This is Jordan's home. Oh and listen to the song! Its cute. Blueprints by Joshua Micuh

Korali's Pov.

I shrunk down in my seat, closing my eyes, mentally preparing myself for my impending doom that was about to be this visit.

I didn't tell my parents about Jordan because honestly with his whole thing was confusing. He didn't seem to want me around yet he was taking me back to his pack. Staying at school seemed out of the question and honestly I was too uncomfortable to ask him about it. Plus I was too overwhelmed to even think about it. Especially after the pain and sleeping I went through.

When I heard the click of a door handle my eyes snapped open, and I was staring at the grey covering of the roof of the car. I breathed out roughly through my nose and hopped for the best.

I suddenly heard more handle clicks and a draft leading into one side of the car on my right. I just wanted to melt into the seat rather than deal with my mom.

I felt arms wrap around my torso and pull me from the car; I could smell that it was Cailo. He sat me on my feet next to Jordan who had no expression on his face whatsoever. He glanced down at me and then back up at my mom. It made me wonder what he was thinking.

In this moment I took a minute to observe him. His fresh gray shirt was practically painted on his body, his black jeans were slung in a perfect manner, his unruly hair all over his head. He had the stance of an Alpha and an overwhelming aura that I'm sure even other Alpha's felt strongly. His black combat boots were clean and new, and his eyes held no information. Two thick eyebrows were above his green eyes and they were always crunched into a questioning make you feel stupid about whatever you're talking about way.

"Korali? Kaliko? Who are your friends?" My mom's voice broke through my obvious ogling and I felt the immediate embarrassment. I glanced around to see Cailo with a soft smile, Kaliko and Max beaming, and Jordan didn't have a reaction at all-much to my disappointment.

"Hey!" Kaliko waved excitedly, prancing away from us and into the house. She was practically here everyday of my life so there were really no boundaries.

Our eyes all followed her inside until everyone's all landed on me.

"Mom, uhm" I cleared my throat, "this is Jordan. My mate." And she had the exact reaction I thought she would.

She fainted. She dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes. She fell very dramatically the shovel flying in the air and hitting her smack dab in the forehead. Yeah, that was going to leave a lump.

"Is that normal?" Cailo wondered tilting his head slightly while looking at my crumpled mother on the ground.

"I expected this." I replied walking towards the house. Jordan picked my mom up and threw her across his shoulders as if she was pillow weight.

I thought that was a nice gesture for him to do. But it was most likely so he wouldn't have an obstacle in his way for taking me back to his pack.

I opened our wooden door and waved my hand for everyone to enter before me. I looked around back outside to see if anyone saw and as I knew, they did. George Palmer, the pack snitch was already running in the opposite direction, to tell my business, no doubt. I rolled my eyes turning back in the house to see my mom now slumped over on the couch.

Kaliko was already sitting in her favorite chair in the living room and I could hear my dad in the kitchen.

I sighed again when I saw my dad coming out of the kitchen with three mugs. He raised an eyebrow to the three boys and then to me before setting the mugs down on the table.

"One hot chocolate with extra marshmallows for you Kaliko, one for me and one for my mate, who appears to be passed out." My dad's eye contact went over to me. "What'd your mom overreact about now?"

I cleared my throat and went to speak but before I uttered a word I looked at Jordan. Okay, of course you're not going to speak up. Annoying.

"Uh, Dad, this is Jordan" I gestured to the 6'4" brooding alpha. "My-my mate."

My dad raised both his eyebrows and turned to Jordan. "Oh, well. That would make sense on why she would faint. She doesn't like surprises." He sipped from his hot chocolate and shrugged; his dark brown eyes not showing any concern. "Well, welcome to the family, treat my daughter right or I'll come with silver bullets." Jordan's growl sounded through the room because he obviously didnt like being threatened.

"Yes, sir." He ground out leaving the house immediately and being followed by Cailo.

"Uh? Can I have some hot chocolate?" Max asked causing everyone left in the room to laugh.

