INT. SPACE MEUSEUM - AFTERNOON

IZZY, LANCE, AND SAMANTHA ALL WALK INTO THE OFFICE OF DR. COOPER. THE GROUP PAUSES WHEN THE SMELL OF MUSK FILLS THEIR NOSES AND WAVE THEIR HANDS IN THE AIR IN FRONT OF THEM.

[Izzy]

Dude, what is that smell?

[Lance]

I don't know but I feel like something crawled in here and died slowly.

[Dr. Cooper]

There's no reason to be so harsh. I am human you know.

IZZY, LANCE, AND SAMANTHA ALL LOOK TO WHERE DR. COOPER IS IN THE ROOM AND SEE HIM SITTING AT HIS DESK WITH A POT OF COFFEE NEXT TO HIM ON HIS DESK.

[Samantha]

Dr. Cooper, is that you? You look terrible.

[Izzy]

Yeah, you look like you haven't slept in a while.

[Lance]

And you smell even worse.

[Izzy]

Come on, dude.

[Lance]

What, I thought we were trying to jar him out of this.

DR. COOPER YAWNS AND STRETCHES. HE THEN POURS HIMSELF SOME MORE COFFEE.

[Dr. Cooper]

If you must know, I'm fine. I've just had a little trouble figuring some things out here at the lab.

[Izzy]

(Thinking)

It's that energy source. He's fixated on it.

[Lance]

Does this mean that we're not going to get started on any new projects today?

[Dr. Cooper]

No, I'm just far too busy.

[Samantha]

Why don't you tell us how it works? Maybe we can help you brainstorm up some solutions.

[Dr. Cooper]

To be honest I highly doubt that would be the case. You see unlike electricity, that has to be created by charged particles or statically as an accumulation of charge or dynamically as a current, this energy seems to constitute itself seeming out of nowhere. As long as there is even a tiny amount of it an abundance of the substance can be created.

[Samantha]

That could mean an abundance of renewable energy.

[Dr. Cooper]

Yes, precisely. However, the way in which I am trying to harness and channel this energy seems to be the most difficult thing in the world. When I've used both copper and iron conductors it has completely overloaded the generators and I don't know why. I've used all the resistance methods that I know of. All my attempts to manage it have come up cold turkey, I'm at my witts end to be quite frank.

[Lance]

Where did you even get this type of energy?

DR. COOPER LOOKS AT IZZY AND THEN LOOKS DOWN AT HIS WORK.

[Dr. Cooper]

I can't say. I came upon it purely by accident. In any case, I must get back to my work. I'm sorry but I will have to talk to you kids later. Goodbye.

LANCE, SAMANTHA, AND IZZY ALL LEAVE. GETTING OUTSIDE THE THREE START DOWN THE SIDEWALK.

[Lance]

Well, that sucks. What are we supposed to do now?

[Samantha]

How can you be worried about that when you saw the way Dr. Cooper was living. That can't be good for him. I wish that I could find out what happened to him.

IZZY WHO IS SILENT IS NUDGED BY LANCE.

[Izzy]

Huh?

[Lance]

What do you think about all of this?

[Izzy]

I don't know. I have to go.

[Lance]

What do you mean you have to go?

[Izzy]

It's really important.

[Samantha]

It's fine. Go.

[Izzy]

I promise we'll hang out more often. It's just that things are a little complicated at home.

[Lance]

What do you mean? Your folks aren't fighting, are they?

[Izzy]

No, it's nothing like that.

IZZY THINKS FOR A SECOND.

[Izzy]

I think that my mom might be pregnant.

[Lance]

Pregnant?

[Izzy]

Yep.

[Lance]

Well, they were apart for a long time.

[Samantha]

That's cool. You're going to be a big brother.

[Izzy]

Yeah. I can't wait.

[Lance]

Well if you really need to get home I won't stop you.

[Izzy]

Alright, I'll see you guys later.

IZZY FIST BUMPS LANCE AND WAVES TO SAMANTHA. HE THEN CROSSES THE STREET AND ACTS LIKE HE'S GOING HOME.

[Izzy]

(Thinking)

I hope my mom's not pregnant. I'm too old to be an older brother. That would be such a drag. But I need to tell Mrs. Cooper about Dr. Cooper. If he might listen to anyone it should be her. I should have never given him that blood sample.

