Chelsy

While Brad went to fetch me something to drink, I stood in the living room rubbing my shoulders as I began to feel a bit chilly.

Vicky was nowhere to be found and I prayed she kept away from Max's view so he doesn't find out we were here. I gazed back to the kitchen and realized that Nathan was no longer there.

Suddenly I heard the familiar voice of Max approaching me from behind. I knew my brother's voice anywhere. I looked to see him laughing with some girl, his arms laid lazily over her shoulder and moving in my direction. If he looked up right there and then he would have surely seen me.

Shit!

Quickly, I ran off and made my way around the corner that led to a hall of rooms. I looked to see that Max was still coming in my direction so I turned away and pushed open the first room I saw and ran in, closing the notches behind me as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in relief.

"What you playing? Hide and seek?"

A familiar voice made me jolt in surprise as I turned around and saw Nathan.

He was sitting on a couch lazily, holding a bottle of beer in his hand.

How many of those nasty-tasting things has he been drinking since night? He's always holding one.

I let out a sigh and folded my arms. "How unfortunate to see you in here Nathan."

He chuckled a little before sitting upright in his position. "What, you were hoping it to be Brad?"

I rolled my eyes and made my way over to him, crashing next to him on the couch, the sweet smell of him slapping me right in the face.

Damn.

"Actually he went to get me something to drink," I said responding to his previous question.

"I saw you two," he said.

I looked at him. "What?"

"Coming from that room upstairs."

He met my gaze, and I shifted in discomfort. "So?"

He reached in the pocket of his jeans and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, sliding a stick professionally from the box. "So, did he touch you?"

I furrowed my brows. "That is none of your business, Nate, and why are you holding a pack of cigarettes?"

He slightly laughed as he flicked a lighter, attempting to light the suicide-stick. I grabbed it from his hand.

He flashed me a gaze.

"Smoking kills," was all I said as I crushed it and threw it aside.

He smirked, his eyes narrowed in amusement. "Worried about me?"

Yeah.

"Nope, I just don't like funerals."

He didn't say another word about that as he leaned back against the couch. "You didn't answer."

Flashing my hair from my eyes I peered over at him to find him already staring at me. "Did he touch you, Princess?"

His expression looked serious and it was an unusual sight to see, very awkward and unusual might I add.

I swallowed hard. "And what if he did?"

I noticed a flash of anger in his eyes as he let out a harsh breath. "It's your choice, if you want to be one of those girls."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "One of those girls?"

"Yeah, one of those girls Brad has sex with then don't call them back the next day."

"He won't do that to me."

"What makes you so sure?"

Nathan was right. What made me so sure? But the fact that Nathan was right and was always so right pissed me off more than anything else.

"You don't need to worry about that, or me."

He nodded. "I know, but just don't make yourself look cheap. And judging how you are all over him despite being stood up the other night, you are on your way to being nothing but a f*ck-time."

This was the part of Nathan that reminded me how much I hated him.

Something about what he said angered me. But why? Maybe it was because part of what he said was kind of true. I got stood up by Brad and here I was still being all over him. Although he had a pretty good excuse, I knew deep down Brad was not half as interested as I was.

Nathan brought his beer to his lips again and my eyes burned with angry tears. "It is none of your business, Nathan Sharles."

He removed the bottle and licked his lips, offering a light shrug. "Okay. But just so you know, you look cheap as hell right then, leaving that room with him."

He rest his bottle on the ground while my eyes stayed steady on him with great anger. He reached for another cigarette from the pack that lay in his lap and this time, I grabbed the whole package from him.

"You seriously need to stop doing that P," he said, now looking annoyed.

"And you seriously need to stop watching me. What I do with Brad is my business."

He ran a hand through his hair. "Sure it is, not like I truly care anyway, it's your life Princess."

"And stop calling me that."

He stretched out his hand. "Could I get those back?"

I tucked it behind me from his reach. "No. When have you started smoking things like this anyway?"

He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Does Max smoke too?"

"Give it back, while I am asking nicely."

"Or else what?"

Suddenly he leaned over me, and I pressed my back against the arm of the sofa with wide eyes due to how close his face was. I could smell the whiskey that he was drinking but it didn't make me want to gag. It was actually, kind of sexy. Not to mention how awesome he smelled over me.

I'd take his cigarettes any day.

My eyes stayed on his and my heart was beating at an unhealthy rate.

He smiled. "You sure are disobedient, aren't you?"

I swallowed and blinked up at him, my hand still clutching the pack of lung-cancer behind me tightly.

It wasn't that I cared about Nathan so much as I was just a goody-two-shoes who just didn't like to see any sort of rebellious actions. The fact that he and my brother seemed to be smoking from time to time, what would be next, drugs?

I swallowed and parted my lips to speak. "Personal space much?"

"Give my stuff back, or it just might get worse."

I scoffed. "Ha. Make me."

"Should I?"

I gave a light shrug pretending to be confident when my heart was beating out of control then immediately regretted challenging him when he pressed his forehead against mine, our nose colliding.

Wait, wow. I wasn't ready.

I stiffened. His blue eyes stayed on mine while his body pressed me into the soft cushions of the sofa. I could feel his rock-hard abs beneath his shirt.

Nathan had come over almost every day without his shirt so I knew he was blessed with abs but they never phased me. Until now.

"Give it back," he whispered. His words sounded like a flirt instead of an order.

"N-no."

