Your phone was ringing, it was Sunday and it woke you up. You managed to muster out an 'I've been awake for hours!' voice, even though you looked like you climbed out of a horror movie.

"Hello?" You answered the phone, looking at the contact. It was Teruhashi, apparently she had something important to ask you.

"Hello, Y/N! Next Friday is Saikis Birthday! Do you think you could help bake some treats for the party were planning?" Teruhashi asked, you were beyond confused, it was early may, and saikis birthday was in august.

"Well I can bake some treats, yeah, but-" you were cut off by Teruhashi.

"Great! Stay after school on Wednesday and Thursday!" She said, as chipper as ever, then hung up on you.

You looked at your phone in disbelief, set it down, and groaned into your pillow as you went back to sleep.

     ~Time Skip~

It was Wednesday, you were hanging out with Kuboyasu while you waited for the others to get stuff from their lockers and whatnot.

It did hurt you a little when you had to tell Saiki he couldn't come over to your house on Wednesday, you kept the secret that everyone was planning a surprise party for him hidden though.

Teruhashi, Yumehara, Chisato, Kaido, Kubuyasu, and Hairo were there, talking about plans for how it's going to go.

"Guys saikis-" you tried to explain, only to be shut up by Yumehara, being told that you should bake the cake.

"But guys-...ugh never mind." You realized your words fell on deaf ears as everyone was chitter chatting away about the party.

You decided you would just bake a cake and get it over with and apologize to saiki after this chaotic mess was done and dealt with.

Saikis POV:

     So that's what they're planning.

Honestly, I can't blame them for being confused. Kaido ran into my mom who told him my dads birthday, so it all checks out.

I just feel especially bad for Y/N, they left her most of the work, not to mention tomorrow she has to go help everyone pick out gifts for me.

She needs to communicate her feelings better, I can hear her angry thoughts from a mile away.

Your POV:

On Friday, you were basically dragging your feet to get to school. You saw Saiki, and just felt tired.

'I should probably tell him...he probably has an idea how to get away from this...maybe.' You thought, as you sped up your walking pace to catch up with him.

"Hey Saiki, can I ask you something?" You asked, not even bothering with formal greetings at that point.

Saiki nodded.

"How would you feel if I told you that your friends were surprising you with a birthday party even though it's your dads birthday.." you said, speaking a bit too fast for your liking.

"Id like you to tell me. It would only cause trouble on both ends." Saiki replied, always so logical with everyone. You admired that about him.

"Well...they're planning on doing exactly that. Do you have any idea on how to get everyone out of this?" You questioned, desperately trying to figure out a way to escape this misunderstanding.

"You were probably put on baking, just give the cake to someone else before the party and make an excuse, then go to this adress." Saiki responded, you were always so shocked about saikis ability to see a possible escape route in unexpected situations. This wasn't the first time this has happened either.

"Uh..alright." You said, straightening your back as you approached the school.

The school day dragged on without end, until the girls insisted on walking home with you.

"Y/N, were so excited to see the cake you made!" Teruhashi exclaimed, she truly did seem happy.

You all were laughing and joking along the way to your house, and when you revealed the cake, it was a red velvet double layered cake with a simplistic cream cheese frosting design.

"Wow! It looks awesome Y/N!" Yumehara complimented, while Teruhashi was holding back Chisato.

"Thank you Yumehara, but..can you all do me a favor?" You asked, ready to implement the plan Saiki told you to follow.

The girls nodded, and looked at you with questioning gazes and glances.

"I kind of applied for a babysitting gig a week back and I can't make it to saikis surprise birthday...do you all think you can deliver the cake?" You asked, lying through your teeth. Apparently, you were a good liar.

"Oh, Y/N, of course! We understand!" Soon your house was flooded with comments like this, and you had to usher the ladies out when the clock hit 5, because that's when the so called surprise party was happening.

You went out through your back door and went to the address Saiki told you. Apparently, a little kid named Yuuta lived there, and Saiki was actually babysitting.

You were invited in, and you honestly really liked the kid. He was fully invested in comics and reminded you a lot of your younger cousins.

You and Saiki spent the rest of the night looking after Yuuta while his mom was working late.