IZZY REACHES DR. COOPER'S HOUSE AND RINGS THE DOORBELL. MRS. COOPER COMES TO THE DOOR AND OPENS IT.

[Mrs. Cooper]

Hey there Izzy. Have you seen Robert?

[Izzy]

That's actually what I came here to talk to you about. You see Dr. Cooper has gotten into a sort of rut that he won't allow himself to move on from and it's really getting to him.

[Mrs. Cooper]

Is he at the lab?

[Izzy]

Yes.

[Mrs. Cooper]

He hadn't been returning any of my calls. I didn't want to think the worst but now I see that he's just being his regular old self.

[Izzy]

I know that he's done this in the past, but I don't think that it's ever been this bad before. I think that he maybe needs to hear you in person. He wouldn't listen to me or Samantha or Lance.

[Mrs. Cooper]

Okay, I'll go down to the lab and talk to him.

[Izzy]

Great, I think it might be for the better.

[Mrs. Cooper]

Okay. Thanks for letting me know.

[Izzy]

No problem. See you later.

MRS. COOPER CLOSES THE DOOR TO HER HOUSE. IZZY THEN LEAVES THE HOUSE AND STARTS DOWN THE STREET. AS IZZY WALKS HOME HE PASSES THE FOOTBALL FIELD AND BIFF SEES HIM AND GETS SOME OF HIS FRIENDS TO RUN IZZY DOWN. IZZY SIGHS AND LOOKS AT THE GROUP THAT HAS SURROUNDED HIM.

[Izzy]

I thought that you would have learned your lesson the last time I embarrassed you.

[Biff]

It's been a while since I've seen you, loser. You been reading books. Read anything worthwhile, like how not to be such a dork?

[Izzy]

Dork, huh? Ignoramus, what are you seven?

BIFF GRABS IZZY BY THE COLLAR OF HIS SHIRT.

[Biff]

What the hell did you just say to me?

[Izzy]

That you're not very bright. You know, I feel like football was the worst thing that ever happened to you. You decided that you weren't going to read books or learn math past the fourth grade. But you can throw a football really far and run your ass off and all of sudden everyone loves you.

IZZY GRABS BIFF BY ONE OF HIS HANDS AND SQUEEZES IT. BIFF CRIES OUT IN PAIN AND IZZY PUSHES HIM TO THE GROUND. BIFF'S FIRST FRIEND GRABS IZZY BY THE SHOULDER AND TRIES TO PUNCH HIM BUT IZZY DODGES THE PUNCH. IZZY THEN GETS UNDER THE FIRST FRIEND AND PICKS HIM UP. HE THEN THROWS HIM AT BIFF'S SECOND FRIEND. IZZY THEN TURNS BACK TO BIFF WHO GETS TO HIS FEET. BIFF SWINGS AT IZZY AND IZZY DUCKS DOWN. IZZY THEN JUMPS UP UPPERCUTTING BIFF AND SENDING HIM FLYING BACK THROUGH THE AIR. BIFF TUMBLES BACK ACROSS THE GROUND AND WHEN HE SITS UP HE SPITS UP SOME BLOOD AND A TOOTH. BIFF THEN LOOKS AT IZZY WHO IS STANDING UP OVER HIM.

[Izzy]

Sorry, Biff but you're not the only who's special anymore.

IZZY WALKS OFF AND BIFF'S FRIENDS HELP HIM TO HIS FEET.

[Biff]

If you think this is over, you better think again! I'm Biff Hamlin! I own this town!

[Izzy]

Yeah, yeah whatever.

IZZY CONTINUES WALKING OFF.

CUT TO: LATER

EXT. IZZY'S HOUSE- AFTERNOON

AS IZZY GOES TO OPEN THE DOOR, HE FEELS THE DOOR BEING PULLED OPEN. KEN AND HELEN THEN BOTH LOOK AT IZZY WITH ANGRY FACES.

[Izzy]

What? What is it?

[Ken]

We got a call from the football coach. What's this about you punching Biff?

[Izzy]

Dad come on. Biff has been a jerk since he was born. He started that whole thing.

[Ken]

You didn't have to fight him.

[Izzy]

And what was I supposed to do? Let him beat me up with his friends?

[Ken]

You went too far though. Biff's parents are seeking legal action to try and get us to pay for the insurance.

[Izzy]

When he started the fight?

