with a huge smile on her face.

"Which one of you is dating the angel?" She slurs her words, and Liam's eyes widen.

Steff is beyond embarrassed that he is witnessing this, and I can't stop the laughter even if I try.

"Go inside. I am begging you!" Steff says through clenched teeth, and Miranda slouches her shoulders in defeat.

"Fine! You kids take care." She says as she makes her way up the lawn. "Drive safe."

"Oh! She wants us to drive safe. That's hilarious. Why didn't she think of that when she took my car?" Steff says, sliding into the back seat

"That was brutal," I say in between laughter, and Steff glares at me.

"Shut up!"

"What was that about?" Liam asks.

"My mom went out to a bar last night after I fell asleep and decided to take my car on a joy ride. She ended up crashing into a ditch and got my car towed. Then came back in a Police car. But luckily, Uncle Fred was the one that found her. Or else she'd have been in jail for DUI right now. And she says it was just a little Fender Bender." She scoffs.

Wow! Miranda has taken it up a notch this year. I know one of the reasons she hates her birthday is because Steff's father told her he was leaving her for his secretary while they were out for her birthday dinner. He's an ass. I have earned the right to say that because I know the hell he put Steff and Miranda through. It seems like there is no shortage of shitty parents around here. Every town has its thing. Ours is unfit parents and dysfunctional families.

"Thank God she is okay," I say, and Steff sighs heavily. It must be exhausting to be a parent to your parent.

When we get to school, it seems like everyone we know is gathered up in the parking lot. Apparently, that is a thing now. They are all gathered around Ryan's car this time. Shannon and Ethan Baker are going at it right there in the middle, Elliot and Brittney look like they are having an argument, and Red and Ryan are laughing at them.

Nobody notices us at first. I don't think anyone expects Liam to bring his car to school much less with us inside it.

Red is the first one to notice us, and I can see as her mouth hangs open. Following her gaze, Ryan looks over at us. I don't know if it is the car or just seeing us together, but soon everyone is staring at us in surprise. All except Ryan, who has a mischievous smile on his face. I don't think there is much that can faze this guy.

I wait to see what Liam is going to do. He is closed off around his friends, and I don't like who he is when he is around them. I don't know if he wants me there with him or not, so I just stand there staring at them when I feel his fingers slide into mine.

"Ready or not." He whispers as we take a step towards them.

***

Hey friends, hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. So, I feel like I should talk to you guys about something. I don't feel entirely comfortable with writing a full-on sex scene with vulgar and descriptive language because I know this book has a lot of young readers. But I also don't want it to be completely dry. So I'm trying to find a balance here. If there is anyone who didn't enjoy reading the first scene or if you wanted more of "that" than you got, I'm sorry.

That being said, did anyone watch Harry Styles hosting The Late Late Show? I feel like he is such a chill and genuine person. Also, his album "Fine Line" is dropping tomorrow. :)

Alrighty, fam. I'm out! Please don't forget to Vote and Comment.

Much love,
Becca