Jordan and Cailo haven't shown back up and my mom woke up but she didn't want to talk to me. Which didn't make sense to me. She was being stubborn about something that I couldn't help or change.

She probably jinxed me and I got an Alpha as a mate just in spite of her wishes.

Max and Kaliko were in my room playing Mario Kart and I was sitting on my porch wrapped in a blanket. The chair was one of those porch swings. I was swaying slightly looking out towards the road and the rest of the forest.

I was thinking about how different my life was about to get, real fast. I mean when Jordan and I met it was enough change for a day. But I could tell that he didn't respond positively to anything; or opposing views.

My dad seemed to accept the fact right away because he was always a believer of everything happens for a reason. I thought this whole thing would go completely different. Like I wasn't expecting my parents type of meeting exactly, but something along those lines at least.

They met a normal way. He met her in a record store, they looked in each others eyes, knew they were mates, they bonded over Michael Jackson songs, he marked her within that following week, had me a year later.

Simple.

Everything that obviously Jordan and I weren't going to be.

"Hey," I heard a male voice break through my silent thinking.

Max came from his stance at the door and sat next to me on the swaying bench causing it to move a little more rapidly.

"Hey Max."

"Out here thinking about Jordan?" He smiled innocently.

"No," I paused. "Yes," I stopped again. "Kind of." Sighing, I looked down at my hands tucked under the blanket I was in.

"What about?"

"Everything's about to change so fast. And Jordan doesn't seem like he likes change and I doubt he'll ease me into the transition. I feel like its going to be a forceful change."

"Not all change is bad Korali. And Jordan doesn't mean to be so hard seeming. Give it a chance."

"Do I have a choice?" I laughed slightly looking out onto the sun that was starting to set. "Is Jordan and Cailo okay?"

"Hold on," I turned back to look at Max his eyes glazing over. He was mind-linking for a couple of minutes before the glaze left his eyes. "They'll be back before nightfall. We're going to stay here for the night."

"Korali, Max, time for dinner. Your mom wants to know will the other two be back." Kaliko questioned through the screen door.

"Yeah, they will be." I nodded getting up from the swing and heading inside to face my mom, who wasn't speaking to me.

After 10 minutes, we were all seated in the living room, except Jordan and Cailo.

My mom glanced over at me with an I told you so face. I looked away then down torwards my plate.

"How's school Liko?" My mom's voice was the first to start the conversation. "I know how my daughter was spending her time."

"Its good as school can be. I mean nothing exciting has happen before Korali and Jordan." She beamed practically shooting us with her happiness for me. She tried to ignore my mom's negativity and deflect it with a sanguine outlook.

"Speaking of Jordan, where is he? Just like an Alpha especially an evil one like him." If she wasn't eating she would have stuck her nose in the air and walked away. But we were stuck in the awkwardness of her comment.

Max didn't like someone disrespecting his Alpha, so he growled lowly. "With all due respect Ma'am, Jordan is not here to defend himself so the insults will not be tolerated by me." He looked down at his food and started to scarf it down quickly.

"You've heard the rumors. Hell! You're living in the pack with them. You know about what I'm saying." She continued and Max although seeming level headed, you could tell this wasn't flying well with him. "Besides, Korali I told you about Alphas. There's no need for you to even go--"

"Enough! Mom, cut it out! He's my mate okay? I didn't choose this. This is fate." I didn't want to yell at her. It was disrespectful and I could still get told off for it. But she was being immature about my situation.

"When he sends you home crying then what is it?" It got quiet for a minute because there was nothing to say.

The door opened and in walked Cailo and Jordan. My mate looked utterly bored and Cailo looked like he just finished laughing. They approached the table, Jordan sitting next to me and Cailo sat near Max.

There was no point to whisper but Cailo whispered to Max "Why is it so tense in here?"