[Ken]

It's his word against yours. And he's got the injuries to prove it.

[Izzy]

Biff weighs easily 250 pounds. I'm 145 pounds. I'd like to see how they would like to prove that a bookworm beat up the star football player.

[Helen]

And what's this about telling everyone that I'm pregnant?

[Izzy]

... Are you?

[Helen]

No, I'm not. So now all of a sudden, you're running around starting fights and lying.

[Izzy]

It was a little white lie. I told Lance and Samantha that because I had something to do but I couldn't get them involved.

[Helen]

But you still lied.

[Izzy]

Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, it's not like this was something that was really going to change anything. I just needed an excuse to step away for a second.

[Ken]

Izzy, it does matter. If you start saying stuff like that, who knows what you'll do?

[Izzy]

But dad-

[Ken]

No. Look, if you say that Biff started the fight, fine. We'll sort things out tomorrow. But the lying, why wouldn't you just tell Lance and Samantha the truth?

[Izzy]

Fine, I told them that because I went and talked to Mrs. Cooper about Dr. Cooper. He's been held up in the lab for looks like days and I didn't think that it was healthy for him to be living that way.

[Ken]

You needed to lie for that?

[Izzy]

He told me something that he told me not to tell anyone else. But if I was going to tell anyone it had to be Mrs. Cooper. She is probably the only person that he would listen to.

[Ken]

Fine, fair enough. But we're probably going to have to meet up with Biff and his family tomorrow to sort things out.

[Izzy]

What's there to sort out? He attacked me like usual, I got a lucky hit in, and now his pride is hurt so he's making a big deal about it.

[Ken]

Yeah, but you knocked one of his teeth out.

[Izzy]

And he hasn't done worse to other people?

IZZY STARTS OUT TO THE GARAGE AND KEN FOLLOWS HIM.

[Ken]

Where are you going?

[Izzy]

To the peak. I need some time alone.

IZZY STARTS THE DIRT BIKE AND LEAVES THE HOUSE IN A HURRY. HELEN THE COMES OVER TO WHERE KEN IS.

[Ken]

What has gotten into him?

[Helen]

You know Izzy started acting strange when you were stranded in space. I think that he may have thought that he was never going to see you again. I know I thought that. Maybe he's just having a rough go of it right now.

[Ken]

Yeah, but that doesn't excuse this. I just hope that he can pull it together.

CUT TO: MOUNTAIN

EXT. MOUNTAIN- LATE EVENING

IZZY MAKES IT TO THE TOP OF A HILL AND LOOKS OUT AT THE SUNSET.

[Izzy]

(Thinking)

Why is everyone acting so weird? Dr. Cooper is acting like he can't function like a normal human being, there's human sized cockroaches running around, and everyone is acting like Biff is a saint. He's a known troublemaker and the only thing he's got going for him is that he's good at sports. The guy can't even read. I've made honor roll most of my life, but no one has ever even batted an eye. I wish that everyone would stop acting so backward.

UP IN THE SKY, IZZY NOTICES WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SHIP FALLING OUT OF THE AIR.

[Izzy]

A spaceship? Whoever it is, looks like they're in trouble.

IZZY PUTS THE KICKSTAND UP ON HIS BIKE AND THEN FLIES UP INTO THE AIR CHASING AFTER THE SPACESHIP. GETTING TO WHERE IT IS, IZZY NOTICES THAT WHEN HE GETS CLOSE THE GUNS ON THE SHIP TURN TO FACE HIM. AS THE BEAMS FROM THE SHIP ARE FIRED, IZZY GETS HIT BY THEM AND FALLS OUT OF THE AIR. THE SHIP THEN GOES ON TO LAND IN THE WOODS CREATING A CLEARING OF TREES. IZZY GETS UP AND RUBS HIS HEAD.

[Izzy]

What the hell? I go out of my way to help this guy and he shoots me? What the hell is their problem? Guess I better go and find out.

IZZY FLIES TO WHERE THE SHIP LANDED AND SEES THAT THE DOOR TO THE SPACESHIP IS OPEN. THE ALIEN IN THE SPACESHIP THEN GETS OUT AND LOOKS AROUND AND SEEING IZZY IT ROARS.

[Izzy]

Hey, wait! Hold on a second! I'm one of the good guys!

