Lisa's POV

The shift is over, and it's time to go home. I was so excited to leave the company, knowing that Jennie and I were going somewhere when Jisoo called me.

"Lisayah, uncle wants to see you."

"Alright. Don't wait for me, Chu." I said and gathered my things before heading out.

"Lis, aren't you coming home with us?" Seulgi asked the moment she entered our office.

"Chu said, dad wants to see me." I simply replied.

"Oh, okay. Say hi to Uncle for me." She said, gathering her things, and I nodded.

"Drive safely, guys. See you tomorrow." I said as I decided to accompany them to the parking lot.

"See you, Manofoot!"

"Good luck on your date!"

"Stole a kiss from Jennie!"

They teased while waving their arms before driving away. I smiled and shook my head before heading back to the company.

--

"Hey, Dad." I called as soon as I entered his office.

"Lisa! I miss you, my daughter." He stood up from his seat and approached me.

"As if you didn't see me last week." I chuckled and hugged him.

"I just want to see you. You know, father duties." He said and laughed.

Dad still treats me like a kid. But I love him like that because he never failed to give me attention despite being busy at work. I'm still his baby girl, according to him.

"So, how's work?" He asked as we were seated.

"It's fine, same old. Tiring but it's fun." I answered.

"Don't you still want to take my position?"

"Dad," I uttered as I looked at him intently.

"You already know what my answer to that is, right?"

Yep, we're working at my dad's company, or should I say our company. We have different branches around Asia, but I chose to work here in South Korea so that I can still be with my family and my friends. I love living simply, so as long as I can, I'll continue to live that way.

He's my inspiration for why I took engineering. We quite share the same interests in life, which will also explain why we're so close. No one knows I'm the CEO's daughter except for Jisoo and Seulgi. I want to experience working from the bottom before taking up his position someday. It feels different when you learn from your own mistakes and what you really worked hard for.

"Alright, if that's what you still want, I understand. I won't pressure you. Just enjoy what you are doing." He said and tapped my shoulder.

"Thanks, Dad. I love you!" I replied and gave him a hug.

"So, when will you let me meet your girl? Wait, do you even have a girlfriend?" He asked and chuckled.

I suddenly realized that Jennie is waiting for me because of what my dad asked. I glanced at the clock, and it was already 6:45 p.m.

"Uh, about that.. I still don't have a girlfriend, but I really have to go now, Dad. I'll meet a friend." I answered and fixed my clothes.

"You mean a date?" he asked and gave me a knowing smile.

"Yes. A date." I answered and smiled back.

--

I knocked on the door and waited for Jennie. I know it's my apartment, but Jennie is staying here with me in the meantime. It shows more respect to knock and let her open it for me than to barge in without giving her notice.

Jennie opened the door, and I was greeted with a contagious smile. It feels like my whole world stopped and my heart skipped a beat the moment I saw her smiling at me.

If you're not aware, this weapon of yours makes my heart go crazy.

"Hi."

"Hi."

"Hi."

"I uh, you're ready?" I added.

"Yes, I am." Jennie answered, still smiling. Jennie, for Pete's sake, don't kill me.

"Alright. I'll just drop this and take a quick shower, then we'll go." I answered as we entered my apartment.

"Okay, I'll wait for you here on the couch." She said and took my backpack and the plastic bags I was carrying.

"You don't have to."

"Just go take some rest and shower. By the way, I prepared a light meal for you, but I think you bought us something. Let's eat before we go." she said, leaving me with a smile.

--

"Where are we going?" Jennie asked as we sat in the car. We had our dinner at home before leaving. It was dangerous for her to eat outside, so I bought food earlier while I was on my way home.

"You'll love that place for sure." I answered and drove us to our destination.

After a long drive, we're already here.

"Wahhh. It's so beautiful." Jennie uttered in amazement while roaming her sparkling eyes around the view of the city lights.

"You like it?" I asked with a smile. She turns her gaze at me and nods her head like a kid.

"This is where we often go whenever we want to chill and do some stargazing after a tiring day of work," I added.

