I sighed when I woke the next morning, remembering my situation after only a few short seconds of bliss. I rubbed my hand through my hair as I sat up.

Hmm...its quiet in here...

It'll probably be a while before any of the brothers wake up, they're definitely jet lagged.

Alex on the other hand...

I looked around the room, lost on what to do. What am I going to do today? I usually have Alex dragging me out of bed having already decided what to do for me.

Well, I need a shower I guess.

I quickly got out of bed, wincing at the slight aches I had, probably from being so active recently. Or from stress...

Probably stress.

I made sure to have a quick shower. I don't know why, but I felt anxious, like I had to do something. Of course my version of a super quick shower is everyone else's version of a normal lengthed shower. But still, I tried.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face before wrapping a towel round my waste. I walked out of the bathroom and nearly jumped a foot in the air before sighing when I bumped into Alex.

"Alex...Don't just walk into people's rooms in the morning." I scolded as I tried to ignore my faint blush, probably from being caught off guard.

"Omg...Sorry, uh...sorry..." He said, seeming kind of distracted or something, his face slightly red.

I'm guessing he was caught off guard as well?

"Where you expecting me not to be in here or something?" I raised a brow at him and he chuckled.

"Well the second before you crashed into me I had decided you must have gone down stairs, so it was a bit of a surprise." He explained while rubbing the back of his neck and looking at the floor awkwardly.

"Did you want something?" I smiled at him and he glanced at me for a second before awkwardly looking at another part of the floor.

...

"Would you like me to put a top on or something?" I asked with a raised brow and amused grin, making him smirk. "You're going red." I teased and he huffed.

"I'm fine! Just surprised!" He defended and I chuckled before walking over to the draws I had put the new clothes in.

I looked over to Alex when I picked up some clean briefs, raising a brow in question when he just stared at me blankly.

"Oh right yeah sorry." He immediately turned around, but I still felt uncomfortable as I got changed.

I put on jeans and a simple black low cut vest because it was apparently going to be rather warm today.

Alex was frowning as I walked away from the drawers however, making me frown as well.

"What's wrong?" I asked and he just smiled at me and skipped over to the bed, picking up a rainbow piece of cloth before bounding back over to me.

I gave him a look when he tried to hand it to me, making him pout.

"Come on, you look super cute with it! Besides, it was a gift, you've got to wear a gift." He persuaded while forcing it into my hand and holding it there, making me blush.

I sighed after several moments of him just looking at me with puppy dog eyes and then smiled.

"Fine." I gave in and he beamed at me.

"Yay!" He said and took it again, wrapping it and tying it around my neck. I rolled my eyes at him when he spent a few seconds adjusting its position before turning around and walking out of my room.

I walked into the kitchen despite not wanting any breakfast, and found Matías leaning against one of the counters holding a cup of coffee. Damn, he drinks coffee a lot.

"Morning." I greeted politely and he just silently blinked at me.

Okay...

"You follow after your father, orientation wise, don't you?" He asked in a way that sounded like he was just stating making me frown at him.

"Um, maybe...why?" I asked, that wasn't entirely true though, there is no way in hell I could ever identify as bisexual...sorry.

"Just...noticing." He replied making me give him a look.

Right...

He then smiled, but it wasn't a friendly smile, it was...amused. Or maybe smug was a better description.

I was a bit put off by that interaction, and just stood there as Alex eventually came skipping in.

He stopped when he saw Matías, swerving round him almost as he walked further into the room.

He smiled at me happily and I watched him curiously as he started rooting around in the cupboards.

"Do you even have sugar in this whole entire building?" He asked with his whole head in the cupboard and I smiled.

"It's unhealthy." Was Matías's answer and Alex turned round to give him a sympathetic look.

"It's healthy for the soul!" He defended and Matías frowned at him, obviously taking that statement completely seriously.

"Do you have any evidence to back that claim up?" He asked making me snicker.

"Er..." Was all Alex could say as I walked out of the kitchen, and I didn't hear any more of the conversation after that.

I took a long breath of fresh air as I stepped outside, immediately walking over to the horses in the paddock.

"Hey gorgeous." I greeted Noah as he looked up at me, chomping on a mouthful of hay.

I stroked his nose lightly before sighing, staring ahead of me while thinking.

"You okay?" A voice sounded from behind me, and I turned round to see Caleb smiling at me.

"I'm fine, you're up early?" I said and he smirked.