His eyes fell to my lips and his head slowly moved in as if to kiss me. I let out a small gasp and squeezed my eyes shut.

What was he doing? What was going on here?!

By now I was close to freaking out and my hold on the cigarettes loosen. I waited to see if he was about to kiss me but instead, he reached his hand behind me and pulled the cigarette box effortlessly from my grip.

The action made me open my eyes to see him smirking down at me in victory.

He bit his lower lip. "Thank you."

He sat up and pushed the cigarettes in his pockets while I jumped upright, my heart thumping and my cheeks on fire.

I was disappointed that he didn't kiss me. Don't ask me why.

And I was embarrassed that I was getting all red beneath him like a fool.

"D-don't ever do that to me again," I demanded, refusing to look at him while I fixed my dress that rode up a small inch due to how I had laid down previously.

Nathan smiled. "Then don't make me have to."

I finally managed to look at him.

"In other words, don't put me in the position to take that approach."

"I know the hell what you meant. I am not Elizabeth so don't be all over me like that," I said getting up to walk out.

He didn't say anything and I stopped in my tracks and turned to him. "And....for your information, Brad and I did nothing."

He smiled. "I know."

I turned away and made my way out, closing the door behind me.

As soon as I stepped out, I bumped into Vicky.

I noticed tears in her eyes and my brows furrowed in concern. "You okay Vee?"

She nodded her head, attempting to wipe her eyes but she was shaking.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"No....I-he"

"Calm down Vee, what happened?"

She flashed her curls from her eyes that were red. "He tried to have sex with me."

I narrowed my eyes. "What? Who?"

"The guy.....the guy who asked me to dance with him, he started to touch me and then I ran away and..."

"Oh gosh Vee," I pulled her in a hug. "It's okay, it's okay."

Anger builds in me. Who dared to touch my best friend?

I moved away "Where the hell is he? And what's his name?"

❤********❤

I found out the little rapist who attempted to grope my best friend was named Derick and he was a part of Max's hockey team.

I spotted him standing and laughing with some dude and I dragged Vee along by her arm and stood in front of him.

"Derick Johnson," I said sternly.

He brought his glare to me and Vicky had her head hung low, timid and still shaken up to face him.

"What is it?" He asked.

"What the hell did you do to my friend?" I asked angrily.

He looked from Vee to me smugly then he laughed. "What? What did she tell you?"

"You tried to touch her, didn't you?!" I angrily said, my tone was getting higher.

"Me? Touch her? She's obviously lying, she looks like a f*cking kid for Christ's sake why would I touch her? She's not my type."

His friend giggled along with him and nothing angered me more.

I raised a hand and shoved him straight in the chest, bringing attention from the kids around, and his friend was saying "Oooooh" in an amused tone. No one dares to laugh at my bestie.

"What the f*ck?!" Derick yelled after almost falling backwards. "Are you insane you little b*tch?!"

"Say you're sorry!" I demanded. "Say you're sorry now you ass!"

Vee pulled at my arm. "It's okay Chels, let's go, it's okay."

"Hell no it's not," I said. "Say sorry Derick or I will report you."

"Report me? Do it and see if I don't ruin your life you little twat."

"F*ck's going on here?" A voice asked.

A very familiar voice. I didn't have to look to know that it was my brother.

"Chels, what are you doing here?" He asked, a small hint of anger in his eyes.

At this point I didn't care that he caught me.

"Derick what business do you have with them?" Nathan, who I had just realised was there too, questioned, his hands in his pockets.

"He touched Vicky, trying to have sex with her like a rapist!" I said.

Max's eyes darkened. "Derick, did you touch my sister's friend?"

Derick rolled his eyes. "They are obviously lying man, why would I touch someone like her? I mean look at her."

Vicky was close to crying again as she held her head down in embarrassment.

Max clenched his jaw. "Look at her? What the hell's wrong with her for me to look at her? She's a perfectly amazing girl to me."

Vee and I looked up at Max. Damn he was actually pretty cool right now. Great job, bro.

"Max you know I don't go for small titties and flat butts," Derick laughed out, and a few ignorant kids giggled around.

"Say that again!" I yelled moving forward, Max pulled me back. "Chels."

He looked at Derick and let out a breath. "Say that again."

Nathan was clenching his jaw the whole time.

Derick's eyes darkened on Max. "I said, both your sister and her friend have small titties and no ass—"

Blap!

Both Nathan and Max fist him straight down at the same time and he fell back hard, almost hitting his head against a table. I jumped back startled.

Damn, I know why Max was angry, but why was Nathan hurt? Was it because Derick mentioned me in his rude statement? It could just be because he cares about Vicky and I both.

Yeah.

"And you're cut from the hockey team you a**hole," Max spat before bringing his gaze to me.

I gave him a thankful glare but he just narrowed his eyes at me, clearly upset. "You. You're getting your butt home right now."

I sighed "I am sorry Max. I know I should have—"

"I don't want to hear anything Chels, this is not a place for you, let's go."

I nodded. "Okay."

Nathan looked at Vicky. "You okay Vee?"

She nodded. "Yeah I am fine."

Max nodded. "Good, let's go home."

As we were about to step away, Brad came on the scene and pulled my hand, "Chelsy what the hell just happened?"

I noticed Nathan looked at his hand on mine and he didn't look pleased.

Max pulled my hand from Brad, anger still evident on his face. "Chelsy is just leaving Pinsely, have a good night," and he pulled me away. Vee and Nathan followed behind.
