Chelsy

I sat on my couch evil-eyeing Max, hoping he would leave so I could get the house to myself so my boyfriend and I could have some alone time. It was obvious that wasn't going to happen anytime soon, because he was so indulged in his stupid game.

The doorbell wrung, and I got off the couch and moved toward it; Max's eyes and focus were still glued to the TV that I doubt he heard that someone was at the door.

I pulled it open with a smile. "Hey, Nat-"

"Hi, Chels," a girly voice spoke then Shelly's head poked out from behind Nathan's shoulder.

I clenched a fist at my side and Nathan gave a subtle roll eyes. It was obvious she followed him along here without him wanting that.

"Can we come in?" She grinned, pushing past me without waiting for my response and running into my living room.

I folded my arms. "What is she doing here, Nate?"

He sighed. "My mom came home while I was leaving and insisted that I take her along."

I took a deep breath. "Okay, it can't be helped."

"I'm sorry, Princess, I know you're not fond of her."

You think?

I shrugged. "It's your Mom's order, come on in."

Nathan stepped inside, and I closed the door and followed behind him to see Shelly sitting next to Max, getting excited about the car game he was playing.

"You play these games?" Max asked her, still keeping his eyes on the TV.

"Yeah duh. I play all sorts," Shelly giggled, folding her feet underneath her. "Can I try when you're done?"

He smiled. "Hell yes, it's sexy when a girl can play."

She chuckled and looked across at Nathan who crashed on the single couch beside theirs. "See? He says it's sexy, you're missing out on a good thing."

Nathan didn't reply, if anything he looked annoyed.

That made two of us.

Shelly made me feel irked, I couldn't bear being in the same space as her for too long so I decided to invite Vicky over, having my best friend around would be a lot better. I shot her a text and she said she would be there soon, making me feel relieved. I decided to make some snacks until she got here.

"Hey, Nate?"

He looked up at me.

"Help me make some snacks, would you?" I asked, gesturing a thumb to the kitchen.

I subtly bit my lip and he got the code, a hint of desire in his deep blue eyes.

He smiled. "Sure, why not?"

He got off the couch to move off when Shelly looked from me to him and hopped up quickly, jumping into his path.

"I will help you out," she said. "You can sit, Nathan."

Could I murder her?

Nathan sighed, looking pissed as he found his spot back on the couch.

I forced a smile but I knew it looked far as hell from genuine but I didn't care, it was the best I could do right now.

I turned away and she followed me to the kitchen.

"So what snacks are you preparing?" She asked, a smile on her face.

I pulled some bowls from the cabinet and rested them on the table. "Just throwing Doritos and Lays into these bowls."

She shrugged. "Okay, no problem."

We began doing that. All the while I was trying my hardest not to lash out at her for interrupting the only chance I had to be alone with my boyfriend. Seriously, what was her deal?

"By the way, as a girl to a girl, Nathan has really sexy abs," she commented.

I froze. Did she just say what I heard her say?

I brought a confused gaze to her. "How can you even see that when he's wearing a shirt?"

She smiled. "Oh no, I was in his room earlier and he wasn't wearing a shirt, it was a sexy sight to see."

I blinked at her, feeling my heart doing some crazy flips in my chest at the statement she just made.

Why was she in Nathan's room?

And why was he not wearing a shirt?

"His mom wasn't home too, I kind of like it when it is just us two, crazy things can happen, you know?" And she put a triangular chips in her mouth with a grin. "Can I take this out? My feet hurt from standing too much."

And she grabbed the bowl and walked out into the living room, crashing beside Max and laughing and pointing at the game he was playing. My gaze was stuck on her as my mind ran wild.

What the hell was going on?

They were home alone.

She was in his room.

And he wasn't wearing a shirt.

And we all know the dangers of being inside Nathan's room alone and without a shirt, I had been there before.

I swallowed back angry emotions, coaching myself to remain calm as I focused on getting a bag of cheesy chips inside a glass bowl.