"I went to sleep a lot earlier than the rest of you." He explained before smiling and petting Noah as the curious horse sniffed at him.

"How is it down there?" I asked as some kind of small talk and he frowned.

"A bit cold, actually, I guess because it's underground or something, but I eventually figured out how to turn the heating on." He said making me smirk.  "How do you like it being back home?" He asked me and I sighed.

"I don't really, I wouldn't call this a home."

"Well, then where is home?" He frowned and I remained silent.

"Good question..." I commented after a while and he looked down at the grass.

"I don't find our house like a home yet either, home's are welcoming and safe, so..." He sighed making me give him a sympathetic smile.

"You'll find one eventually, even if you have to make it yourself." I reassured and he smiled at me.

"Same goes for you, then." He replied and I smiled back.

"Yo!" A sudden voice made me jump before I was suffocated in a hug.

"Alex!" I complained while Caleb stepped away uncomfortably.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked while still not letting me go and Caleb just looked at the horses awkwardly.

"Well, I was enjoying the quiet." I said and he let me go while smiling sheepishly.

"Heh, sorry." He then took a second to look at Caleb, but didn't really acknowledge him.

Wow, they really don't know each other, how did they manage to stay strangers after five years?

"Um, well, I'm gunna go..." Caleb muttered but I stopped him with my arm.

"No way you're not escaping." I insisted and he just looked at Alex in discomfort, while Alex stared back at him with a flat expression.

"It appears you guys need a reintroduction, I'm sure you'd get along well if you gave each other the chance." I suggested and they both gave me sceptical looks.

I gave Alex an encouraging look and he sighed before putting on a smile.

"Hey, I'm Alex, I'm 18, and I've been alcohol free for a few months now." He mocked and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Caleb, this is Alex. He's not THAT bad if you get to know him, despite him being extremely hyper and annoying, sometimes. He's a nice person and not mean spirited, although he can unintentionally seem a bit shallow sometimes." I pushed the strange interaction further before giving Alex a teasing smile.

"Shallow?" He pouted and Caleb smirked.

"Well, where's your introduction, I'm guessing you're shy, or something." Alex confronted Caleb when he stayed silent for a bit and he blushed.

"Caleb is really kind, he's just cautious is all, he likes horses like you do, and he takes care of Anatara which is really nice. He can be a bit awkward if you seem a bit too loud and boisterous, I'm guessing he's simply just an introvert like me." I said and smiled at Caleb while he blushed even more and chuckled awkwardly.

And he's super cute, I'll keep that one to myself though.

"What? I wanna take care of Ana!" Alex complained with a pout and I chuckled.

"Well maybe if you get along you can both take care of her when we get back." I suggested and Alex narrowed his eyes at Caleb.

"Okay, I accept your challenge! So, what' your fav colour, mine's pink!" Alex suddenly beamed at him and stepped closer to him making him blink in surprise.

"E-er..."

"Let me guess, black!?" He assumed, rolling his eyes and Caleb made a face.

"Silver, actually." He corrected him and Alex tilted his head.

"Huh...my bad then, is that why you dyed it that colour? You were more approachable as a ginger!"

Wait, what? Ginger?

I frowned at Caleb as he blushed at what Alex had said.

Oh my god, his eyebrows are a reddish brown.

"You're ginger?? What!" I exclaimed in surprise making both of them jump.

"Erm, yeah..." He mumbled and I stood there in shock.

"Damn..." Was all I managed to say after they stared at me in confusion for a few seconds.

Sorry, I have a soft spot for gingers.

Probably should have said that out loud...

"Ginger's my favourite hair colour." I explained with a sheepish smile and Caleb blushed as Alex narrowed his eyes at his hair.

"Well his hair was a dark ginger, not the cute type of ginger." Alex stated almost defensively before ruffling it.  "Keep it silver then!" He chirped at Caleb and he rolled his eyes.

"Surely it gets tiring, to bleach it and dye it every week or two, don't you have to have a special kind of conditioner too?" I said, kind of wanting him to go back to ginger, sorry not sorry.

Alex made a face and Caleb smiled at him with a raised brow.

"You're right, it does get tiring." He said while watching Alex's reaction and Alex huffed.

"Yah okay whatever do what you want!" He puffed and I rolled my eyes at them both.

"Calm yourselves children." I commented and they both snorted at me.

"I'm older than you!" They said almost in unison and I chuckled.

You know what, I think they're warming up to each other.
