I hurried back to the hotel when I saw the news on the TV. My friends kept on calling, but I didn't mind them. Even though the news breaks my heart, I am more worried about Jennie. I know Taehyung and Jennie are already getting along so well, but I know Jennie so well that this is not what she wants. I'm afraid I will witness again those emotions her eyes carried the moment I saw her all drenched from the rain.

She is going through a lot right now. She never stops pursuing her right to live as she chooses. I shouldn't be selfish with my feelings for her at this particular moment in time.

"I'm just here, Jennie. And will always be." I muttered and ran faster.

Jennie's POV

11:30 A.M.

I yawned as soon as I opened my eyes and noticed the time. It's already lunchtime, and yet I haven't seen Lisa.

"Aren't they done buying this for later?" I lazily mumbled and sat on the bed.

Still getting myself out of the dreamland, I heard the door open and saw Lisa panting heavily. I looked at her flabbergasted because the worry was evident all over her face.

"Hey, is there—"

"Nini, are you okay?" Lisa asked, cutting me off from my words while holding both of my shoulders. She's observing me by looking straight into my eyes.

"I am. Why are you—"

"Oh, thank God." Lisa pulled me in for a quick hug before asking, "But why do your eyes look puffy—"

"Lisa, what's happening?" I frustratedly asked because I'm starting to get worried.

"Did you cry?"

"No. I just woke up before you came in." I answered.

"Okay, okay. I'm glad you just woke up." She said and calmed herself.

"What happened to you? Did you run?" I asked. I stood up to get her a glass of water and a towel because she was sweating a lot.

"I.. I am. I'm just worried about you." She said and took the glass of water and drank all the contents. "Thank you."

"Make me understand, Lisa. If this is about yesterday, we can talk about it after our vacation." I said and wiped her sweat from her face down to her neck.

"It's.. it's not about it, Nini. It's--" Lisa hadn't finished saying what she was about to say when my phone on the bedside table vibrated, flashing Taehyung's name.

"Wait, I will just take this call," I said and grabbed my phone. I answered it while standing in front of Lisa.

"Hey, Tae. What's up?"

"Jennie, are you okay?" Taehyung asked. I'm confused because earlier it was Lisa who asked me if I was okay, and now it's Taehyung.

What the hell is going on?!

"I am. Why are you asking me if I'm okay? Lisa also asked me a bit earlier before you called." I said and looked at Lisa, whose head was looking down while she was fidgeting her fingers.

"Haven't you seen the news?" Taehyung asked.

"New? What about the news?" I asked. Lisa looked at me, and worry was evident in her eyes.

"Put me on speaker. I'll send you the article." Taehyung said and did what he said.

I clicked on the link that he sent me and read the contents of the article. I felt my knees getting weak because of what I read, but I remained still because I did not want to look weak again in front of Lisa.

Lisa noticed my reaction to the article and guided me to sit on the bed.

"Our freaking two-old man managed to pull out an article after getting us watched yesterday," Taehyung said, and I can sense that he's not also pleased with what our fathers did.

"I don't know how to react, Tae. This is getting out of hand." I said as anger is building up in me.

I thought Dad and I were already okay. I even rode along with Mom, making Dad think that Lisa was my girlfriend, and he was cool with it. But what is this?

"Don't worry about this, Jen. I already have a plan, but I need your help." Taehyung said.

"Are you with Lisa?" he asked.

"Yes. Why?"

"Oh, hello there, Hottie! Miss me?" Taehyung said and laughed out loud, making me look more confused. I turned my attention to Lisa and saw her rolling her eyes.

"You're gross. Do you know that?" Lisa said.

Okay? What happened with these two yesterday?

"I just want to say hi to you, you grumpy slow walker. Anyway, I have to go. My baby is already sulking because we're on a date and this old man is getting on my nerves."

"I'll call you guys after your vacation. Don't worry about it, Jen. Enjoy your weekend. Bye!" Taehyung said and hung up the call.

Our room went into complete silence until Lisa spoke.

"Baby? Date?" She asked, looking so confused.

"Yep. You heard it right. I simply replied.

"Jen, is he cheating on you and you're okay with that--"

"Lisa."

