As soon as I slammed my locker shut, I came face to face with Amanda Stage.

Wow. What a glorious way to start the morning.

I sighed. "May I help you?"

I wasn't in for drama for breakfast that day, I was sort of full.

She folded her arms with an angry expression.

Was she ever 'not' angry in her whole life?

I mean she was like this miserable person that wanted everyone to be miserable.

You know how they say misery loves company?

"A friend of mine told me that they saw you and Nathan at the beach yesterday."

"Well I think you need to evaluate the credibility of your sources of information because we weren't the only ones there. When you say it like that, it sounds like a date."

She raised a palm to shut me up. "Enough. Your voice is annoying."

Speak for yourself.

She sounded like a cat being choked.

"This is the last time I will take time out of my busy schedule to warn you to stay away from Nathan. Or it will get nasty."

Oh Boy. Was she delusional?

I drew a hard long breath. "Look Amanda. I think you are paging the wrong person, you see, for the hundredth time, Nathan and I are not dating, the person you should be worried about is over there."

I pointed to Elizabeth who was laughing at the corner of the hall while her arms were around Nathan's neck.

I gave Amanda, who had an angry glare while she stared at them, a smug smile before shrugging and walking away.

I handled that like a savage.

"I'm home!" I announced, pushing my house door opened just to be greeted with the sight of Max, kissing a girl on the couch as they groped each other.

I turned my back quickly, 100 percent sure that I had become traumatized by the sight.

Imagine your brother, kissing a girl's face.

Ew.

"Shit Chels, you're home early, did you ride with Nate?" He sounded panicked and I could hear a pants buckle being fixed.

My brother claimed to have been sick with the flu that morning so he didn't go to school but apparently he had magically recovered considering he was here, kissing the life out of someone.

"Nope, took the bus, I see you're better," I stated, my back still turned while I spoke. I wasn't going to risk turning around and becoming blind. "Devine healing, huh?"

"Was a miracle, sis," he joked and I heard heels clicking behind me.

I stepped aside and the girl quickly made her way outside. I didn't see her face as she hurried down the steps but she looked familiar from behind.

I blew out my cheeks. "Are you dressed?"

"Always had been."

I spun around and scowled at him. "Mom's favorite couch?"

He shrugged. "It's wherever the mood sets, sis."

I rolled my eyes and he chuckled as I moved to the kitchen throwing my bag on the couch as I did.

I opened the fridge. "Who was she?"

"Meriline."

I turned to him, biting an apple. "Who the hell's Meriline?"

"Well she has a twin sister, apparently Nathan had already banged her twin so I am trying to hit a jackpot too-"

I raised a palm. "Hold up, Nathan had sex with her twin sister?"

"Yeah, why?"

Yeah Chels, why? Why do you care?

I blinked and looked away. "Oh uh, nothing."

"I shouldn't even be telling you this, too much for your innocent ears," he said fixing the cushions on the couch in their respective places.

It was itching me to know how many girls Nathan had ever done it with.

Don't ask me why, I got no idea.

"So uh..." I idly kicked my feet against the tile, mentally bending the question so it doesn't sound too weird. "Like h-how many girls have he ever, like, done it with?"

Max narrowed his eyes. "Why you wanna know that?"

"Oh, no reason."

He chuckled. "Maybe over a dozen."

I almost choked on my apple, coughing excessively.

Max shook his head. "Told you it's too much for your ears. I'll be taking a shower."

He walked away and I stood in awe, processing my thoughts.

Nathan had done it so many times with so many girls apparently.

Why do I even care anyway?

I hissed and threw the apple in the waste bin and grabbed my bag before making my way to my room to change.
