I sighed before following them all out of the room and down the stairs.

I smiled politely at a 20 year oldish black haired, blue eyed man that had just walked through the front door and he beamed at me before walking over and hugging me. "Okay...." I said as he practically suffocated me.

"You are our new brother right?! I'm Zac! It's awesome to meet you!!" He introduced himself rather loudly as he let me go and I blinked at him.

"Oh , right. I'm Riley" I smiled as I tried to catch my breath.

"Don't worry; we can get you some pepper spray to sort out the Zac problem." Alex explained as he patted my shoulder and Zac narrowed his eyes at him.

"I ain't that bad, besides, wouldn't want to scare off a cutie like you now would we!!" He exclaimed as he hugged me again and I took a step back when he let me go - for safety precautions.

"Well, you are doing a great job of it so far" Nate said as he walked in from the kitchen. I really started to wonder what their father looked like when looking at the differences in their features. Nate definitely had a different mother to all of them, probably African-american.

I started to feel a little uncomfortable when Chester and Aaron joined us, but barking and somebody yelling diverted my attention. "Watch out! No crowding in the hallway!" Another brown haired, brown eyed -but medium skinned (is that a thing? Should I just say Asian origins?) teenager shouted as he was dragged along by a muddy dog. The Labrador got free of his grip and started running towards us at full pelt.

My eyes widened as it slipped on the white floor and came barrelling into me, sending me toppling over and hitting my head on the side of a hard, black cabinet.

The dog yelped and stayed lying on top of me as I rested on my elbows while shaking the dots out of my eyes. "Whoa, I think I might of damaged some of your furniture." I chuckled at their pale faces that turned relived when I spoke.

The dog panted right in my face and I cringed. "Whoa dog, get some mints." I told it as I stroked its head.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, er, who are you?" The brown haired boy asked and the others rolled their eyes.

"That's Riley. Our step brother." Chester explained with his arms crossed, his green eyes bored into him and the teenager's face paled.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, not a good first impression!" He said as he helped me up and I stroked the dog more.

"An over-excited dog is hardly your fault, besides, I think I am the one who should be saying sorry; it looked like I almost gave you all a heart attack." I smiled then frowned as I looked at my paw print covered hoodie.

"Oh, sorry about that too, I am Hunter if you didn't know." He said as he took the dog again by its lead, holding tighter this time. I smiled in acknowledgement, but was too busy wincing and feeling the forming lump on the back of my head to give a verbal response.

"You might want to get ice on that, well, as long as you are okay I am off to work now, I would get a sane brother to look after you but there doesn't seem to be one around." Chester said as he walked towards the front door and all of the remaining brothers scoffed at him.

"Didn't deny it!" He said without turning around as he walked out of the front door and I smiled.

"You might want to get that in the wash as well. It'd probably be best if you sat down; then maybe the house wont have another chance to kill you just yet." Aaron, the one with the vibrant red hair, explained as Hunter lead the dog away. He also seemed like the oldest here, suggesting why he took responsibility for taking care of me. Although I do suspect he takes the role of caretaker quite often.

I felt a bit self conscious with Alex(the hyper one), Nate and Zac (the larger hyper one) all following me as I walked into one of the sitting rooms and sat down on the white sofa. Aaron handed me an ice pack and I smiled before taking off my now brown and blue hoodie and giving it to him.

The coldness was uncomfortable as I sat in just a skin tight white T-shirt and I became considerably more uncomfortable when all the three guys did was just stand there staring at me. "Haven't you guys got something better to do?" Aaron sighed.

"Nope" Zac answered simply and quickly while the others were turning away.

"And this is what I mean about the pepper spray." Alex commented and I chuckled as I placed the ice pack on the back of my head.

"Well as long as you aren't dying I will be guilt free, see you later!" Nate smiled then waved as he and Aaron walked out.

"Well, I might not be dying, but I don't think my head will ever recover" I mumbled to myself then watched as Zac sat next to me on the sofa.

"How many fingers am I holding up?" He asked while holding up a few fingers and I gave him a look.

"What? You could have concussion!" He smiled and I smirked.

"I'm fine, thank you." I smiled politely at him and he shrugged before continuing to sit on the couch while staring at me. Alex rolled his eyes before walking out too, leaving me alone with him still staring at me.

I was interrupted from complaining by the silver haired punkish boy from earlier walking in. He saw me and his deep blue eyes widened. "Who are you??"

I chuckled at his rude tone and he gave me another confused look. "Caleb - this is Riley- our new brother?" Zac explained in an unfriendly manner and I guessed they weren't exactly on good terms.

"He's not our brother, he is our step-brother. Big difference." Caleb stated then walked out another door.

"Yeah, he is normally that polite." Zac huffed.

"Don't worry; I am actually a lot worse when I get visitors in my house...well, got." I explained then chuckled.

"You seem very polite, I like that in men." He winked at me and I shook my head while laughing at him.

"The rest wont be back for a bit, so you can go back to sitting outside if you really want." Aaron smiled as he walked into the room and I rolled my eyes.

"No way! I ain't letting you do that! If you really want to go outside I can show you our stables and sports facilities!" Zac blurted out then dragged me up from the sofa.

"Whoa , I thought riding was a sport." I said as I followed him out of the room.

"Nah, it's a girls hobby." he stated and I rolled my eyes.

"Well that, is going to be something we disagree on." I said as we walked out of the mansion and down a gravel path.