"You don't go to bars?" she asked.

"Do we look like partygoers?" I asked and chuckled. She just shrugged her shoulders.

"We do, but sometimes fresh air is more comforting than inhaling the smell of alcohol and clouds of smoke from cigarettes." I answered, and she nodded.

I opened the trunk of my car to get the blanket and the food I had bought earlier. I placed it near the cliff, where we could see the whole city of Seoul lit up. I sat on the blanket and patted my right side to invite Jennie. We were silent for a moment until she spoke.

"I called my mom earlier." Jennie said after a short while of silence. I looked at her and nodded as a signal for her to continue and to say that I was listening.

"She wants me to go home, but I refused because I'm, uh, I'm not yet r-ready to face them." She added as she looked down. I heave a sigh and move a bit closer to her.

"Don't pressure yourself, Jennie. I think your mom would understand. If you need help, I'm just here, alright?" I said and gave her a comforting smile as she looked back at me and mouthed me a Thank you. She turned her gaze back to the scenery with a smile.

"Why did you bring me here?" she suddenly asked.

"I just want you to breathe something I do not have inside my apartment." I said, and Jennie chuckled.

"But seriously, I want to take you outside so that you can enjoy and breathe out all the negative energies for a while." I added as I looked at her. She's staring at the beautiful view in front of us with a smile on her face.

I just stare at her the whole time that we're here. I see that she's enjoying this moment with her eyes closed. Just smiling and letting the not-so-cold breeze hit her beautiful face. I turned my gaze back to the city lights when Jennie opened her eyes. I secretly shoot some glances at her, admiring how beautiful this view is beside me.

I never look at anyone the way I look at you.

You're staring at the beautiful view in front of us,

while I only stare at the beautiful you.

"Lisa?"

"Hmm?"

"Thank you." Jennie said as she shifted her position and focused her gaze on me. I turned my gaze to her and stared into her beautiful eyes.

"Thank you for always being with me. From the time that I needed someone to understand me until now You didn't force me to explain anything as if you already knew why, and I'm beyond happy that it's you who found me at my darkest moment." She said with her eyes only focused on me.

"Anything for you, Jennie." I replied and gave her a warm smile. I hitched when Jennie rested her head on my shoulder and clung to my arm.

"I also want to say sorry for always annoying the hell out of you." I added, and she giggled.

"It's fine. I guess that thing brought us to this close. You're not as hard to be with as I thought, Lisa. I feel safe whenever I'm with you." Jennie said that made my heart skip a beat.

If you only knew, every second is a treasure with you.

Forget about those butterflies in my stomach. I feel the whole zoo whenever I'm with you.

"Please don't forget about me when the time comes that we'll have to part ways, and I'll do the same. I will never forget you, Lisa." Jennie added as she shifted her head toward me.

"I never regret meeting you, Jennie Kim." I answered and stared back at her.

We're having this intense staring battle until our faces are half an inch away from each other, barely touching our noses. I saw her eyes look down at my lips and then back at my eyes, and so did I. We stared back at each other's eyes, and I couldn't hear anything but the loud beating of my heart. She's not even backing herself away.

Do you want this, Jennie? Do you like me too? Do you..

"Screw it!" I internally mumbled and closed my eyes as I leaned in and gently rested my lips on her.

I'm expecting her to push me away and slap me in the face, but it goes the other way around. I slightly opened my eyes and saw that her eyes were also closed. I slowly put my left hand on her cheek as I closed my eyes again and decided to move my lips. I froze at my spot, as I didn't expect her to respond with my kisses. We kissed in sync, and it feels like I'm floating with my heart beating drastically. All I can hear are the leaves rustling in the wind and being whipped into the air, together with the loud rhythm of my heart. It took us a long while before we parted. I was breathing heavily as Jennie was holding my shoulder for support.

"I'm s-sorry." Jennie said as she quickly moved away from me.

"I-we, uh.. shouldn't have done that," she said while looking away from me. I felt a slight pang in my chest, but it was fine. I know she's not expecting it either.

