"WELCOME-" you greeted the customer who just walked in, but stopped yourself. "Nevermind."

"That was rude. You should treat every customer the same." Tsukishima smirked as he walked up to the counter. "I wasn't expecting you to be working."

"Oji is out again." You mumbled, grabbing a box of sodas, awaiting to be restocked. You walked out from behind the counter and over to the soda aisle.

"Coach told us you're starting at Karasuno on Monday. Is that true?" Tsukishima asked, trailing behind you.

"And what if it is?" You sneered, standing in front of the soda shelves.

"Nothing. Just surprised you even passed the entrance exam."

"Piss off." You hissed as you placed sodas on the shelves. He picked up one of them, examining the can. "I doubt you'll even make it through the year."

"Don't get too cocky. I'm smarter than you think." You looked up at him and gave a devious smile. He scoffed before smiling back, leaning down to your height.

"How do you plan on making friends with that bratty attitude?"

"That's the thing. I'm not going to make friends. I don't need them."

"Really, cause your only friend seems to be your uncle."

"And he's all I need." You stocked the last soda can on the shelf and walked back towards the counter. "If your not gonna buy anything then your just loitering, which is against-"

He placed down snacks and drinks on the counter. "Eh- When did you pick all that up?" You stared at the pile of food.

"Hurry up and check me out. I don't need to waste my time here." Tsukishima declared, already prepared to hand you his money.

"God you're annoying." You mumbled under your breath as you scanned his items. He watched you carefully as you scanned his food.

Without realizing it, you had been waving your hand in front of his face. "Hello? I said 890 yen, four eyes!"

"Oh, here." He handed you the money.

"We're you admiring my pretty face?" You teased, handing him his bag. He scoffed, snatching his purchase out of your hands.

"Your face is far from pretty. And don't call me four eyes." He sneered as he walked towards the exit.

"Four eyes or bean pole, your choice." You shrugged as you counted the change in the cash register. The blonde boy left the store, fumes practically shooting out his ears.
