I'll remember the number of this chapter...

I ended up just sitting there in silence for at least three hours. I didn't want to start an argument, so I just thought about things. Lots of things.

Now I'm just pissed at everything, the more I think about it the less this whole situation I'm in makes sense.

Nearly all gay, nearly all attracted to me. All male??! What is with this family!

So bossy and argumentative, it's like I'm a parent's precious Chihuahua that they're looking after for the summer or something. Better keep it inside all the time than risk it getting hurt.

Seriously I have bruises all over my body and am so sore I feel like I've ridden around on horseback for a week solid.

And I've been walking around with visible hickeys all week...really need to invest in some foundation or whatever it's called...

Not only that I'm being called a slut all the time even though I'm never the one to make a move!

Honestly it's not like I'm killing anyone anyway, if they've got a problem with it they should just tell me rather than just jump to the word slut straight away.

Ugh!

"Riley."

"WHAT." I snapped in irritation and he gave me a flat look.

He stayed staring at me for several moments and I sighed.

"Sorry." I said flatly and he raised a brow at me.

What? I'm not good at acting you won't be able to make me sound like I mean it!

"Why do you have to act like such a brat all the time" he complained and I scoffed.

"Why do you have to act like you're my parent all the time, you're not, i can look after myself!"

"I have the responsibility to not let you get yourself killed!"

"What is this, the Amazon rainforest!? Going outside or getting in a simple fight isn't going to get me killed!"

"Fights can get you killed!! Getting suspended and expelled from school will kill your chances of getting a reasonable job! Unless you work as a prostitute I bet you'd love that!" he yelled and I stood up and took a few steps towards him.

He responded by standing up too, and of course loomed above me, but a fight wasn't what I was aiming for.

I reached behind my back into the draw and picked up a rectangular object with a cracked screen as I glared at him, my phone.

"Why are you so concerned with what goes on in my private life, it's not like I've hurt anyone!"

"You've hurt EVERYONE!!" he snapped and I took a step back, feeling slightly intimidated by his height and loud voice.

That doesn't even make any sense.

I just narrowed my eyes at him before taking a step to the side and opening the door that I realised had not been locked.

"Riley!" he called as I walked out but I ignored him.

"Why do you find it so hard to shut the fuck up and do what you're told!!" he shouted after me as he walked out and I scoffed.

"I'm not some fucking twelve year old child WHY DO YOU FIND IT SO HARD TO TREAT ME WITH RESPECT!" I turned and yelled at him, knowing full well everyone in the house could probably hear me.

He slammed me against the hallway wall and knocked the air out of my lungs before leaning in close to my face.

"Well if you're going to act like an immature slut, I'll treat you like one" he snapped and my eyes widened.

"FUCK YOU!!!" I shouted before pushing him off of me with all my might. He stumbled back and hit the wall on the other side of the narrow hallway before I followed after him with my fist raised.

Pain exploded down my arm as my fist came in contact with the plaster in the wall, leaving a hole in it as Chance tensed up in shock.

Surprise soon morphed into anger and he glared at me before being held back by Luca.

"What the fuck is going on here?! Control yourselves both of you!" he yelled and I continued taking steps backwards.

"Fuck this." I stated before turning round and running up the stairs.

"Riley!!" I heard Aaron call but just ran faster. I made it into my room and put on a warm hoodie before picking up a backpack and then the airplane tickets placed on my desk.

No, I'm not planning on leaving the country, but just in case.

I slammed my door open and stormed down the stairs, making my intentions clear.

"Riley stop" Luca insisted with an anxious look on his face but i just turned away from him.

"Riley I'm sorry" Chance tired to apologise but I just glared at him.

"Chester!" Aaron called to my confusion as I made it to the door and I jumped when Chester grabbed my arm from behind me.

"Chester, let go" I asked calmly and looked him in the eye.

He seemed confused as to what this was about but had obviously decided hanging on and not letting go was the best solution to the problem of everyone yelling.

"Please, I'll be back, I promise" I whispered and he blinked at me, unsure.

I tensed as Aaron started storming towards us and Chester let go. I swung the door open and stormed out of the house, heading out into the darkening sky.

"Chester what the fuck!?"

"R-Riley!!" Luca had seemed to have been knocked out of his frozen trance and called after me again, but I started running when I heard him on the gravel driveway.

Ana will be fine, I've got this.

"Riley I'm not some old man that can't run after you get back here!" he shouted in irritation but I continued sprinting into the trees hoping to be lost within the dark shapes.