THE ROCK ALIEN PULLS OUT A BLASTER AND FIRES A SHOT AT IZZY. IZZY DODGES THE ATTACK THEN SHOOTS AN ENERGY BLAST AT THE GUN DESTROYING IT. THE ROCK MONSTER THEN ROARS AND JUMPS INTO THE AIR, AS IT COMES DOWN OUT OF THE AIR IT TRIES TO HIT IZZY WITH BOTH FISTS, BUT HE EVADES THE ATTACK.

[Izzy]

What the heck is your problem? I'm the good guy!

THE ROCK MONSTER STARTS SPEAKING IN A LANGUAGE THAT IZZY CAN'T UNDERSTAND.

[Izzy]

(Thinking)

Great, this guy doesn't speak English.

THE ROCK ALIEN RUSHES IZZY DOWN AND STARTS TRYING TO PUNCH AND KICK HIM BUT IZZY DODGES THE ATTACKS. IZZY THEN PUNCHES THE ROCK MONSTER IN THE FACE AND IT SLIDE BACK ACROSS THE GROUND ON IT'S FEET. IZZY THEN SHOOTS ANOTHER ENERGY BLAST AT THE ROCK ALIEN AND IT PICKS UP A ROCK TO DEFEND AGAINST THE BLAST. THIS CREATES A SMOKE CLOUD AND THE ROCK ALIEN RUNS OUT GRABBING IZZY AND RUNNING HIM THROUGH THREE TREES. THE ROCK ALIEN THEN GRABS IZZY BY ONE OF HIS LEGS AND FLINGS HIM BACK AND FORTH ACROSS ON THE GROUND BEFORE THROWING HIM BACK THROUGH THE AIR. IZZY RECOVERS FROM THIS AND FLIES BACK DOWN PUNCHING THE ROCK ALIEN INTO THE GROUND. AS THE ROCK MONSTER GETS UP IT TRIES TO PUNCH IZZY, BUT HE CATCHES IT'S HAND AND PUNCHES IT IN THE FACE SENDING IT FLYING BACK ACROSS THE GROUND. BEFORE IZZY CAN START OVER TO WHERE THE ALIEN IS AGAIN THOUGH TEK ARRIVES ON A HOVERBIKE AND STOPS IZZY.

[Tek]

Hey, what's going on?

[Izzy]

I was trying to help this guy and he attacked me.

[Tek]

Let me try something really quick.

AS THE ROCK ALIEN GOES TO ATTACK IZZY AGAIN, TEK FLASHES HIS BADGE AND THE ALIEN STOPS. THE ROCK ALIEN THEN POINTS AT IZY AND STARTS TALKING IN A LANGUAGE THAT IZZY DOESN'T UNDERSTAND.

[Izzy]

Is he pointing at me? Hey, what the heck are you pointing at you started it!

[Tek]

It's okay. I kinda know what he's saying.

[Izzy]

Kinda?

[Tek]

I had to learn some of every known alien language to become a space cop. Just sit tight and I'll handle this.

TEK AND THE ROCK ALIEN START SPEAKING. AS THEY TALK IZZY NOTICES THE ROCK ALIEN GET A LOOK OF REALIZATION AND TEK NODS. THE ROCK ALIEN THEN WALKS OVER TO WHERE IZZY IS AND OFFERS IT'S HAND. IZZY CONFUSED SHAKES THE ROCK ALIEN'S HAND AND THE ROCK ALIEN PULLS HIM IN FOR A HUG.

[Izzy]

Now, he's hugging me to death?

THE ROCK MONSTER LETS GO AFTER TEK TAPS HIM AND IZZY LOOKS AT TEK WITH A CONFUSED LOOK ON HIS FACE.

[Izzy]

What's going on?

[Tek]

This here is Golkall. He was under the impression that humans were a violent people and thought that you were trying to attack him. But I've explained everything so now you're cool.

[Izzy]

Oh.

[Tek]

He's looking for The Big Market, I'm going to take him there, care to tag along?

[Izzy]

EXT. UNDERGROUND- LATE AFTERNOON

IZZY, TEK, AND GOLKALL ALL WALK INTO A MARKET LIKE AREA THAT IS FILLED WITH ALIENS SHOPPING AND SELLING. IZZY LOOKS AROUND AND TECK PULLS HIS HOOD OVER HIS HEAD.

[Izzy]

What are you doing?

[Tek]

Humans are rarely allowed here. Stay close and try not to stand out too much.

