"So, I'm guessing that was the Brianna you were talking about?" I ask Ava as I look at my water-soaked shirt through the mirror.

"No, she's one of her friends, actually," Ava says as she hands me a top. I look at the piece of cloth and groan. It's black but that's not the problem. It is so small that my stomach is going to show and no doubt, it's going to be a little small for me.

Not to mention- tight.

"Ven, this is the only thing I have," Ava says sternly as she pushes me in one of the cubicles. It's either the soaked white shirt or this. I try it on.

"I don't feel comfortable, it's just too tight," I mumble.

"Not my fault that my boobs are smaller than yours. We don't want you to catch cold, go now," Ava says with a roll of eye and a small smile.

"You look hot, stop worrying. Ace will probably drool over you," Ava says in a teasing tone as she looks at me once I'm done.

I choke on my own spit.

"But they say Ace is gay, he hasn't dated a single girl," Ava adds. What kind of logic is that? I start coughing rapidly and Ava pats my back, laughing throughout.

Oh God, could it be true?

"Let's eat before the bell rings," Ava drags me outside and I feel a little odd as some guys stare at me. Gaining attention isn't difficult after all, is it? Just show a bit of skin and tada! You have their attention.

Once we're back, almost every eye is on me. Groaning silently, I follow Ava to the table. Blake gives me a low whistle and I blush. I know he isn't hitting on me or anything, he's been acting like an older brother I never had. It's a friendly whistle.

Jackson, however, has an evil glint in his eyes as he eyes me. I shudder as I look away. Samantha is not here today.

"Another stupid rumour," Ava mumbles as she looks behind me. I turn around to find Ace's eyes on me and even though he is three tables away, his gaze is so intense and piercing, other people notice it too. I look away. I notice Blake and Jackson looking at Ace too and it looks like there's this weird telepathy going on. I munch on my lunch in silence. Wow, that rhymed.

The day passes quite quickly. Thanks to Ava's tee, I've had six guys hit on me, note my sarcasm. I walk to my locker in relief, the day's over. Yay. The fact that I'm going to Ace's home excites me.

"Venus, I almost forgot," Ava says as she runs to me.

"I got you a roommate," she says as she gasps for air. She had no reason to run just to say this.

"It's Samantha," she says after catching her breath. My eyes widen.

"She doesn't seem to like me," I cringe when my voice comes high pitched.

Ava rolls her eyes. "She isn't that bad. There is mostly a reason behind someone being the way they are. She's had a difficult past," she says softly.

Ava is her friend and if she is telling me Samantha isn't bad, I should believe her.

"Okay. When is she coming?" I ask.

"Right now, actually. We can go by my car, let's go," Ava drags me to her car and I sigh. I hope she isn't that bad.

By the time we reach my apartment, Samantha is waiting outside. I offer her a small smile and she ignores it. She's downright rude to me. I show her around and her expression is completely blank.

Ace and Samantha would make a great pair.

The thought causes my heart to constrict and a burning feeling develops in my chest. I've been feeling weird things, I sigh.

Why do I hurt myself with my own imaginations?

"When do I move in?" Samantha asks as she pops her chewing gum. "Whenever you want to," I answer her before my phone vibrates in my pocket.

I check my phone and a gasp follows next. How could I forget?

You sure like making people wait, don't you kitten?

It's a text from Ace and I look at the time. Oh no.

"Ava," I say sweetly as I flutter my eyes. She chuckles as she asks me what I want.

"Drive me to Ace's home?"

Her eyebrows shoot up in surprise and she starts coughing, choking on her spit. Samantha also looks at me. "For the assignment," I add.

"Sure," Ava sounds excited once she has collected herself. They look at each other and share a knowing look. I brush it off and follow Ava outside.

It takes us fifteen minutes to reach. Samantha will be moving tonight, she texts me. Ace lives the rich neighbourhood. Of course the norm, the mystery boy of the school has to be handsome, rich and sexy. Also, athletic. With a toned body. His body. Venus!

Ava looks at the mansion in front of us in awe. It is quite beautiful.

"Ten years from now, you could be living here, Venus," Ava says dreamily. My eyes widen.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing," she answers sheepishly. I roll my eyes as I get out and wave her bye. Taking a deep breath, I walk inside. I groan when I realize I hadn't changed into something more comfortable and had the same black blouse on. Let's see if I get hit on for the seventh time, I mumble dryly as I stand in front of the door.

A shirtless Ace answers the door, a towel hanging on his shoulders and his hair wet. He looks at me with his signature expression, the same blank one.

"H-hey," I say as I try not to look at his body. Extremely difficult, I am telling you. Extremely difficult.

The mansion is eerily quiet. "Do you live alone?" I ask him. He mumbles a quick yes and keeps walking. Once we're in front of the door to his room, he turns around and looks at me with something I do not recognize.

A second later, he opens the door.

I look around. The room smells like him. It's painted off white and everything is neatly arranged, a complete contrast to his personality. He just keeps surprising me, doesn't he?

However, my eyes find a small bag sitting on the corner of the floor. A Victoria's Secret bag.

I look at Ace and see the tip of his ears turning red. I again look at the bag, realization finally dawns on me.

The bag I dropped the day I bumped into him. My eyes widen and my cheeks heat up, turning scarlet.

What is my bag of underwears doing in Ace's room?

Those of you who do not remember, go back and read chapter one ;)
