Chelsy

"I'm gonna head back now," Brad said, a boyish smile plastered all over his face.

I twirled a lock of hair around my fingers, grinning like a thirteen-year-old. "Okay. See you, thanks for stopping by."

He nodded, his eyes immediately moving down to my lips.

I noticed the action of them and brought my head forward. He gently rested a hand on my cheek and slowly moved in.

The tension was building and based on Nathan's lesson, I felt I was ready for this kiss.

Closer, closer...closer

Bam!

The slamming of my door made us jolt and I darted angry eyes to see Nathan, his hand tucked into his black leather coat, chewing around a gum in his mouth while he stood on my patio. "Oh, sorry to interrupt."

That was definitely intentional based on the smirk he was wearing.

What the hell was wrong with him? I was trying to stop thinking about his ass over here! But if he wasn't running around in my head, he was ruining the only medicine I had right then.

Brad rolled his eyes, annoyed at the interruption before jamming his hands into his jeans' pockets. "Next time, we'll meet in my car," he whispered. "No interruption there."

I gave him an apologetic face.

It was not his fault I had a controlling brother and a psychotic 'friend.'

"See you, Chels," he said before walking away and hopping into his car. He drove away at full speed and I marched over to Nathan angrily, pointing at him.

"You did that on purpose."

"Did not," he said, leaning against my door, a smug smile all over his face, chewing the gum around in his mouth.

"You knew he was about to kiss me and you blew it!"

He raised his palms. "Listen, you guys were taking too long, I mean what's up with the slow-motion? I needed to go home and I wasn't going to wait until you two locked lips, whenever that would be." He chuckled as he leaned off my door and began his journey down my steps.

I followed behind him deciding that I wasn't ready to rest the case, then jumped in his path, almost causing him to fall.

"What's your deal?" I asked, my arms folded.

He raised a brow. "What do you mean?"

"You know how much I was waiting for that. You ruined it." I poked at his chest and he gripped my hand, pulling me forward, almost making me bump into his chest.

He looked down at me, a serious expression was on his face before his smile came back. "You want a kiss so bad? Then kiss me."

I blinked up at him.

He raised a brow then brought his face forward as if to kiss me.

I backed away quickly and he laughed.

"S-stop playing with me. Next time I will meet him at his house instead."

I began to move past him when he spoke:

"His house? Really, princess?"

I spun around to look at him. "Yeah no interruptions there."

"Do you even know what happens when you go to a guy's house?"

I shrugged. "Let the chips fall where they may."

Nathan's lips formed a line as anger flashed in his eyes. "I will f*cking tell Max."

"Then go ahead."

I gave a sinister smile as I turned away and made my way inside before he could say anything else.

"Earth to Chels," Vicky waved her hand in front of my face in Physical Education class and I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her.

"Oh. Vee, what's wrong?"

"You are so out of it. What you thinking about?" She asked as she did some stretches.

I shrugged as I fidgeted nervously in my stance. "Just some stuff..."

"Like what?"

Like how good Nathan's lips felt on mine.

"Like the Math homework I didn't get a chance to complete last night."

Vicky smiled. "It's okay, you can copy mine."

I grinned. "Thanks, Vee."

"Oh my God!"

The voice of none other than Amanda Stage brought our gazes to see her jumping up and down with blushing cheeks as she eyed Nathan who was shirtless with some other guys, warming up at the bottom of the field, a few feet away from us. It seemed we were sharing the field with his year group that day.

It totally distracted me from my warm-ups, as I paused, staring at how the sweat dripped down his shirtless body and along his tight six-pack, and how sexy he looked as he laughed with another guy, his white teeth beaming while he whipped his black hair from his eyes.

Damn, how come I didn't notice how attractive Nathan had been before?

Was this a part of the puberty transition for me?

"Chels watch out!"

I turned just in time for a ball to hit me straight in the face.

BLAP!

Amanda and her friend chuckled as I fell hard against the grass.

Vicky glared at them angrily. "That's not funny, what the hell is wrong with you guys?!"

Amanda flashed her hair from her eyes. "That's to bring her back to reality, she was totally out of it." And they giggled.

Apparently Amanda did that to humiliate me.

Vicky bent over me as I held my forehead in pain. "You okay, Chels?"

I nodded, then I saw a familiar build hovered over me.

Nathan.

"You okay Princess?" He asked, worry lining his face that was still dripping with perspiration.

Amanda and her friend weren't laughing anymore now that they saw that Nathan was assisting me.

I tried sitting up as he held my arm to help me up.

"I am fine," I said, ironically scrunching my face up at the slight ache in my head.

"Oh shit, Chels, you're bleeding!" Vicky gasped, holding her mouth in shock.

I touched my face and when my hand brushed my nose, I felt a liquid.

I looked at my hand and gasped in terror at the thick red fluid. "Oh my God, Oh my God."

"It's okay, come on," Nathan coached, helping me to stand as he led me to the outside pipe behind the fields.

He turned the pipe on and instructed that I hung my face over. He then began washing the blood off.

"Ow..." I moaned.

"You'll be fine soon."

When he was done, he dipped in his pocket and pulled out a handkerchief.

He gestured to wipe my face but I moved away. "No it's okay-"

He gripped my hand and pulled me forward. "Shh," he whispered as he wiped my face off.

The whole time I kept gazing up at him,

I felt my heart racing.

Normally Nathan was the one to make me hurt, pushing me off my bike, stealing my sweets and running off until I chased after him and fell but now, he was the one healing me.

Time changes things.

My eyes landed on his lips and how he had pulled his bottom flesh between his teeth in focus as he tended to me. I wouldn't mind somehow getting the chance to kiss those red pink things again-

Suddenly his eyes fell to mine and I looked at the ground quickly.

Realizing where my eyes had been focused, he smiled knowingly. "It's done."

I nodded, stepping back. "Uh, thank you."

"Here." He handed me the kerchief. "You can keep it."

I raised a brow. "You sure?"

He smiled and nodded.

"Okay, thank you." I smiled. "I will put it in my gift basket."

He laughed. "You have a gift basket?"

"Yeah, where I keep all my gifts, pretty self-explanatory."

"Okay, I don't deserve to be with all the rest though, my gift is special."

I lifted the sky blue kerchief in the air and analysed it. "What so special about it?"

"My sweat is on it," and he laughed.

"Ew!" I chuckled while pushing it at him.

He tittered. "I am kidding, it smells good, though. Smells a lot like...me," Then he bit his lower lip.

I found my eyes staring at them for some odd reason before I looked away. "Okay. I will keep it somewhere special, just as a way to say thank you for caring for me just now."

"Special like where?"

"In my shoe." I giggled moving off.

He laughed. "You wouldn't dare!"

I spun around and stuck my tongue out at him before running onto the field to join Vicky in her warm-ups.