[Izzy]

Right.

GOLKALL GOES AND DOES HIS SHOPPING WHILE IZZY AND TEK STAND BACK ON THE WALL.

[Tek]

So you're in with the CIA?

[Izzy]

[Tek]

Please, the CIA might as well be child's play compared to the people that I work for. I hope that you won't report this place to them.

[Izzy]

If you didn't want that to happen then why did you bring me here?

[Tek]

Because I needed your help. You see that red guy with the metal arm? He's got that slouched over alien beside him?

IZZY LOOKS AT WHO TEK IS TALKING ABOUT AND RECOGNIZES HIM.

[Izzy]

I know who that is. I fought him once when he was trying to kill some hunters.

Yeah, well that's not too surprising seeing that he's wanted on about 12 planets. I'm gonna need your help to take him down.

[Izzy]

Sure, I've got a score to settle with him anyway. So, what's the game plan?

[Izzy]

TEK WALKS OFF AND IZZY WAITS A COUPLE OF SECONDS BEFORE FOLLOWING TEK. TEK FOLLOWS ONAZAR TO A MERCHANT TENT WHERE THE BENDER LOOKS UNCOMFORTABLE TO SEE ONAZAR.

[Onazar]

Do you have what I'm looking for?

[Merchant]

Look, this is the last time. You can't keep coming here and doing this.

[Onazar]

If you want peace, you'll shut up and do as I tell you to.

THE MERCHANT SIGHS AND LEAVES TO THE BACK OF THE TENT TO GET SOMETHING. TEK ACTS LIKE HE'S LOOKING AT OTHER TENTS WHEN HE SEES ONAZAR LOOKING AROUND. NOT BEING QUICK ENOUGH, ONAZAR SPOTS HIM AND TIPS OFF HIS PARTNER. HIS PARTNER THEN GOES OVER TO WHERE TEK IS.

[Gilza]

You know something? We actually thought that you were going to make this a little interesting this time. For being the best, you sure did get caught quick.

[Tek]

I've got back up.

[Gilza]

Let's see how much good that does you! Now Onazar!

AS ONAZAR GETS WHAT HE NEEDS FROM THE MERCHANT HE TURNS AND STARTS TO FIRE AT TECK WHEN COSMIC FLIES OVER TO ONAZAR AND PUNCHES HIM IN THE FACE ACROSS THE GROUND.

[Tek]

Do me a favor and take care of this guy. Onazar is mine.

TEK STARTS OFF AND GILZA STARTS AFTER HIM.

[Gilza]

You're not going anywhere!

COSMIC GETS IN THE WAY AND GILZA JUMPS BACK.

[Gilza]

You must have a death wish!

GILZA SPITS UP AN ACID LIKE SUBSTANCE AT COSMIC. COSMIC DODGES THE ATTACK AND GILZA ROLLS UP INTO A BALL. HE THEN SPEEDS AT COSMIC WHO KICKS HIM BACK THROUGH THE AIR WHERE HE SLAMS INTO WALL AND FALLS DOWN TO THE GROUND. COSMIC FLIES OVER TO WHERE HE IS AND WHEN GILZA TRIES TO SHOOT AN ENERGY BEAM FROM HIS MOUTH, COMIC POINTS HIS HEAD DOWN. THIS CAUSES THE FORCE OF THE BEAM TO LIFT GILZA UP INTO THE AIR. COSMIC THEN CATCHES GILZA BY THE LEG AND THROWS HIM TO THE GROUND ON HIS BACK KNOCKING HIM OUT.

[Cosmic]

Hey, you mind transforming into a ball again? That was some good kickball practice.

CUT TO: PATHWAY

INT. MARKET- EARLY NIGHT

AS ONAZAR RUNS HE TURNS BACK TO GET A LOOK AT TEK WHO IS STILL FOLLOWING HIM.

[Onazar]

You're persistent, I'll give you that!

ONAZAR FIRES SOME SHOTS AT TEK WHO EVADES THEM. ONAZAR THEN KEEPS RUNNING UNTIL HE COMES TO A DEAD END.

[Onazar]

A dead end?

[Tek]

Yep.

ONAZAR POINTS HIS GUN BACK AT TEK. TEK WHO ALREADY HAS HIS GUN POINTED AT ONAZAR THEN SMIRKS.
