Riley's P.O.V

"Oh whoa! That is incredible. I can't believe that is our baby." Denny gushed as we lay on his bed, with the picture from the 12 week scan we got today, thankfully everything is good...baby is healthy, growing how it is meant to be, which has made me relax and ready to start planning.

"It really is something else." I giggled

Denny had been this way for the last ten minutes, I found it adorable and sweet.

"Sorry, just kind of mesmerized with the full thing. Does that mean we can start planning? Start shopping?" he said excited "And tell people?" he added

"Yes to all of your questions." I laughed

"Yeah!" he smiled widely

Only people that knew about the baby was Denny's mother, Chloe and us, we have not told anyone else, wanted to keep it to ourselves until we knew everything was OK. As for my parents I have not heard a single word from them since I walked out over a month ago and I have not even bothered trying to contact them either, what would be the point? I don't need them, they don't want me or this baby, there loss.

"Riley are you OK? Why are you crying?" Denny asked panicked all of a sudden

I am crying? I never even noticed...silly hormones of mine, I cry way too much.

"Sorry, was thinking about my parents." I said shrugging

"Riley if you wanna go see them I can drive you up there?" he said wiping my tears away

"No that is OK, I don't wanna see them, just can't understand how they can be that way. Family is meant to love and support each other." I said crying again

"I know baby, they don't deserve you. Always remember Riley, you got me, my mom and April, you are part of this family, and of course baby." He smiled, rubbing my stomach

I nodded, smiling at him. He was right even though my own family don't want me, I still have a family, Denny's family has made me feel more loved and part of the family in less than a year I have known them than what my own family have my entire life. I am done with them, I have my own family to concentrate on now. I am gonna make sure I am the best mother I can be, like Jean.

"I know, that is all I need." I smiled reaching in capturing his lips in mine, kissing him gently

"You are stuck with us all now." He winked, laughing

"I wouldn't have it any other way." I replied, reaching in, stroking his face

"Good. I love you baby girl, don't ever forget that." He said

"I love you too." I replied

I curled up to him, Denny holding me tightly and protectively close to him. He reached in, kissing the top of my head. I sighed, smiling to myself, I really am a lucky girl to have him. Denny had been amazing since I told him, looking after me, making sure I was OK...making sure I wasn't over doing anything. He has been how can I put it...a little too over protective but I wouldn't want him any other way, shows he does care and loves us both, though not gonna lie it can get a little annoying at times, would never tell him that. I have my own way to distract him if he gets too annoying, the perks of being a woman.

A comfortable silence filled the room, the both of us getting lost in our own minds, properly both thinking about everything we need to get, everything that needs to be sorted. I knew we would work it out, we make a good team, and we always have. Denny shifted himself onto his side so he was facing me. He reached in, playing with my hair, looking at me, a look on his face that I wasn't familiar with. He seemed a little off...nervous even. I raised my brow at him, cocking my head to the side a little, making him chuckle.

"What you got going on in that head of yours?" I asked curious

"Nothing, thinking that's all." He laughed

"Bullshit!" I laughed

He seems to forget I can read him like a book, I can tell when he is not telling me everything. He rubbed the back of his neck, a nervous habit of his that I have become very familiar with. He reached in, placing his hand on my hip, the same nervous look in his beautiful eyes once again.

"Marry me?" he finally manged to get out

Denny say what now? Did he really ask me to marry him? Surely not, baby brain must be messing with my head, maybe I need sleep, maybe I am dreaming. I looked at him to find him looking at me and I could feel his hand shaking a little. Oh that did just happen then?

"What?" I asked shocked

"Marry me?" he repeated

"You are messing with me right?" I asked

He chuckled a little, shaking his head

"No I am being very serious. Marry me Riley?" he said

"Oh whoa! You aren't just saying that cause I am pregnant are you?" I asked nervously

"No of course not. The fact that your pregnant has properly gave me that little push to ask you but no that is not the reason why I am asking." He said "You gonna give me answer or leave a guy hanging?" he laughed

Oh whoa! He was being serious? I should properly give him an answer shouldn't I? Married...me? Oh my, too Denny? This is crazy.

"Yes." I finally heard myself stutter out

"Really?" he asked the biggest smile appearing on his beautiful face

"Yes, really. Sorry took as long to answer, wasn't quite expecting that." I laughed

He reached in, crashing his lips against mine, kissing me firmly and quickly before pulling away.

"I wasn't planning on asking you, not right now anyway but it felt right...it felt like the right time to do. I will get you a ring. Maybe I should have planned it first." He said getting nervous again "that was a terrible proposal." He stuttered.

I giggled, reaching in, pecking his lips

"It was perfect. I don't need a ring Denny, as long as I got you." I smiled

"I will get one I promise. You mean it, you will marry me?" he said a nervous mess again

Could my boyfriend...actually fiancée get anymore adorable?

"Of course I mean it. Not until after that baby comes though OK?" I said

"I will wait for as long as it takes. You have just made me one happy man Riley do you know that?" he gushed capturing my lips in his again

I kissed him back, wrapping my fingers in his hair, deepening the kiss, pushing my body closer to him, well as close as I could due to the little bump I now have. He rolled over, pulling me on top of him, not breaking the kiss once. I smiled into the kiss

"We should celebrate." I giggled

"Mmm what did you have in mind?" he smirked

"I think you know." I said pressing my lips against his once again, Denny smirking against the kiss.

I woke up after falling asleep after Denny and I "celebrated". I went to reach for him but he wasn't there....where did he go? I stretched, climbing out of bed, heading downstairs to find him. Maybe it was all a dream.

"Denny told me the news." I heard Jean squeal

Not a dream, all real. I giggled as she rushed over to me, hugging me

"I can't believe you are getting married. You are officially gonna be my Daughter-in-law. I am so happy for you both." She gushed

"Thank You. I am a very happy girl. Where Is Denny? I woke up and he was gone." I asked

The biggest smile appeared on her face when I said that. I looked at confused. She nodded behind me. I raised my brow, turning around to see where she was nodding to. When I turned around I was met with Denny, down on one knee, a ring in his hand

"I thought I should do this properly. Riley will you marry me?" he smiled brightly at me

"Yes." I said finding myself crying again

Denny chuckled a little before getting to his feet, sliding the engagement ring on my finger. 

Where did he even get it? How long was I out? I stared at the ring now on my finger, it was stunning...beautiful.

"How long was I out? Denny it is beautiful." I gushed

"It was my grandmothers, my mom was holding onto it for me. I had no clue she had it but when I told her I proposed to you she rushed to get." He smiled

"Really? That makes it even more special. Thank you." I said crying, hugging him tightly before going over to hug Jean as well

"I held onto it until I knew Denny met the one he was meant to be with. And it fits perfectly, another sign if I may say so. I am so happy for you both, we should all go out celebrate." She said hugging us both

I nodded, Jean rushing off to arrange plans I am guessing. I turned my attention back to Denny to find him watching me, the biggest smile on his lips and his eyes full of love. He pulled me into him

"I love you, so much Riley. I never thought it was possible to love someone this much especially in such a short time but you proved me wrong. I can't wait to spent the rest of my life with you, have a family with you." He said kissing the top of my head

I looked up at him, tears streaming down my face once again

"I love you too. And I can't wait to spent the rest of my life with you, be your wife...oh whoa your wife, that is gonna take some time to get used to, still trying to get used to the fact that I am gonna be a mother too." I giggled

"You and me baby, we got this." He said kissing me

I can't believe this was all happening, can't believe that I was gonna be a mother and a wife, I was never sure if I would have all that but now I know I will have it all, I could not be happier. It is amazing how much can change in less than a year.