After standing, which caused all eyes to go to me, I grabbed Jordan's plate quickly placing the lasagna my mom made on it. I did the same for Cailo and then sat back in my chair.

"You're already his servant huh?" My mom muttered bitterly. Slamming her fork down and pushing out her chair with a mind numbing screech. She got up and stormed out of the house.

"What'd we miss?" Cailo asked, his head tilting slightly.

My dad went to go talk to her and I just silently picked around my food.

"Eat." Jordan murmmerd in my ear. I looked up at him to see his face pulled into a straight line.

My mom and dad never came back so I cleaned up the table, Jordan watching me with his piercing stare.

"There's only one guest room."

"Which is really my room, so I call bed you two have floor. Come on I'll get you blankets." Kaliko bossed walking toward the back room.

"Team terrible sleep tonight." Max sighed following behind the Hawaiian girl; Cailo not far behind.

That left Jordan and I. Alone.

"My room, is through that door," I pointed to a brown wooden door with the letter 'K' on it.

"My mom, she's well, she's just being difficult." I laughed nervously pushing a hair behind my ear as I wiped the table down. "I'm her only child you know? And she's been disheartened by Alphas."

"You're mother is not an exception to my rule. Ignore it." He relayed opening my door and walking into my room. I threw the towel into the trash and quickly scampered after him.

I stopped when I nearly ran into him and just watched what he did. He grabbed one of the blankets and a pillow off my bed and sat them on my floor. I really wanted to say something but I thought it was better if I didn't. We'd be affectionate within time. He was most likely the type that needed time accepting love.

When I started to remove my clothes he spoke again. "Stop."

I turned to face him taking my shirt off the rest and heading for my pants. "Hm?"

"What are you doing?" He asked his voice angry.

"Oh," I always laughed when I was nervous or embarrassed and this was one of those moments. "Well I usually sleep in a tank top and underwear."

"It's not appropriate." I opened my mouth to question him, but it might be part of his religion or some belief of his and who was I to question that.

"Uhm, okay?" When his eye closed and he plopped on the ground I hurriedly removed my pants replacing them with a pair of jogging pants.

After 30 minutes of sitting in the dark, I somehow knew he wasn't asleep either. Call it mate intuition or whatever but I knew.

"Jordan?" My voice was very low but with our hearing I know he heard me.

"Yes?"

"Can you promise me one thing?" He didn't answer. He stayed quiet the only thing being heard was the hissing of the trees being swayed by the wind outside.

"Can--can you at least act a little in front of my parents before we leave tomorrow. I understand it might be out of your comforts and I completely understand if you say no. But I feel my mom would be more receptive and less to think you're evil if you do." I did my stupid laugh and waited for a response. After 5 minutes I thought it would never come but it finally did.

"No."

My mom sat on the porch swing that I sat at the other night refusing to look the way the SUV was parked. She was being petty, but if this is how she wanted it, then so be it.

My dad hugged me close and whispered in my ear soothingly, "Your mom will come around." I could only nod.

Kaliko was next to hug me, practically squeezing me to death. "I'm going to miss you soo much. You better text me every chance you get and if you don't I will hunt you down and kill you."

I chuckled sadly hugging her back. I looked towards the car where Jordan was waiting. "You'll be fine Kore. You could get a demon to love you."

I didn't say anything. I just smiled at her my face turning to see my mom again.

"It's time to go Korali," Max told me bouncing to the car after getting the hot cocoa recipe from my dad. "We have to be there in a couple of hours because Jordan here has a meeting."

I wanted to ask with who, but Jordan would only shut that down.

I walked towards the car slowly and Jordan walked up to me stopping me in my path. I looked up at him, his towering height blocking the sun from hitting me. He took his arm up and I forced myself not to flinch and he wrapped it around my waist and shoved his face in my neck. If I were to die now, it would be a sweet ascent.

He lifted me slightly holding me to him tightly the sparks shooting from our bodies into each other. His orange scent was very overwhelming, making me want to moan, but I kept it in knowing everyone was watching.