Easier said than done, as I found myself nearly tripping up several times on hidden logs. Luca wasn't so lucky though, as shown by the loud exclamation of 'fuck!' and a sudden stop to the footsteps pursuing me.

"Riley!!" I winced and hoped he wasn't too injured as I carried on running, making it to the side of the road and running for several minutes before stopping and catching my breath.

I got my phone out and sighed in relief when it still had 31% power left, I had so foolishly not checked before I stormed out of the house.

The phone suddenly started ringing and I looked down to see Erin's name on the screen.

I answered it in confusion and he made a sound of surprise.

"You have your phone on you?! How?!" he exclaimed and I raised a brow.

"Why did you ring me if you thought I didn't have my phone on me.."

"I was just checking, I somehow got a call from one of your brothers asking to keep an eye out for you, what the hell happened??" he ranted and I sighed.

"I may have...stormed out...after punching a hole in the wall and yelling allot"

".........you fucking idiot" he stated and I scoffed.

"Rude."

"Where are you now?" he asked and I took note of how he seemed allot more energetic at the moment.

"Why do you want to know?" I asked suspiciously and he scoffed.

"It's not like I'd help them find you, assisted murder is not what I want on my record" he joked but it still made me bite my lip in worry. I'm going to be in so much trouble.

I always make things worse for myself don't i...

"I'll get my mom to pick you up, don't want you out in the dark by yourself" he said and I cringed.

"Oh no really that's fine I don't want to disturb your evening plus car rides with people you don't know is really awkward and then she'll probably ask why i'm out here and judge me and take me back and i'll be murdered and killed and burned and spiked and burned and slaughtered and i'll have my precious phone taken away from me again" I explained and he was silent for a few moments.

"...."

"......."

"..Ok, i'll come with then...make sure she...doesn't" he said and I sighed.

"I really don't want to put any trouble on you seriously I'll just walk around a lot until the early hours of the morning and then hang out at the community centre all day bet that'll be great maybe i can help out with the boy scouts sounds great and that way I won't be murdered for another day." I reassured myself and he started laughing.

"This situation is not funny!"

"Riley seriously if you don't tell me where you are i'll start looking for you and that would be even more troublesome so just tell me" he insisted and I sighed.

"I'm just outside of town, I can walk the rest of the way"

"Good, I'll be waiting for you" he said before hanging up and I frowned.

Nothing I hate more than intruding on people's Friday evenings without an invite.

I'm a terrible person. Oh well I heard hell has Wi-Fi.

-

"Riley!" Erin called making me jump as I walked down his road. He was stood out on the pavement looking kind of...happy.

Is he bipolar or something?

"...Hey.." I said unsurely and he rolled his eyes.

"Don't be so shy seriously we weren't doing anything anyway! I'm sure you'd do the same if it was me!"

"Er...maybe but my brothers wouldn't let you in the house..."

"...True..." he fake frowned as he shoved me inside his house and I blinked like a deer in headlights at this greying man standing in front of me.

He had his arms crossed in an intimidating way and I took a step back almost crashing into Erin.

"Aww, he's adorable" the man spoke making me jump.

"Ugh, isn't he just!" Erin commented before patting me on the head, making me give him a flat look.

"Don't worry, everyone loves random visitors after dark, it's not like we were planning anything anyway" he reassured and I couldn't quite work out if he was being sarcastic or not...

"Excuse me while I go warn my wife of a visitor in the house. She usually doesn't bring a towel with her when she showers and storms around the house naked, pretty scarring for a young uninterested man like yourself eh...make yourself at home." He said before walking off down the hall.

"....What does he mean by uninterested?" I asked Erin as he stood by me.

"He knows you're gay, Riley." He replied bluntly without looking at me.

Oh...

Okay.

Erin suddenly went wide eyed and pale and I raised a brow at him.

"You okay?" i asked and he laughed awkwardly.

"Haha, yeah, I just realized i have some drawing-paintings-THINGS in my room that need to be tidied so I'll be right back" he said in a hurry before darting off and I blinked after him.

What...

I ventured round the kitchen awkwardly for a few minutes until my eyes landed on a cupboard door left ajar. It had very luminescent colours in it so I went to investigate, opening it slightly and observing the vast amount of pills and medicines in there.

Interesting...

My eyes landed on one syringe, Aldesleukin it read.

Aldesleukin....where have I heard that before...

I decided to put my newly re-acquired phone to some use and searched it up on google, paling at the results that showed up.

I jumped when Erin ran back down the stairs and shut the door before walking away. He gave me a look as I walked up to him and I smiled awkwardly, dizzy from the blood draining out of my face.

"You okay?" he asked and I nodded quickly, still making an awkward face.

