After cleaning up the mess in the kitchen and putting away the groceries, all of us were to tired to cook so we ended up ordering Chinese food. I haven't had Chinese food in forever! It's so good.

"I'm going to bed, goodnight." I walk over to Jackson, pecking him on the cheek before doing the same to Colten. My eyes widen in realization, covering my hand over my mouth.

"Thanks, baby, but my lips are right here," Colten's smirks, pointing to his lips. I just want to slap that smirk off his face. "Ow!"

"I'm right here," Jackson states, angrily at Colten who he just smacked over the head.

"Yeah, yeah," Colten mumbles. I try my best not to laugh as I rush up to my room. Walking into the bathroom, I wash my face and brush my teeth, then change into my SpongeBob pajamas.

Right when my head hits the soft pillow, I'm out like a light. Literally.

***

The next morning I hurriedly get ready for school, realizing that I woke up more than twenty minutes late.

Running down the stairs to get some breakfast in my stomach, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I see Jackson and Colten crashed on the couch.

Colten's mouth is slightly open, his feet laying on top of Jackson. I stifle a giggle, rushing into the kitchen and popping a bagel into the toaster.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

I'm going to kill her. I grab the bagel out of the toaster and run out the door the same time I spot Colten and Jackson falling off the coach.

"Whose that?" Jackson asks groggily. Gross.

"That's my ride to school," I pause. "And your girlfriend."

"Oh." Is all he says.

"Seriously, why do you honk the horn three times?" I question, waving my hands in the air before getting in the car.

"Because I like beeping it three times, woman!"

"Well, I do have neighbors and they're probably ecstatic that you woke them up," I scoff.

"They should me," Brittni mumbles.

"How do you feel today? You drank a lot at that party," I smile at her. Even though she was a major pain in my ass that night, she's still pretty funny when she's drunk. She's like a little squirrel.

"I'm way better. God, that was horrible, I'm never drinking that much again," she groans.

"You say that every time you get drunk," I laugh. "Yet you keep doing it."

"What can I say, I like to party!" She shrugs, then starts moving her arms in jellyfish motions, letting the car swerve to the other lane.

"The car, Brittni!" I shout, holding onto the door for the dear life.

She scoffs. "Please, I've done way more than that while driving."

"I don't even want to know," I mumble, leaning my head into my hand.

Once we get to the school, we hop out of the car, Brittni flanking my left side.

"So, what happened with Trevor yesterday?" Brittni whispers, very close to my ear, might I add.

I move my head away in disgust. "Nothing really. He thought I was cheating on him with Colten and we got in an argument."

"Why'd he think that?" She scrunches up her eyebrows in confusion.

"Because Colten gave me a ride to school yesterday."

"Really?" She asks astonished.

"Yeah..." I drag out.

"I still don't see why you're hiding your feelings from him," she shakes her head, obviously dissing my tactics.

"What feelings?" I play innocent. If Brittni were to hear that I have feelings for Colten still, she would surely tell Jackson, and Jackson being Colten's closest friend would tell him. It would blow up in my face and bye, bye Trevor.

"You know what I'm talking-"

"Oh, look what the cat dragged in." I look up to be met with Cole's scrutinizing gaze. His arms are crossed over his chest with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Same goes for you, Burt," I spit. This only makes him laugh. I really don't understand why he hates me so much? He's the one who came on to me, I only pushed him away because I had a boyfriend.

Sure, Cole is attractive, but I'm not attracted to him. There's a difference.

"Anyways, I didn't come to argue with you who is more trashy," wow. "I came to talk to you about your little fight with Trevor."

"What about it?"

"Did you guys break up?"

"What does this have to do with you?" I ask, confused.

"Well, if you're single, I can show you a good time," he takes a step closer, a smirk appearing on his face. He's attempting to seduce me, but it won't work.

"Oh please, I'm sure I would have better time in the garbage bin," I sneer. I hear a couple 'ooo's' and 'ahhs' but all I'm focused on is the vile human being in front of me.

"I can arrange that."

"Back off dirt bag," I spit, walking away that's until he grabs my elbow, spinning me around into his chest. "Get off."

"No one walks away from Cole Burt," Cole replies coldly, a grimace taking up his lips.

"She said get off." We all turn our heads to get a good look at who called Cole lot. Low and behold, Adam Donaldson.

"What are you going to do about it, Donaldson?" Cole taunts. His little buddies snickering behind him.

"Not me, but I'm pretty sure Jackson Long and Colten Mathews won't have a problem handling you if you even so lay a finger on her," Adam is taunting him, almost questioning if he wants to get his head slammed in repeatedly. Of course, all the guys hear know who Jackson and Colten are, they were really good football players when they were here. The quarterback being my brother.

"How would they find out, huh?" Cole counters back, seeming not as confident as before.

"I'm actually pretty good friends with them, I wouldn't mind spilling the beans," Adam smirks.

"Whatever," Cole grumbles, removing his hand, taking one last look at Adam then me and walks away with his entourage.

"Why'd you do that?" I ask Adam. He and I have only exchanged a few words since the incident that happened two years ago. I was embarrassed because of my brother and his stupid best friend, who had walked in on us almost having sex, Adam and I really haven't talked after that. It's sad really.

"Why wouldn't I?" He shrugs.

"I don't know... I guess I thought you just stopped caring after what happened." It's stupid I know.

"I never stopped caring, and don't think Colten has either." He walks away without another word.

I was hoping to avoid all sources of drama this year, but I don't think that's ever really possible, is it?

"Come on, let's get to class," Brittni appears by my side again, and leads me into the school.

This year has been more interesting than it has since sophomore year, and I'm not that enthusiastic about what is to come.

With Colten coming back, declaring he still loves me, the party, Trevor an I's fight. Me talking to Adam, even, is eventful.

I just hope that I can get away from this unscathed, but something tells me that most likely I won't.

I will be more scarred then ever before.

I know, it's just a filler chapter. The real action is in chapter nineteen and twenty, I just had to get that out in the open. Be expecting a update tomorrow, if not then definitely Friday.