"Yes?"

"He's gay."

"Oh, okay--wha-wai-wha-WHAT?! He's gay?" Lisa looked surprised.

"Yes. Again, you heard it right. I answered.

"I.. I thought.."

"We're just friends. We even call each other girl or sis when we're together. That'll explain why Tae and I are very close." I said and gave her a cheerful smile.

"I'm sorry. I thought you guys were already a thing." Lisa said, looking very embarrassed.

"No, we're not. Why? Were you jealous yesterday? Am I right?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

"What? Of course not, Jen." Lisa replied in defense.

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Final answer?"

"Yes! Definitely!"

"You're jealous."

"I'm not, Jen. I'm not."

"You are."

"Jen, I'm not jealous—"

"THEN WHY ARE YOU CALLING ME JEN INSTEAD OF NINI?" I exclaimed and glared at her.

This monkey is getting on my nerves!

--
Lisa's POV

Uh-oh. She looks like a fuming cat.

"I'm sorry. I'm not jealous, Nini. I'm sorry." I said and came closer to her. She hugged me abruptly and buried her face in the crook of my neck.

"You're not talking to me since Taehyung came yesterday, Lili," Jennie said and let out a deep sigh.

"It's just that.."

"What?" Jennie asked gently.

"Okay, you win. I'm jealous. I-I'm just worried that you'll forget about me when you get completely comfortable around him."

"What are you saying? I won't do that to you," she said with a frown on her face.

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too. For making you feel like that," she said.

"You don't have to say sorry. You didn't do anything." I replied.

"Still, I'm sorry, Lili," Jennie said, tightening her hug. I tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed her head. We stayed in that position for a little while.

These are one of the moments that I always cherish.

I heard her stomach growl, and that was our cue to let out a laugh.

"The baby is hungry," I said, and she looked away. I saw her blush and pout.

"Come on, let's grab something to eat."

--

The day was well spent roaming around some of the tourist spots here in Jeju, like Hallim Park, the Spirited Garden, etc. We also had fun playing volleyball and tug-of-war the whole day. When the night came, we decided to watch the fire play and joined in on the dancing with other tourists to the loud music coming from the beach bar. Now, we're setting a bonfire and having grilled marshmallows and some light drinks just to enjoy the end of the day.

"Let's play!" Jisoo said.

"Aren't you tired of games, Chu?" I said and chuckled.

"Well, I guess it's quite boring and awkward if we just sit here, have light drinks, and eat marshmallows—hey! Chaeyoungah! HAHAHAHAHA! Stop that." Jisoo said, and when we looked at Rosé, she was already emptying one pack of marshmallows.

She gave us a peace sign and let go of the marshmallows. Waves of laughter are heard at what Rosé just did.

"Okay, so where are we? Ah yes. So I guess it's quite boring just to sit here, have light drinks, eat marshmallows, and not do anything. Come on, we're not like that. Besides, this is the last night of our trip." Jisoo said while clapping her hands.

"Okay, what kind of game this time, Chu?" Seulgi asked.

"Would You Rather" Jisoo said and smirked.

"Okay, explain the mechanics, game host," Rosé said.

"Well, it's simple. Anyone can offer two different choices. Much better if the choices are fun and exciting. Then all of us must indicate our preferred option. No "both" or "neither". We have to fully commit to only one of the two choices." Jisoo explained.

"Alright, give us an example," Irene suggested.

"For example, would you rather eat your poop or drink your urine?" Jisoo asked.

"Eww, gross!!" Said, everyone. Jisoo laughed.

"So now you get it? You have to choose one. No both, neither, or none. It's just like a getting-to-know-each-other kind of game." Jisoo further explained.

"Your choices are out of this world, Jisoos." Seulgi said.

"It's just an example. Come on, let's start." Jisoo said and sat up straight.

"Would you rather go without shampoo for the rest of your life or toothpaste for the rest of your life?" Jisoo asked.

"Your choices are really disgusting," I said.

"Come on!"

"Shampoo," Jennie answered.

"Me too," Irene said.

"Count me in, babes," Rosé interjected.