"No, don't say sorry. I should be the one to apologize; I'm the one who initiated it." I calmly replied and gave her a small smile. She's just silent while looking down.

"Hey.." I gently approached her, as she was not responding to me.

"I'm so sorry, Jennie." I added and looked down. I feel like my whole world crashed just because of one kiss and the way she's acting in front of me.

"I'm sorry too, Lisa. I didn't know why I did that." She answered as she heaved a deep sigh, still looking at her feet.

I wonder why you kissed me back when I kissed you because I feel something special about you.

And if you're thinking that I like you, yeah, you're right.

"We're still okay, right?" I asked while looking at her worriedly.

"Yeah, yeah.. we're fine. It's just a k-kiss; come on. We're still friends. We're friends now, right?" Jennie asked while nervously fidgeting her fingers and looking at me with a forced smile.

"Yeah, I mean, of course, we are... friends." I answered and turned my gaze to the scenery with a forced smile. Silently mumbling the word friends.

"Do you wanna go somewhere else before going home?" I asked, changing the topic and the awkward atmosphere around us. She looks calmer now compared to a few minutes ago.

How I wish you didn't regret it.

She looks back at me with a warm smile.

"Let's just stay here for a while before going home." Jennie replied and gently rested her head back on my shoulder. We just stayed silent, enjoying the view and the calm breeze that nature was giving us.

Jennie's POV

We. Kissed.

Lisa. And. I.

We. Kissed.

We freaking kissed! Oh my god!

I should be mad at myself for letting someone with the name Lisa Manoban kiss me. I mean, it's not obvious because of how many freaking rumors I have heard in my whole entertainment life. Something like, I dated this and that. Oh, come on! It's just all rumors without concrete proof, so all of those rumors are not true and WHAT. THE. FREAKING. HELL! It's my first kiss! It's Lisa freaking Manoban who took it!

Even my ex, never let him kiss me!

"Hey, do you want to grab something before we head home?" Lisa asked while driving. I think she still feels the awkwardness around us because I stayed silent from the beginning of the ride.

I should be mad that you kissed me. But I let myself and even responded to your kisses.

I don't know why, but there are two things that I'm sure of.

I like it.

And I'm not regretting it. I hope you feel the same way too.

"Can we g-grab some ice cream? I'll pay you next time." I asked to lessen the awkwardness around us.

"So there's a next time?" She asked and smirked.

"You don't have to pay me back, Jennie. Ice cream is on me, lezgaaaw!" she exclaimed, which makes me giggle.

You really have this good weapon that makes me soft toward you in just a span of seconds.

--

"Hey, what are you doing?" Lisa asked confusedly because I was taking off my seatbelt. We already parked near the convenience store to grab some ice cream.

"What? I'll go with you." I simply replied.

"You know it's dangerous. Someone might see you," she said. Worry is evident in her eyes.

"I'll be fine. Look, there are no more people outside. They won't recognize me; it's already late in the evening." I said and gave her a smile.

"Pleeease? I'll be careful." I added using my baby voice, adding a pout at the end. She heaves a sigh and gets something in the backseat.

"You really know how to get me, huh?" she said. I smiled widely, delighted at winning.

"But wear this, okay?" Lisa added and gave me a beanie and a mask.

We got out of the car and went inside the convenience store. I placed my mask below my chin for a while because there were no massive threats inside. Lol.

"Hey, put your mask on." Lisa whispered behind my back.

"It's fine, Lisayah." Don't worry." I said.

We grabbed some snacks and went to the ice cream section when someone bumped into me. I looked up at the person I bumped into, but to my shock, it was someone who's really close to me.

"Chaeng.."

"Oh my god?! Is that you, Je-" I cut off her loud voice as I covered her mouth.

"Shhh. Chaeng, don't scream." I whispered into her ear, and she nodded. I put my face mask on, and we sat on one of the tables inside the convenience store.

"Uh, I'll give you guys privacy." Lisa said. I nodded at her, and she went on her way to the food section.