"Did you break something?" he asked and I gulped.

"No, just...feeling like a nuisance..." I reassured quietly and he raised a brow.

I then noticed him standing between me and the cupboard awkwardly, looking at the door slightly from the corners of his eyes.

Please tell me...that's not his medicine...

There was an awkward silence until a lady dressed in only a white towel came bounding in to the kitchen.

"Hello sweets! You hungry?" she asked me before smothering me in a hug and making me widen my eyes.

"I just ate, thank you for offering" I said with a small smile and she beamed at me.

"Ugh he's so adorable! Can you be my GBF?! I've always wanted a GBF!!" she exclaimed while patting me and I snickered.

"MOM" Erin complained and she put her hands up in surrender.

"We can work toward the B part of GBF if you really want to Clara, but it may take some time" I humoured her and Erin face planted.

"Oh, of course! It's always good to have a nice relationship with your son's boyfriend....boy...friend...friend that's a boy" she blurted and Erin looked up at her through the hand covering his face.

"I hate you" he commented and she pfft at him.

"Aww it's not opposite's day today dear! But I appreciate the thought" she squeaked before hugging him and I smiled at them.

That's cute, I want a mum.

"Well you guys can head off and do what you want now. You can stay in my son's room tonight G.F but if you stay and longer I would have to ask that you move to one of the spare rooms." She explained and I chuckled.

"I don't plan to be such a burden S.F but thank you for the offer" I reassured and Erin groaned.

"Stooppp!!" he complained before shoving me towards the stairs and I started laughing.

He collapsed on his bed with a huff once we made it to his room and I smiled at him.

I looked at the empty pill packets on his bedside drawer with a frown before placing my bag on the floor.

"What's in that?" he asked curiously and I sighed before sitting down next to him.

"Nothing much, passport, plane tickets, water..." I explained and he lifted his head with interest.

"Plane tickets??" he asked and I smirked.

"Yeah, my father bought them for me because he wants me to come back to England...wasn't really planning on going though.."

"Like being people's fuck pet too much huh?" he asked and I gave him a look.

"Can you turn the lights on? It's kind of dark in here." I changed the subject and he made a pfft sound.

"Um no then I'd have to see your ugly mug in full lighting, not happening"

"Ugly mug, thanks for that"

"You're welcome, thought I'd try using some of your native language"

"Haha..."

"Come on don't change the subject, why aren't you going?" he asked, sitting up next to me.

"Um, because I like it here, you're here, people I know are here...Ana's here" I said and he raised a brow.

"'The fuck is Ana?" he asked and I smirked.

"My falcon?"

"....Oh...I thought you were joking when you said you had a falcon...."

"Were you jealous for a second?" I teased and he made a face.

"Yes." He replied bluntly before smiling and I rolled my eyes.

"How long would you be staying there for?"

"Only a week, but my father has a way of making you do what he wants, all he needs to do is get me in his country and I'll never be able to return...he'd probably burn my passport or something psycho like that." I explained and he laughed at me. "What? I'm being serious!"

"Surely a week wouldn't do any harm"

"It would. Plus I'd be lonely"

"Aww, I'd other to go with you, but..-"

"But what?" I turned to him seriously and he blinked at me.

"But...things...Err, don't have a passport..." he excused and I gave him a look, reaching over onto his drawer and picking up the small booklet.

"Ah...."

"I'm not trying to force you to go with me Erin I just want to know why you can't, what's wrong with you?"

I know already, but I want him to tell me.

He looked away from me awkwardly and I knelt on the bed facing him.

"Erin, what harm is telling me going to do..." I persisted and he closed his eyes.

"It's none of your business" he spat and I felt a tear in my heart. I paused and breathed for a few moments as Erin looked away from me, he seemed guilty for snapping like that but I wasn't sure...

"Erin..." I whispered, feeling the tears form in my eyes. He just stared around the room, avoiding eye contact.

"Why won't you trust me, aren't I your friend? This hurts, are planning on just rejecting me and not tell me anything?" I ranted and he started breathing heavily.

He tried to move away from me but I grabbed his arms.

"Riley..." he murmured nervously but I wasn't backing down soon. I was getting the truth from him even if it took me all night. And if he seriously won't tell me, I'll tell him that I already know.

"I may not be able to help but that doesn't mean I don't have a right to know. This may be selfish of me but you'd break my heart if you just abandoned me like this, I love you Erin you're my best friend, am I nothing to you? Am I not worth telling?Why-"

"Kidney.."

He suddenly muttered and I stopped.

"What?"

"It's Kidney Cancer, and it's spreading."
