" What are you doing here?", asked a shocked Juhi.

" Answer my question, first!", he was not ready to budge.

She looked into her bag, and opened her phone to find 18 missed calls from him. The phone was on silent.

She looked up at him praying to the almighty to save her from his wrath, "I'm sorry! It was on silent and I didn't check it after our call in the lunch."

He was annoyed, he clenched his hands, " I don't know, what should I say?", his hands unclenched, " Its okay, it is not your fault."

He looked at the ground below and said, " I'm sorry, I should have not come here. Will not happen again."

Juhi's mouth gaped open at that.

Nodding to himself, he looked up to see her staring at him. She was stunned and opened her mouth twice but no words came out.

He nodded at her and turned to go back to his car.

Juhi came out of the trance when she saw Vikram entering his car. The driver didn't wait a second for her to call him, but drove him off.

Juhi's eyes watered. He came all the way over here to find her because of her careless attitude and he was disappointed within a minute. He didn't wait for her reply as well and drove off.

Wiping the tear that fell on her cheek, she breathed in and walked to her car. Once inside, she typed a message,
J: Can we talk when you are free?

She kept staring at her phone for a long while. Was he deliberately not answering the text to prove his point? But then she knew Vikram didn't use those shallow techniques.

She concluded he was upset with her and did not bother to check on his phone. Sighing, she kept hers aside, ready to give him some much needed space.

Him, on the other hand, had his head resting on the headrest. He needed to calm down. He had to attend a meeting but he had decided to check up on Juhi which did not turn out as expected.

He had variety of thoughts going on in his head but none of them were true. It was plain carelessness on her part which annoyed him. The part that her not messaging back annoyed him, made his temper flare. What was wrong with him?

Massaging his head to rid of tiredness he stared out the window. He had to calm down as he was close to the meeting spot.

Soon, the car pulled in front of the meeting spot. He sighed and got back to business mode.

The meeting was a success. His personal worries forgotten and business accomplishments cherished.

He got inside the car and checked his phone to find Juhi's message. It was half past nine in the night. 'She should be done with dinner', with that thought, he called her,
" Hello!"

" Hi!"

" I'm sorry, Vikram. I should not be so careless."

" It is ok, Juhi. What is done is done.", he sighed.
He was tired. He had back to back meetings and moreover he had to go check on her because she didn't answer the phone, her office was completely opposite to his route for the day, which added to his tiredness.

" No Vikram, I'm sorry!"

" How many times will you apologize?", he chuckled.

" I don't know, I acted like a child today.", she grumbled.

" Let it slide. Just don't  ignore my calls like that."

" I swear I didn't ignore them."

" Ok, then don't ignore your phone. Please!", he chuckled.

She laughed, " Ok, done!"

" Fine, I'll talk later."

" Wait are you busy?"

" Not really."

" Uhh...do you mind talking about your day?", he smiled at her, and gave her the reply.

Thus began a chat which stopped when Vikram got back home and was busy with the files.

Juhi looked at her side table to find the flowers from yesterday. She hugged them to her chest.

Now she had the answer to her parents' question. She smiled and went to sleep, dreaming of the man in black suit having black eyes.