--

"How are you, Jennie? Oh my god. Where did you go? Where are you staying? Your mom said you didn't bring anything with you when you ran away from home." Chaeng asked continuously.

"Yah, calm down. You're not the rapper here." I said, and she hit my arm lightly with a glare.

"You can still crack a joke while I'm here, worriedly sick about you, huh?" she said and rolled her eyes. I chuckled.

"I miss you, Chaeyoung-ah." I said and gave her a hug, which she immediately reciprocated.

"I miss you too, Jennie-unnie."

"So what happened?" Chaeng added as she let go of the embrace.

"It's a long story, Chaeng.." I answered. Lisa was about to approach us when Chaeng spoke.

"Spare me a day to explain everything, but is this hottie with you?" she asked. Eyeing Lisa from head to toe I raised my eyebrows at what she did.

"Hi girls, I'm sorry to interrupt you for a while. I just want to give you these." Lisa said and handed us a snack and two bottles of water.

"That's so sweet of you. Thank you..?" Chaeng replied with a bit of a flirty voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Li-"

"Lisa, this is Rosé. You know her already, right?" I asked, and Lisa nodded.

"Chaeng, this is Lisa. A very close friend of mine." I said. I pulled Lisa to sit next to me and clung to her arms.

"A very close friend, I see." Chaeng silently mumbled, loud enough for me to hear it, and gave me a teasing look.

"Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Rosé Park." Lisa said, giving her a bright smile.

We stayed for a while to catch up and for Chaeng to get to know more about Lisa. Lisa absentmindedly spilled to Chaeng that her friend has a huge crush on her. Lisayah, get ready to meet Jisoo; you're doomed.

Chaeng also shared with us that she bumped into someone earlier, before we met. According to her story, this girl is a bit short, has a beautiful smile that can reach her eyes, and is very thoughtful. She's hoping to see that girl again. Whoever you are, you're lucky. You caught my Chaeng's attention.

"Unnie, it's getting late. I think I should go home. My driver has been waiting for me outside for an hour now." She said and chuckled.

"Wait, do you want to come with me?" Chaeng added.

I looked at Lisa and saw that she was also looking at me. Before I even uttered a word, Lisa spoke.

"It's fine, Jennie. Ms. Park is your friend; you should go with her." She said and gave me a small smile.

"Oh no, Lisa. We're also friends now, so drop the formality. Just call me Chaeng or Rosie." Chaeng said, giving her a smile.

"Oh, o-okay. Hehe. Anyway, I'll go now. Take care going home, Jennie and Chaeng." Lisa said and bid her goodbye to us.

I stared at Lisa, who was now heading out of the convenience store when I spoke to Chaeng.

"Chaeng, I think I'll go with Lisa. My dad will be mad at you if he finds out that I'm with you."

"But, Unnie, it's fine. I can explain to him." Chaeng said, giving me a worried look.

"I'll be fine, Chaeng. Lisa is taking good care of me. I don't want you to get involved with my problem." I spoke and caressed her arms.

"Are you sure, Unnie?" she asked, and I nodded in response.

"I'll give you a call. I think Lisa won't mind if I invite you some other time to visit me where she lives." I said.

"Okay. If you need a hand, don't hesitate to call me. This is my number. Give me a call, okay?" She handed me her calling card, and I nodded.

"Now go. Chase your future wife, Unnie." Chaeng said while pushing me out of the convenience store.

"What do you mean wif-"

"Pali-pali!"

"Lisa!" I called.

"Jennie? What are you doing here?"

"I'll go home with you." I said.

"I thought-"

"I'm too tired to explain; let's go home, Lisayaaah." I said using my baby voice and pulled her to where she had parked the car.

With you, I can see a better me.

Lisa's POV

We got home at exactly 12:23 a.m. As soon as we entered my apartment, Jennie went straight to her room, while I went first to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.

This day is so tiring, but it's really fun. reminiscing about those moments Jennie and I had earlier. I even met Rosé Park! Can you believe that? If Jisoo finds out that I met and had a conversation with