He released me and I wiped my mouth for the drool I knew was there and stumbled a bit. Not that he let me go fast, but because I was shocked.

Jordan turned towards my mom looking at her briefly before heading towars the driver's seat. I started towards the back but Jordan's voice stopped me. "Up here." I opened the front door to the suburban and hopped inside. Once I had my seat belt on, Jordan had the car started, and Max and Cailo were in the back I waved goodbye to my family.

My mom refused to look our way and that broke my heart.

I started to sniffle a little telling myself not to cry and look forward. The dirt road we were on started to form into actual concrete and that's when I knew that this was real. I was leaving my pack and home to go with an Alpha of the most fearsome pack in the country.

I realized one thing though. Jordan did one good thing to me. He acted even if it was little, in front of my mom. And that was nice of him.

"You're going to like it here Korali! We're not as bad as people us out to be. Rumors are always put in line to keep up our tough look." Cailo said smoothly. He ran a hand through his hair leaning back into the leather cushion of the seat.

"I can only hope so."

I looked out the corner of my eye to see Jordan's hand clenched on the wheel.

"Windows, down." Can he only say short sentences? Or was he only good at spouting commands? It was highly annoying.

I complied like the other pushing the button to roll down the windows.

We pulled up to what looked like just a plain series of bushes but it was really just a decoy. The bushes opened up like gates and we drove into a beautiful forest. It was bright and green, trees everywhere. The wolves that were near bowed but when they saw me I could see the change in their demeanor. Confusion replaced their obediant looks and snears replaced some of those. I sunk down in the seat rolling my window up, thanking God that it was tinted.

Max got out while the car was still driving leaving the door wide open. "I told him to stop doing that." Cailo muttered waiting for the car to slow before joining Max and shutting the door. Jordan started to drive again and we were all alone. Again.

We pulled up past the trees to a big open field. If you looked straight you could see a big house. It had glass paneling on one level that outlooked the forest. Kind of like Edward's room in Twilight. It was beautiful. It was wooden, lit up, and screamed comfy log cabin vibe. It would be perfect to raise a family.

When we finally pulled up to it, I hopped out immediately, barely giving Jordan a chance to stop the car. I heard him mutter "Max." And if I wasn't so self-conscious around him I might have laughed. I skipped up the stairs running towards the door when I got there. I was excited to see that it was open and not locked. When Jordan closed the door I realized that now we were truly alone.

Was he going to speak? Show me around? Explain himself or the pack?

"Follow." Yup another one word. I sighed. This was going to be difficult.

There was a long staircase heading towards another floor but he stopped on front of the door on the side of the stairs on the main level.

He pushed open to a room that was pretty plain but it had what looked like one of those adjustable beds, dark black silky sheets, a window, a desk and a television. It was a nice sized room, and seemed comfortable enough.

I turned to him. "Thanks. Uh, I, uhm I assume this is only my room?" It was entirely too small to be the master bedroom and I knew Jordan wasn't going to settle for a small room.

"Yes."

"Are we the only ones to occupy this house?"

"Yes." He repeated and I felt a little weird under his wintry gaze.

"Shouldn't we get to know each other?" I looked up at him and his stance at the door, meanwhile I was actually in the room.

"I'm busy." I remembered why we came back early, because he had a meeting.

"Oh yeah! Of course. You go handle that. I'll--I'll be around here, I guess."

"Don't leave the house."

"I can't explore the territory?"

"No." He turned to walk out the room, but this time that wasn't enough for me. I needed a solid reason.

"Why?"

"Because I said so. The pack doesn't know who you are and your scent is foreign." He shook his head and opened the door, "just stay here." Then he closed and locked the door behind him.

I was left by myself in house that I don't know, in a territory unknown, with a bunch of people that I've only heard bad things about. I was on the set of a real life horror movie.

How do you feel about Jordan's attitude? Is her mom overreacting? How does Korali seem to feel about everything?
