Aprils pov

"Do you want to get out of here?" Jason asks after a while.

"Yeah." I say while stepping out of his embrace, My eyes stinging with unshed tears.

"Today I will not cry! Today I will not cry!" I chant to myself.

Jason takes my hand in his and I lean into his shoulder.

We exit the training hall and Jason leads me to a small path that looks like it leads to a forest.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Someplace where we can be alone." He says while squeezing my hand.

"We can also be alone at home, can't we?" I ask curiously. His face lights up at the word home.

"This place is special. No one has ever been there, not even..." He trails off.

"Amelia?" I finish.

He nods in response.

"Although, if you still want to go home then its fine." He says while turning back and heading to the direction we just came from.

"No!" I say quickly and run after him, I grab him and hug him from behind.

His body becomes still at my actions.

"No Jason, I don't want to go home." I say quickly. "Take me, take me to your special place."

He turns back and after that we fall into comfortable silence.

He leads me into the forest and we soon come to a clearing. I spot a small cabin at the centre with beautiful flowers surrounding it.

"Wow. Its beautiful." I exclaim.

"Not as beautiful as you." He says while looking at me making me blush.. He then proceeds to take a key from under a stone and opens the door.

"I'm sorry its a little dusty, its been a while since I've been here." He says while turning the light on.

Its a one room cabin that has a fireplace in the corner, a chandelier that's hanging in the middle of the room , a carpet huge enough to fit the whole floor and a set of pillows on the floor that act as seats. There's a small table on the other corner and this particularly piques my interest.

I walk towards it and see photos pinned on the wall.

However, as I try to take a closer look Jason pulls me into his embrace and now he's hugging me from behind. I love the feeling of his hands around me. Its absolutely beautiful.

"Not today." He says as he pulls me towards the fireplace.

He starts working on the fire while I make myself comfortable in one of the pillows. The fire quickly comes to life and I find myself getting lost in my thoughts.

I feel a blanket being draped over my shoulder and I look up to see Jason smiling down at me, He then pulls up a pillow and sits next to me.

I cover him with the blanket and he moves even closer to me while wrapping his arms around me.

I love the feeling of being in his arms... Its just.. Just... No word can ever describe how good this feels.

"Its nice, huh?" He says as if reading my mind.

"Its perfect." I say.

"I know you probably don't want to talk about today." He says after a while.

"You're right." I say while taking a deep breath.

"Can you please just tell me something? Anything?" He pleads.

"I was rejected." I say because it seems fitting to start at the beginning.

He tenses and then growls. Growls in anger or jealousy? I don't know.

"Then?" He asks holding me tighter.

"Not today, Please not today." I plead.

"Its okay. I'll wait." He says.

"What if it will take a hundred years?" I ask.

"I'd wait an eternity for you April" He pauses. "I want you to know that I'll always be here for you no matter what. You are my mate, my beta female and most importantly you are mine! " He says while placing a soft kiss on my forehead and it is then that I realise why I haven't broken down or cried.

It is simple really.

Its because of him, He makes me strong.