"I guess all of us will pick shampoo because, geez, how would you make out with someone if you have that dead-rat smell kind of breath?" Seulgi said.

"What the hell?!" I said, and all of us laughed out loud.

"Okay, next!"

"Me! Me!" I volunteered while suppressing a smile. Jisoo gave me a signal to continue.

"Would you rather eat your own flesh or the matter baby?"

Everyone is confused by my question until Jennie asks.

"What's the matter baby?"

"Nothing, honey." I replied and shot a wink at Jennie.

"OHHHHHHHH!"

"Smooth like butter ~" Seulgi sang and danced.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH, I THOUGHT WE WERE PLAYING NOT FLIRTING," Rosé said, and the rest of our friends teases us.

"You eat too much corn, Lili. You really got me there." Jennie said and playfully punched me in the arm. She hides her face on my shoulder. A tint of red is still visible on her cheeks, and we all laughed.

"Stop using drugs, Lis. You're already down bad." Irene said and wiggled her brows.

"Wait, speaking of drugs.. I just know recently that Rosé's parents are drug dealers." Jisoo said with a cold tone.

"Jisoo!"

"Chu!"

Seulgi and I stopped her because we knew what she was talking about.

"What? What are you talking about?" Rosé asked and looked so confused.

"Because I'm addicted to what they have made," Jisoo answered with a smirk, placing her index finger on her upper lip, acting like a mustache, and wiggling her brows at Rosé.

Yes, we're just helping Chu shoot her punch line.

"Oh, come on! That's too cheesy!" We all exclaimed and laughed.

"My gosh, Jisooyah. Because of what you said earlier, I already imagined my parents behind bars." Rosé replied with her hand on her chest.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Okay, that's enough. Let's play again!" Seulgi clapped her hands.

"Alright. I'll shoot one." Jennie volunteered.

"Would you rather lose all your money or lose all the pictures that you have captured?"

The majority of the squad says pictures.

"Money," I answered.

"Really? Why?" Rosé asked.

"Well, I can get another job or do anything to earn some money. But the memories captured and the moments that have been inside the picture—people or someone you love—I will always cherish having those more than money." I answered.

"But they say that the most beautiful memories are always caught by our own eyes, not by a lens." Irene said.

"Yes, that's true. But for me, pictures are more important than money. Because money can't buy those memories. Those pictures will even last until we're all gray and old and when the time comes that we don't recognize each other anymore. Those will be the proof that I really had the best days of my life with my amazing people." I said and brought out my camera with a tripod and set it up to capture this memory we have here in Jeju Island.

"Smile for meee!" I exclaimed.

*Click!*

--

All of us enjoyed the night playing Would You Rather. Waves of laughter and teasing are everywhere, and those are the memories that you will only capture with your eyes.

Memories that eye witnessed.

Everyone is kind of tipsy, and we decided to stop drinking because we will have to check out tomorrow before lunch.

"Okay, before we head back to our designated rooms, Irene, can I swap Seul for Rosé just for tonight? Pleaseee?" Jisoo said that makes us all chuckle. I saw Rosé's cheeks turn crimson red.

"Yeah, sure. I also wanted to have alone time with Seulgi." Irene boldly replied.

"OOOOOHHHHH.."

We all started to tease them because it was also the first time that we heard Seulgi squeal like a teenage girl because her crush said hi to her.

"Okay, okay. Last question, everyone!" Jisoo yelled.

We were all waiting to hear what Jisoo's final question would be.

"Would you rather take a risk or lose the chance?" Jisoo asked and laughed.

Chu, I will surely kill you now. Say bye to your Rosé.

"I'm just kidding. Come on, let's call it a night." Jisoo added while laughing.

Little did Jisoo know that I was about to attack her from behind.

*SPANK!*

"YAH, LISAYAH!" Jisoo shouted and chased after me.

"That's for teasing me since this morning, idiot—AAAAHHHHH!"

"Hey, that's enough!" Jennie exclaimed while laughing.

Laughter was heard everywhere because of what Jisoo and I were doing. I really love this dork so much, but sometimes I really do have to spank her to shut her up.

God, I love this trip so much.

My punch lines are lame, forgive me. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
